Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong once thought that Hilveld’s family had great prestige in the Southern Region when he was in Dulun, but he didn’t expect their circumstances to be so dire, and couldn’t help but say: ”Should we leave this place?”

Hilveld shook her head: ”Of course not,” her eyes sparkled as she smiled: ”If we leave, how can we continue to exploit each other with these people? I still have value, and having value is a good thing, Lord Captain. Having value means you can bargain with it, it means you can extract more benefits.”

Fang Hong listened with his mouth agape, as if he was seeing a noble lady for the first time.

But Hilveld just gently placed her hand in his palm, her hand felt a bit cold under the night sky: ”I’ll handle these matters. Lord Captain, just leave it to me. You just need to focus on your own business.”

Fang Hong gently nodded, thinking that it was fortunate to have her and Tangtang. If he had to deal with these matters, his head would feel several sizes larger.

”Actually, if not for this,” Hilveld added: ”Delice’s father wouldn’t have verbally agreed to hand over the Heart of Fairy to us.”

”Verbally?”

”What else?” Hilveld asked: ”You didn’t think he would really hand it over so easily, did you? Of course, if you were the heir of the Rose Workshop, that would be different.”

Fang Hong fell silent. He suddenly understood something and quietly asked: ”So that’s why you had Teacher Ande propose that suggestion?”

Hilveld nodded.

Fang Hong looked at the dark forest in front of him, with lights behind them, which should be Tianlan, Luo Yu, and their group waiting for them there. He took a breath and replied solemnly: ”I will give it my all, Hilveld.”

Hilveld looked at him and nodded.

The two of them walked out of the forest, and the first thing they saw was not Tianlan and the others, but Ande who was waiting there.

The old man, with his servant, his face full of wrinkles, was smiling at the two of them.

Fang Hong was surprised to see him and hurried forward to greet him: ”Teacher, how come you’re here?”

”Having helped you with some matters, can I not come to see this foolish student of mine?” Though his words were stern, Ande’s tone was quite relaxed. He looked at Hilveld: ”The little girl of the Albert Family, I’ve really tried my best this time. While you favor this silly boy, that Rolin is not weak either.”

Hilveld just smiled and nodded.

The old man then asked Fang Hong: ”So, are you confident about the competition tomorrow?”

Fang Hong thought for a moment and replied: ”Not bad, the others shouldn’t be a problem.”

He was actually thinking about the mysterious Rolin. What identity does he have? If he is indeed on the side of the Dark Giant Dragon, his role in the ’Death of Toragotos’ must be significant.

The opponent can manipulate the pitch-black star, and considering how highly Delice’s father regards him, it proves the adversary’s formidable power.

Facing an unknown opponent, he didn’t dare to say he would certainly win.

”The others shouldn’t be a problem?” The old man gave him a stern look.

He seemed a bit uneasy and said to Fang Hong: ”You have quite the tone. So, have you revisited all those things I’ve taught you these past few months? Don’t forget you’re a Combat Artisan by trade; while you have talent in Alchemy, an individual’s energy is limited, and you need to weigh your options.”

Fang Hong was afraid that the old man would suddenly smack him on the head, so he quickly nodded.

However, Ande apparently forgot about it and suddenly sighed: ”But you don’t need to think too much, just aim for a decent ranking in this competition. If there’s a chance, I will recommend you in a more fitting venue. Hilveld has faith in you; the rebuilding work of the Seven Seas Rebuilders can only be entrusted to you, and Vilavito will understand this.”

Vilavito, Delice’s father, Count Westwood Sibika, but Fang Hong felt aggrieved. What does he mean by trying for a decent ranking in this competition? It’s boosting the opponent’s morale too much against his own.

Ande, seeing his expression, couldn’t help but laugh heartily: ”You foolish boy, it’s not that I underestimate you. But the young man Vilavito picked up is simply extraordinary. Let’s not even mention the prophecy; he can manipulate the Dragon Strike Gun. Do you know what this means?”

He patted Fang Hong’s shoulder: ”Everyone has different talents; there’s nothing strange about it. Besides, your talent as a Combat Artisan might surpass his. It’s just bad luck to meet him at the Continental League.”

”Not necessarily.” Fang Hong couldn’t help responding.

”What, you still have any luck to hold onto?” The old man was a bit surprised. In his impression, this silly student of his never exaggerated and called things precisely as they were, with no sign of youthful competitiveness in him.

”Teacher,” Fang Hong scratched his head: ”But I’ve been to the Hall of Thousand Doors.”

”What has where you’ve been got to do with the competition?” Ande shook his head but suddenly widened his eyes: ”Wait, where did you go?”

Fang Hong was instead startled by Ande’s exaggerated reaction, so much that his speech became incoherent: ”Hall, Hall of Thousand Doors.”

”Which Hall of Thousand Doors?” Ande was shocked, fearing that his foolish student had been deceived.

”Of course, the one in Nevade. I’ve been to Summer’s End Tower, Teacher Ande.” Fang Hong finally responded truthfully.

Hilveld just stood by, watching them with a witty smile.

”You’ve seen Mierliu Ximi Si?” Ande asked again.

Fang Hong nodded: ”It was Mr. Anluose who brought me into the Hall of Thousand Doors.”
