Pillar of Yita

The crowd finally turned their gaze to the somewhat genteel young man, unable to believe how he managed to turn the tide in Sir Roban’s presence. Could this young man be even more formidable than the hero of the Battle of Bain in legend?

The Earl smiled slightly: ”It was precisely when Master Cyril, responsible for controlling the Dragon Strike Gun, was injured that Rolin took the initiative to assume control of the Dragon Strike Gun. His first shot hit precisely, providing the heroes with the crucial opportunity to defeat Toragotos.”

”Without this crucial moment of responsibility, there wouldn’t have been this hard-earned victory. Therefore, it’s entirely fair to say that Rolin rewrote the outcome of this combat and saved many families. Sir Roban also mentioned this in his letter to me, stating openly that Rolin’s future in Alchemy is limitless—”

Everyone present was stunned after hearing these words.

Fang Hong himself was also taken aback.

The full name of the Dragon Strike Gun is ’Kainuki’s Dragon Strike Demon Gun.’ It is a large Magic Guided Conductor, but it’s not just a Magic Guided Conductor; it actually belongs to a special category of Dragon Knights like ship-type Dragon Riders.

But it doesn’t possess a Dragon Soul nor a Dragon Core, precisely a type of Flexible Construct that craftsmen take pride in — a Pseudo Dragon Knight. However, due to the lack of Dragon Soul and Dragon Core, the operation of such a Magic Guided Conductor is exceedingly intricate.

Even Alchemists of genius lineage need a solid foundation before daring to operate it; otherwise, the enormous calculations flooding the mind might foolishly make one become an idiot — it’s a commonplace occurrence.

Controlling the Dragon Strike Gun on a dangerous battlefield requires not only strong calculative power but also courage and responsibility that are enough to inspire awe.

Fang Hong was privately aware that for this young man to be able to control the Dragon Strike Gun, it indicated that he had at least mastered Multiple Parallel skills.

Ande had told him that Multiple Parallel was extremely mysterious in the First World, but it was actually one of the foundational core skills of Pseudo Dragon Knights in the Second World.

In the hall, large and small Alchemists inhaled at these words. If this young man truly possesses such skills, then the praise in Sir Roban’s letter is by no means inflated; it might even be somewhat underestimated. Is his future in Alchemy simply limitless?

He is unprecedented.

But the Earl was not satisfied and continued: ”Alongside great skill, good character is essential too; otherwise, history is replete with fallen individuals. And Rolin, he’s not just a participant in this great battle; since the Fenris incident, he’s also been involved as a Holy Chooser, running around for the refugees of Fenris.”

”He even participated in rescue operations and reconstruction in Cloud Harbor following the disaster, leaving a good reputation locally. Even Bishop Tirios has met him before. The Bishop is currently in the Southern Region and can testify to this.”

The hall echoed with murmuring sounds.

”So it was him,” Hilveld said quietly to Fang Hong. ”I’ve heard of this person when I was in Cloud Harbor.”

”How come I haven’t heard?” Fang Hong was taken aback.

Miss Ship’s Officer smiled: ”Lord Captain, you were asleep at that time; how could you have known? If you don’t believe me, you can ask Tianlan and the others.”

Fang Hong then turned to ask everyone individually and indeed received similar replies.

The young man’s modesty in the face of everyone’s accolades only increased their admiration for him, generating endless compliments.

And the Earl clapped his hands.

He then concluded the introduction with a somber narration: ”I suppose all should remember that during Fenris’ disaster, a young and brilliant colleague of ours remained forever in the dark underground. Though we still don’t know his identity, he remains the pride of Colin Ishurian and simultaneously our regret.”

”For if that young pace had not halted there, perhaps we would have had an astonishing genius.”

The crowd recalled the situation then, falling silent.

”Probably someone not only an astonishing genius,” Phales spoke with some distress in the crowd.

”What did you say?” Ande turned back to ask.

”Nothing.”

The Earl looked at the young man beside him and nodded slightly: ”Luckily, this land never lacks fertile soil for heroes; the fallen young soul shall always be remembered. And more, successors like Rolin, carrying on his spirit, are walking the same path.”

Applause filled the hall once again.

Tianlan giggled at Fang Hong: ”Did Brother Ade hear that?”

She mischievously imitated the scholar-like tone of the Earl: ”The fallen young soul shall always be remembered, but more successors like Rolin, carrying on his spirit, are walking the same path.”

”Brother Ade ended up being a backdrop.”

Before finishing her sentence, she received a signature Ade knuckle tap on her forehead.

”Fame-hungry crowd, devouring blood-soaked buns,” Tang Xin replied indifferently, causing Fang Hong to jokingly clutch her hand, saying: ”Tangtang, I’m not dead yet!?”

Ai Xiaoxiao looked at her in surprise, exaggerating: ”Tangtang, that’s too sour, aren’t you?”

This nearly made Tang Xin livid, only casting an annoyed glance at her friend.

At this point, Hilveld gently tugged on Fang Hong’s hand.

Fang Hong then turned back.

”There’s some problem,” Miss Ship’s Officer whispered quietly.

”What?”

”Lord Captain, do you believe he can control the Dragon Strike Gun?” Hilveld asked.
