Pillar of Yita

They were in danger.

But Fang Hong couldn’t help but feel fortunate that he had recruited Liuli Yue. Although Liuli Yue was not very competent in other areas, she was quite persuasive in the domain of Flexible Construct as a Combat Artisan—

Liuli Yue scored 95 points, which was still a bit short of the little girl’s 98.7 points, but the gap was within an acceptable range.

For the second round, crystal creation, Cui Yu took the stage.

He unsurprisingly scored 94 points, while the Silver Weslan side had their captain score 99 points.

The third round was plugin creation, and their opponent indeed sent the contestant with considerable talent in this field as noted in the data.

Fang Hong scored 98.5 points, identical to his score in the previous round on the Omnipotent Plugin without a single point difference, while the opponent scored 91.3 points.

At this point, the gap between the scores could be described as not having widened substantially; Silver Weslan’s two effective scores were 98.7 and 91.3 points, averaging to 95 points, whereas Ragnarok’s average score was 94.5 points.

The gap between the two teams was less than one point.

If it had been MTT, they might have scored around 92 points in the plugin round, possibly even leading the opponent by one point, but this would result in their total score trailing the opponent by over two points.

Trailing by two points in total meant Dill needed to close the gap by more than four points in the final round, and in such a competition, where a four-point difference was not easily overcome.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but feel relieved, wiping his sweat as he glanced towards Sophie, not far away, only to see the Silver Weslan Princess gritting her silver teeth and glaring at him fiercely. Fang Hong was speechless, ”How is it my fault?”

Up to this point, before the fourth round commenced, they were still trailing in scores, even though Dill had never shown her talent in Magic Potion Studies in front of outsiders before and was always held as the final trump card by Soul Fingerprint.

Yet, in such a competition, who could say? Performance on the field was only part of it; there was also the on-the-spot performance and whether the opponent had hidden troops, which no one could predict.

Therefore, when the third round ended, Fang Hong saw the petite girl carrying her set of tools to the stage, he couldn’t help but sweat a little. ”Dill,” he called her. The girl turned back with somewhat lifeless eyes looking at him.

”Don’t be nervous, just perform as you usually do,” Fang Hong tried to encourage her.

The girl merely nodded, ”Mm.”

Her voice was much calmer than his, leaving Fang Hong feeling like his encouragement was unnecessary.

The result of the match was not unexpected.

The Silver Weslan contestant was not skilled in Magic Potion Studies, but managed to score 90.7 points in the Total Dissolution Elixir, while Dill narrowly defeated her opponent with 92 points.

Fang Hong silently calculated before saying ”phew” quietly; they narrowly defeated the opponent by just 0.1 points to advance to the next round, narrowly avoiding being drowned if the Silver Weslan Princess’s scheme had succeeded.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

As expected, shortly thereafter, the tournament organizers announced the final match result.

Silver Weslan vs Ragnarok; Ragnarok wins—

This news immediately ignited a third of the arena, with people—especially the Invokers from all over the place initially disbelieving, whispering to each other to verify the accuracy of the news, but when the match result was finally displayed on the light curtain in the sky.

Even Elfendo Plaza fell silent for a moment.

In people’s minds, the first thought was that there was an upset, and then this unreal thought took root in their consciousness, letting them realize that Silver Weslan was indeed eliminated. They couldn’t help but glance at the name Ragnarok, and the second thought emerged in their minds:

A dark horse was born.

Ragnarok, previously at the bottom of the Alchemy Realm, actually managed to eliminate Silver Weslan.

When the people of Eis returned to the arena, they saw this scene, and except for the tall young man, everyone was stunned. ”Did Ragnarok really win!?” The person before couldn’t help but open his mouth wide, ”How did they win? It wouldn’t be favoritism, would it?”

Conspiracy theories were inevitably a common thought among many.

But only the tall young man, lowered his head, looked at the Omnipotent Plugin in his hands with a contemplative expression. The thought that even he couldn’t believe was truly and uncontrollably spreading from the depths of his heart, growing wildly.

He finally remembered, he seemed to know that person.

Because he had watched a match in the Continental League—

The last official match qualifier held in Elpaxin.

He couldn’t help but swallow lightly.

But he did not tell anyone this wild thought.

...

Fang Hong saw Sophie leading the Silver Weslan group to shake hands with them. ”Congratulations on entering the semifinals.” Though the Silver Weslan Princess glared at him fiercely, her tone was genuinely sincere, ”Good luck. If you lose the next match, you’ll pay for it.”

Fang Hong scratched his head.

As he shook hands with her, he discreetly gave her a look and then whispered, ”I want to make it to the finals.”

”You want to participate in that challenge?” Sophie’s eyes flashed. As a talent being intensively cultivated by Silver Weslan, she naturally had her information channels, even though she didn’t attend the banquet at the Westwood Sibika mansion last night, she had heard about some happenings from the banquet.
