Pillar of Yita

He just glanced at the schedule and saw Ragnarok’s next opponent, and couldn’t help but laugh.

The audience in the livestream also took a look and laughed along.

”Oh my god, Ragnarok has such bad luck.”

”Haha, they barely beat the Little Princess, and now their next opponent is even tougher.”

”Ugh, what a letdown, I came to watch this match just because I heard Silver Weslan was led by the Little Princess—”

”Don’t worry, brother, watch as Virus Goddess avenges the Little Princess soon.”

The livestream was filled with teasing voices.

It’s not that Odin’s popularity is so poor that not even a few loyal followers can be found. It’s just that the gap between Ragnarok and Elite is so wide that even outsiders looking at the schedule can’t help but have a moment of silence for the young folks of Ragnarok.

First clashing with Silver Weslan, then facing Elite, Ragnarok’s team clearly didn’t check the almanac before going out, did they?

The Wandering Horse glanced at the previous match records and shook his head. He saw that Ragnarok’s victory over Silver Weslan was narrowly achieved, and narrow victories often involve a stroke of luck. It seems this team will meet its end here.

”But I’ve heard that the other half of the bracket is a military team. What’s the Shadow Throne all about?”

”New Southern Border Alliance, haven’t you heard? It’s been quite popular recently.”

”A Grand Guild?”

”No, it was originally an obscure little guild.”

”This group format is quite interesting, entering Section B with a guaranteed top-two position.”

”That’s not necessarily true; Shadow Throne defeated the Rose Cross Army to get here.”

”These small tournaments sure have a lot of surprises.”

People were discussing, critiquing the expertise of professional Invokers.

The Wandering Horse didn’t agree with everyone’s opinions, but he just responded with a smile, as he naturally had a laid-back personality, which was part of his charm. He checked the livestream, perceived some activity, and then typed to remind everyone that the match might be entering the banning phase.

The crowd quieted down.

Sure enough, the official livestream’s commentator had received the data and started analyzing both teams’ lineups. The two invited guests on-site were passionately debating, each offering their own insights on Ragnarok’s possible strategies.

One guest thought that for Ragnarok to overcome a stronger opponent, they must use surprising tactics, attacking from directions Elite wouldn’t anticipate, to have a slim chance of survival. The other guest looked down on this idea, believing that for a team like Elite, there are no surprise tactics, and it’s better to honestly study the opponent’s weaknesses, and use the strategy of betting on horses selectively to seek victory.

Although the two guests were animated in their debate, the Wandering Horse could tell they both favored Elite. Their detailed analysis was merely for show effect. As a broadcaster himself, he knew this well.

You can’t just say Ragnarok is doomed, take them down and wait for whatever, it would offend people, and what suspense would be left for the match then?

Meanwhile, the two guests were speaking carelessly, and the livestream was bustling. Except for a small number of people still foolishly discussing how Ragnarok could possibly beat Elite, most were frantically criticizing the commentator guests for being clueless and speaking nonsense.

The two guests indeed had solid mental fortitude, remaining unfazed in the face of criticism and continuing their chatter for quite a while.

The Wandering Horse watched it all, unable to help but grin and chuckle.

However, in terms of the banning phase, Ragnarok’s side released the results first. But as soon as the results were out, Elfendo Plaza erupted in commotion, because people there could see the outcome on the sky projection first—

Then the banning results from Ragnarok were transmitted to the livestream.

The commentator glanced at it and immediately distributed the materials, handing them to the two guests. The two, engaged in enthusiastic debate, lowered their heads for a look, and instantly fell silent.

They exchanged glances, unable to speak for a moment.

At that moment, the commentator made a gesture for the staff to display the banning results in the lower-left corner of the livestream:

Ragnarok—ban Large Constructs, choose Plugin, Crystal.

Elite—ban Fairy Master, choose Magic Guided Conductor, Flexible Construct.

Upon seeing the results, the livestream audience erupted—

Not because the results were bizarre, but rather because they were too ordinary. Ordinary as if they were just two teams completely unfamiliar with each other, making the most conservative choices—ban Large Constructs, ban Fairy Master, choose Plugin, choose Magic Guided Conductor, choose Flexible Construct and Crystal.

Almost every option was the most typical choice. What obscure subjects are ordinary Alchemists least familiar with? Magic Potion Studies, Fairy Master, Large Equipment, and Dragon Knight could take the top four spots. What domains are ordinary Alchemists most familiar with?

Precisely Magic Guided Conductor, Plugin, Crystal, and Flexible Construct.

For Elite, conservative was perfectly reasonable, as they could dominate opponents in any domain without needing surprise tactics.

But what on earth was Ragnarok thinking with their choice? Plugin and Crystal, even the Wandering Horse hesitated a moment upon seeing this choice, instinctively feeling that Ragnarok had forfeited, as they stood no chance in these domains.

The keyboard warriors in the livestream shouted loudly, with remarks about Ragnarok losing their minds, throwing matches, and betting on greens spiraling out of control. However, the Wandering Horse knew the last point was almost impossible, as the odds between Elite and Ragnarok had already dropped drastically.

Yet for some reason, seeing these results, a strange thought fleetingly crossed his mind.

Could there still be twists and turns in this match?

Yet this thought was something he couldn’t even bring himself to believe.
