Pillar of Yita

Understanding the situation on the field, Fang Hong whispered in his heart, ”Miss Tata, I’m coming.”

”But is your hand okay, Mr. Knight?” Miss Fairy asked in his mind.

Fang Hong tore a bit of bandage with his teeth, wrapped it around his right hand to temporarily stop the bleeding, and nodded.

Among the remaining two opponents, one was the previous crossbow shooter, and the other was a fighter, who seemed to be the leader of this team. Their strength wasn’t weak, easily suppressing his Energy Angel—

Fang Hong was well aware of this level of strength, at least on par with a Big Catfolk. In one-on-one scenarios without any restriction on Constructs, he usually could only manage a tie with a Lion Paladin in training.

Not to mention whether the Big Catfolk would hold back was still a question.

Now it was one against two, and he had also lost the initiative, making the situation very disadvantageous.

But Fang Hong responded quickly, immediately taking control of the Energy Angel from Miss Tata—though Miss Fairy’s control was more precise, due to the lack of Combat Skills and experience, in actual combat, it might not necessarily be better than his own presence.

As soon as he took over the Energy Angel, he gently swiped his right hand, immediately activating the ’Swift Burst’ plugin of the Energy Angel on the right.

This move could be said to be reckless, as the magic power within the Energy Angel’s Core Crystal sharply decreased, which meant the Flexible Construct would exhaust its magic power in a short time, but at the cost, its speed suddenly increased significantly.

Fang Hong raised his hand again.

Under command, the Energy Angel turned, its blade sweeping a circular arc towards the crossbow shooter, this sudden fierce attack took the latter by surprise, wanting to dodge, but seemed too late.

Fang Hong’s objective was to first deal with one of them at limited cost.

Because according to the response from the other side’s Energy Angel, he already sensed the battle was difficult to maintain, the fighter on that side was very troublesome, each intentional force to clash swords or fists with the Energy Angel, the Construct was entirely at a disadvantage.

Even though the Energy Angel still had a Sensing Ring to support, but under successive defeats, any component could eventually exceed its critical operating temperature and fail.

However, things did not go as hoped, causing Fang Hong’s heart to sink, the remaining two opponents were surprisingly troublesome to deal with.

The crossbow shooter, knowing he couldn’t react in time, actually stepped back, with a blue-green light also shining from the Magic Guided Reactor behind him. Fang Hong recognized it clearly, it was the flash of Ether Magic Power flowing into the Blue Square Crystal, which was also the plugin container for skills like ’Swift Burst.’

In the next instant, the opponent’s movements became unbelievably fast, retreating another step, dodging the strike. However, attack and defense do have an order, and the crossbow shooter was ultimately a bit slow to react, with the sword blade still leaving a blood mark on him.

It was not a fatal blow, which was unacceptable to Fang Hong.

Because on the other side, the fighter had already broken through the Energy Angel’s defense with a punch, hitting its chest, the humanoid Construct shattered, scattering parts everywhere.

As the opponent broke through the defense, they immediately used a fighter’s exclusive skill ’Crow Attack,’ charging straight at him, this skill provided a massive boost in linear speed, coupled with an astonishing jump ability—as such, the opponent leapt up, resembling a Cold Raven spreading its wings on a moonlit night, swooping straight at him.

Fang Hong was left with two choices:

One was to continue pursuing the crossbow shooter, life or death, still going for a trade.

The second was to turn and run, Crow Attack had an astonishing straight-line speed, but when it came to circling, it had no advantage.

But Fang Hong didn’t move at all.

At this moment, a flash of fire appeared in the distance.

Hilveld fired again, the bullet spun with flames, flying almost towards the fighter’s face. Though the damage of this blank bullet might not truly break through the fighter’s Block Value, the latter didn’t know this, and instinctively dodged.

And this dodge marked the end of ’Crow Attack’s’ effect.

As he stopped, three wasp-like Constructs flew in immediately, dropping a hollow metal sphere, which, infused with magic power, hovered in mid-air, exploding upon nearing the fighter.

But the explosion wasn’t of fire but of air vibrations.

Waves of energy that left the fighter dizzy and disoriented. However, this profession was mainly agility with secondary constitution, so the supposed dizziness duration was only one or two percent effective due to his resistance.

Even though the Screeching Banshee deployed all of its Floating Bombs at once, it only stunned the opponent for a moment, after which he shook his head and regained clarity.

Within those one or two seconds, Fang Hong still managed to do a lot.

He was determined to take down that crossbow shooter, calmly issuing orders for the Energy Angel to pursue further.

After all, Papalarians were such oddities and were few. The opponent was originally just a Ranged profession, and having lost the initiative, regardless of how skilled, couldn’t exert more than a tenth of their total strength in close combat.

The person hoped the fighter would distract Fang Hong, allowing him to create some distance—but he never expected that this young man, despite his young age, had an unbelievably strong will, and was determined to face the fighter’s assault head-on with the fragile physique of an Alchemist to take him down.

He used all his strength, only managing to dodge the first two sword strikes, the third strike lost its balance along with evasion, finally getting his right foot pierced by a sword.
