Pillar of Yita

Of course, he doesn’t have ambitions so grand as to compare with legends like Loofah.

But he’s not entirely useless, right?

In the mouth of this King of Warriors, he seemed like someone who, if not saved, was about to rot in the ground. Fang Hong thought to himself, feeling the other was somewhat exaggerating.

At least in the Battle of Fenris, didn’t everyone praise him unanimously? The other had clearly witnessed it at the time.

But Odin, seeing through his thoughts with a glance, sneered:

”I remember you mentioned you were investigating the Fenris incident?”

Fang Hong was taken aback; indeed, the last time he brought it up was in that snowstorm-ridden cave. At the time, he mentioned it by the campfire, hoping the other would take it seriously.

Or at least to keep Ragnarok from getting too close to the Shadow Throne—

After all, this King of Warriors was one of the ’witnesses’ of the Fenris Event, and his understanding of the Dragonfire Guild and Rain Listener incidents should be deeper than anyone else’s. Yet the conversation ended with the other merely glancing at him without continuing.

This made him hesitant to delve further, worried that Ragnarok might already be too entangled with the matter, especially after the Southern Region events with the Super Competitive League—he found himself even less trusting.

But unexpectedly, the other brought up the topic proactively now. Fang Hong looked at this King of Warriors, unsure of how to respond for a moment.

Thankfully, Odin didn’t intend for him to answer, and continued: ”I know a little about the Dragon Worship Sect,” he looked at Fang Hong, ”but do you know why I didn’t talk to you about it last time?”

Fang Hong shook his head.

”Then what level are you?”

”Ten, fifteen... sixteen.” Fang Hong recalled he had leveled up once in Dulun, but hadn’t had time to spend the experience, and quickly corrected himself to avoid seeming too weak before the King of Warriors.

Yet Odin, hearing this, gave him a speechless look: ”Fifteen?”

”It’s, it’s Sixteen.”

”Does it matter?” Odin shook his head, ”So what are others doing at sixteen? What are you doing at sixteen? Don’t you have a clue? Or do you think the Dragon Worship Sect is just a bunch of newcomers that can’t handle you?”

”But—”

”Did you notify Stargate Port and Silver Weslan?”

Fang Hong nodded honestly.

Odin looked at him speechlessly again: ”So that’s enough, this is exactly where your problem lies, what do these things have to do with you? You’re just a newcomer, just fulfill your responsibility, who do you think you are? The Savior?”

He mercilessly pointed out: ”It’s important for a person to have self-awareness, that’s the most crucial point, you should know your primary task is to improve your strength.”

Fang Hong was left speechless.

Although the other was making sense, isn’t it sometimes just that things find their way to you? It was the same in Dulun, and in Fenris—he truly wanted to improve his strength—the problem is, thinking about it, didn’t he actually level up the fastest amidst these events?

How many levels did he gain after one Fenris event? And how many after experiencing the Dolifen environment?

Does the average person have this leveling speed?

Of course, the risks were huge, if possible, Fang Hong would indeed choose a more stable way to level up.

But Odin obviously didn’t know about these complex thoughts in his heart, only glanced at the bed behind him before replying: ”So stop overthinking and be honest, you have seven days before the departure, you have a day to rest—and then in the coming days, I’ll arrange a special training for you.”

”Special training?” Fang Hong was stunned.

He couldn’t help but wonder since when could a warrior give special training to an Alchemist. Or perhaps, the King of Warriors is unique, mastering some skills that ordinary warriors cannot, which are even useful for an Alchemist.

But Odin gazed deeply into his eyes and said: ”Of course, it’s not just me, rest assured—I found some people to give you a thorough assessment, to see if there’s still hope for you—”

Saying this, he turned and pushed the door open to leave.

But after pushing the door and leaving, Odin suddenly realized something.

The other was only level sixteen now, so what level was he during the Fenris event? He paused instinctively, suddenly wondering if he’d misheard before. But looking back at the door, he was too embarrassed to return and ask.

Thinking it over, he shook his head and chose to leave.

...

”You’re going back?”

Ye Hua looked at the young man before him with some surprise.

After entering March, the wind and snow in the Northern Territory had long since ceased, but snow still covered the vast forests, a white expanse seen from afar under the sun. Yet the melting process had already begun, ice crystals turning into snow water, trickling into the nearby streams.

After the river thawed, upstream occasionally still carried some ice layers, from afar the river surface glimmered.

Enan-Mokaiser looked at the distant scenery, beyond the Holy Bow Peak lay the Southern Region. This was the life he had once dreamed of, and now besides Feyos still missing, there was little else to worry about.

But he looked northward and shook his head:

”Lady Sophie showed me that armor, it really was my brother’s armor, but missing for just a week or two in the snow, the armor shouldn’t be so corroded.” He replied softly: ”Although Dulun is temporarily stable, Ye, you and I both know, it’s merely a facade, the real issue remains unsolved.”

He paused briefly, hesitating before speaking: ”I’m worried about my father, no matter what my relationship with him, he is my father. And you should know, my father is currently the key to stability in the Southern Region, if anything happens to him—”

Ye Hua remained silent; he didn’t necessarily wish for the Southern Region to remain stable either, as the stable situation wasn’t necessarily favorable for their current position. He hoped Enan could become a banner for the old alliance, attracting Southern nobles to their side.

Otherwise, Invokers alone would find it difficult to contend with the Super Competitive League, especially when allied with the Prime Minister’s faction.

He initially hoped Stargate Port would intervene, but since the Battle of Dulun, Stargate Port maintained a peculiar stance—neither intervening nor helping with the Super Competitive League’s mess.

This current situation perplexed him more and more.

Enan clearly understood Ye Hua’s thoughts too, unlike Fang Hong—not naive about politics, but their relationship led him to leave certain things unsaid.

Decisive in leaving, he simply replied: ”With Mr. Ye and Hilveld taking care of Delice, I can feel at ease, Lord Earl’s commission is fulfilled. I’m also more worried about Feyos, so I must return to Dulun.”

They had known each other for a long time.

Ye Hua clearly understood the young man’s character, nodding: ”Alright, since you’ve decided, I won’t persuade further. But Ade barely managed to rescue you, even risking himself, aren’t you going back to give him an explanation?”

Enan paused.

Only then remembering the young man who had saved him from the chaotic situation that day.

He sighed lightly.
