Pillar of Yita

”Hello, my name is Leiya Senar. At Mr. Odin’s request, I’ve come to tell you how to confront a Defender—”

”First, let me introduce myself. I hail from the Colin Ishurian Holy Word Knights. My profession is Knight, not Paladin. Without false modesty, my shield is among the best in the nation, and overcoming my defenses renders most protections before you ineffective.”

”But that’s no easy feat...”

”So, know your enemy and yourself, and you will fight a hundred battles without defeat. That’s why, before learning how to break a steadfast shield, it’s best to understand what the honorable path of defense is. That’s what I’ll be telling you in today’s lesson.”

Fang Hong looked curiously at the person in front of him.

The person speaking these imposing words was not tall and majestic as one might imagine, but rather had a striking contrast.

Because Miss Leiya, like Parker, was a Papalarian. She was petite, and the Great Shield she held was even larger than herself, making the enormous shield and the small knight lady appear quite mismatched.

But compared to Parker, she was quite a dignified lady.

You might think that the word ’dignified’ is inherently incompatible with the relaxed and joking nature of the Papalarian people.

But that’s not the case. Fang Hong had long heard of this lady’s fame. She came from the Colin Ishurian Holy Word Knights and was not an unknown figure but rather the one jointly elected by the Knights as the current Grand Commander.

Though the lady commander had a small appearance, she had a pair of spirited eyebrows and a pair of eyes that were just and penetrated the hearts of people.

She was always ready to use the sword in her hand to confront any foe and had long been renowned worldwide for her justice and bravery. Although an Invoker, she commanded the respect of many. People respectfully called her the ’Shield of Justice’ to commemorate her fairness and sternness during her tenure.

To claim she is the nation’s top Shield Guard is no exaggeration.

Not possessing the qualities of the Ten Kings, her reputation in Colin Ishurian far exceeded that of others.

Now, this lady commander was extending her small hand to Fang Hong, speaking in a childlike voice, ”Nice to meet you, please guide me.”

Fang Hong cautiously shook hands with this little lady.

What made him slightly uneasy was that he didn’t feel the lady’s awe-inspiring presence.

Instead, he found her somewhat adorable—

By the way, this lady commander is already 26 years old, a legal loli.

On one side of the platform.

A group of people was either sitting or standing under the towering canopy of the ancient oak, watching from afar as Fang Hong was knocked around by the Grand Commander of the Colin Ishurian Holy Word Knights.

But these people had no sympathy whatsoever, and even seemed to watch the scene with some amusement—at this moment, a ’youth’ carrying a huge backpack turned back and cheerfully said to the others, ”Little Nine is still so methodical and puts in full effort, that little guy isn’t really going to be beaten to death, is he?”

The Little Nine he referred to was actually the official ID of this lady Grand Commander—Holy September. And Leiya was merely her name among the nationals, while Senar was the name of her knight commander’s territory.

Everyone shook their heads.

”You guys know she takes everything seriously, so why call her here?” someone asked.

”That was Odin’s idea.”

”But we must admit, Little Nine is indeed the country’s top Shield Guard now. In some respects, Odin must have had his reasons?”

”Speaking of which, what do you think of this kid?”

Someone suddenly mentioned.

Hearing this, the crowd turned back, shaking their heads.

”How did he pass the trainee assessment when he doesn’t even know basic knowledge.”

”The same on my side.”

”He’s far from Loofah’s smarts.”

Handwasher was laughing so hard he nearly rolled off the platform, finally managing to steady himself, slapping his leg as he laughed, ”...Hahaha, do you know? That kid actually asked me how much an Experience Potion costs, hahaha...do I look like a Pharmacist, hahaha, oh dear—”

A smack on the back of his head stopped him. Ming looked at him with annoyance, ”What’s so funny—say a few less words, as no one will mistake you for a mute.” Seeing her anger, others shut their mouths.

However, someone also spoke up, ”Actually, what Nether says is not wrong, at least in the field of Combat Artisans, he’s indeed a decent prospect.”

”Probably more than that...”

At this time, someone else spoke up.

The crowd turned to see that it was one of Ragnarok’s main Musketeers, a top-ranked presence in the domestic professional circle.

But then again, who among everyone here isn’t such? If an ordinary onlooker passed by now and saw this group of people, they would probably be shocked speechless.

Out of the top hundred Invokers in the country, nine out of ten of the leading figures were here. Whether it was Construct Queen Ming, Handwasher, or Leiya, Chenxi, and KUN along with Black Tea, who among them wasn’t a renowned figure in their field?

However, everyone has their area of expertise, only to hear the Musketeer speak, ”That fellow...has an unbelievably accurate aim...”

”If it weren’t for the boss’s opinion, I would have thought he was more suited to be a Gunslinger...”

Hearing this, the crowd was slightly surprised. They didn’t expect him to have such a skill.

The related discussion increased. ”Also, didn’t you notice the experience discrepancy?” someone asked.
