Pillar of Yita

The light of the Silver Formation gradually faded, and the circular plaza, which emitted silver radiance in rings, was returning to silence and darkness.

The hall darkened.

The Tower Guard stood at the center of the plaza, gently lowering his hands. Odin and a few others stood not far away, watching Anluose look up at the wall in front, which was embedded with countless, various wooden doors. In the darkness, the Tower Guard’s white robe glowed softly.

He did not turn back but suddenly walked forward, directly towards the tall circular wall, then, as if passing through it, disappeared into the wall between two doors.

Everyone watched this scene in disbelief. ”Where did he go?” someone turned and asked.

”I don’t know,” Odin also shook his head.

Although he interacted the most with the Tower Guard here, he couldn’t claim to understand this ”Elf.”

The Tower Guard was always mysterious, just like this Hall of Thousand Doors. He became its Guardian a century ago. And saying it was a century ago is because those with earlier memories have passed; it could be even longer.

People could never comprehend the thoughts of the Natives, so they stopped asking.

After all, Earth and Eteliria have different principles, cultures, and traditions, not to mention this is a world with True Gods. Strong beliefs could alter the behavior of locals, especially those ancient Guardians like the Lizard People who still live today.

Or this ”Elf” could be a representative of some deity in the Mortal World; no one knows for sure.

The person observed for a while, then turned and asked, ”So, are we just waiting here?”

”Let’s wait and see,” another person replied, ”I heard that time passes much slower inside the Doors, but generally, most people come out in a week or two, at the fastest seven or eight days.”

”How long did Loofah take at the time?” the person asked.

”A week,” Odin replied.

A week, not more, not less, just enough.

The person waved a hand, and a chair floating above in midair flew to them, landing in their hand. They opened the chair, sat down, and stretched lazily, saying, ”Well, just like a vacation.”

The person who answered earlier couldn’t help but tease, ”Sounds like the Descendant of Wind never gets a vacation.”

”Haha,” the person laughed, ”It’s not like your Ten Great Guilds.”

He then asked, ”How long do you think this kid will take?”

Others shook their heads.

No one can accurately say; moving fast doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good, though being too slow is definitely not good. Those who stay in the world beyond the Doors for more than two weeks often get stuck on a certain threshold and have to give up eventually.

Even if they struggle past, the more challenging next level might make them recoil.

Among all, only Leiya remained silent.

The person turned around, looking at Lady Douding with her hands on the Great Shield, and asked, ”Sister Little Nine, what do you think?”

Leiya shook her head earnestly, ”I won’t make reckless conclusions,” she replied seriously, ”But I believe in Ade. He not only has talent but is also very diligent. Diligent people will always be rewarded.”

This was indeed a standard Little Nine-style response. Fans loved seeing her serious demeanor that didn’t match her cute appearance. Everyone who knew her was fond of this. Her club was happy to use this as a selling point for her persona.

But actually, for ”September,” this was just her nature. The reason for choosing the Papalarians was simply that they were cute.

What’s strange about girls liking cute things? Although she was always very stern, she had the heart of a young girl.

”By the way, where’s Odin?”

”He was around earlier.”

People suddenly noticed someone was missing, and when they looked back, someone said, ”I think I saw his Communication Crystal light up, and he went to the side.”

As soon as the words were spoken, people saw the King of Warriors returning hastily with a somewhat solemn expression. Seeing something seemed to have happened, they couldn’t help asking, ”What’s wrong, what happened?”

Odin lightly shook his head.

He replied, ”Something happened at the Stargate, and the Guild urgently summoned us back. Check if you have any messages.”

Everyone was taken aback, then checked their own Communication Crystals. Some had turned off their communicators, and upon opening them, they found a flood of messages rushing in like a tide. Their expressions changed drastically, and they looked up:

”It’s true, I got messages too.”

”I got messages as well.”

”The Guild sent me an email.”

”Quick, check the community.”

”No need, there’s no news from the community,” Odin replied, obviously having checked already.

”So what do we do now?” people couldn’t help but ask.

”We definitely prioritize the Guild matters,” Odin thought for a moment and replied, ”but someone needs to stay here too.” He turned to look at Leiya, ”Little Nine, you stay here, I’ll explain to your Guild.”

Leiya gently nodded.

”Thank you, Little Nine.”

Leiya lightly blinked her long eyelashes and replied, ”No trouble, senior members initially had a common covenant, and discovering new talent is also for the future of Invokers like us.”

”As long as you understand,” Odin nodded, then told the others, ”Everyone, let’s head to Dulun together first. Ragnarok has an airship there; I’ll arrange for someone to see you off.” He covered everything comprehensively, once said to have leadership qualities, he indeed became a leading figure after becoming one of the Ten Kings, comparable to Chenxi, the Chairman of the Silver Weslan Guild.
