Pillar of Yita

The best way is to act before time, and the next best is to reduce the target of action—thus, how to let other members of the Adventure Group leave Dulun first is particularly important. Therefore, Fang Hong thought for a moment and decided to split up.

This direction happened to be near the edge of the square, and he looked in that direction before sharing his thoughts with Sophie.

The latter listened and readily agreed.

”You mean for me to go and gather the others first?” Sophie glanced at him, guessing his thoughts.

Fang Hong nodded. Since only the three of them had entered the square earlier to get a closer look at the Phoenix Holy Spirit mentioned by Lady Kuisu, the others should still be around the perimeter of the square—or even retreated to the inn once the chaos began.

He had asked Tianlan through the Communication Crystal earlier, and the answer was almost the same — only the group on that side was split in two, with Atira, the Big Catfolk, and Lady Kuisu not being together with them.

Luo Yu and a few others were staying at the inn with Delice, the Uncrowned Crown, and those from the Forest.

But according to them, Atira, Lady Kuisu, and the Big Catfolk were not far away at the time, probably still near the inn.

Although Dulun was in a state of chaos at the moment, Fang Hong believed that if anyone in the team could gather the others in this chaos, it would be none other than the Silver Weslan Princess.

Comparing combat abilities, Mr. Reed might be slightly inferior to her.

And in terms of meticulousness, she might only be second to Miss Ship’s Officer.

More importantly, as the Captain of the Silver Weslan Elite Youth Training Group, she was willing to follow his arrangements in such an environment—while they might also rely on Xi and the Uncrowned Crown, as well as those from the Forest, they paled in comparison to the Princess in this regard.

Sophie listened to his opinion, thought for a moment, and then asked: ”What do you plan to do after that?”

”If possible, it’s best to get the others out of here first.”

Sophie looked at him: ”I have no issue, but you’ll be alone on your side?”

Fang Hong shook his head: ”I’m going to rescue people; the smaller the target, the better.”

Sophie pondered for a moment too before nodding.

Fang Hong then turned to look at Hilveld behind him: ”Hilveld, you should go with Miss Sophie as well.”

In fact, having a ranged ally for rescue could provide some cover and be safer. But since they had just established a relationship, he obviously didn’t want her to be harmed in the chaos.

However, Hilveld couldn’t help but smile and brushed her long hair: ”The Lord Captain is also planning for me to leave first. It’s not impossible, but how do you plan to prove your identity in front of Enan?”

This evasion was quite unique.

Fang Hong was momentarily taken aback, as he hadn’t thought that far ahead yet.

Beside him, Sophie couldn’t help but say: ”Miss Hilveld is actually right, Ade, you’ll need to take her with you. Enan Modkaiser has never met you; he wouldn’t trust a stranger.”

Fang Hong was silent for a moment but realized now wasn’t the time for indecision, so he nodded. Still, he was a bit worried, so he glanced at her and reminded: ”Then you must stick close to me.”

Hilveld smiled, her eyes curving: ”I understand naturally.”

Sophie watched the two and couldn’t help but find it amusing. She really wanted to remind this fool—in terms of direct combat, this guy as a mere Combat Artisan might not actually be a match for a Gunslinger. And in case of an unexpected situation, it’s uncertain who would be protecting whom.

But the three didn’t dawdle, and after dividing their tasks, they split into two groups.

Without Sophie, a main combat force, Fang Hong naturally became much more cautious. He led Hilveld across the battlefield, trying to avoid combat—since the Energy Angel was quite conspicuous, he only deployed a single Walker for protection.

But doing so proved to be unexpectedly effective.

Others saw that he was a Combat Artisan and wasn’t affiliated with the Grey-clothes or the Super Competitive League, or any side of the City Defense Force. For a moment, there weren’t many who recklessly approached, allowing him to reach the other side of the square smoothly.

Previously, the Clockwork Fairy had lost track of the target, but he still had a rough idea of the direction Enan Modkaiser had left.

He occasionally adjusted his Wind Goggles’ vision, again seeing the City Defense Force trying to block the opponent from the sky—Fang Hong didn’t see the Praetor, but he must be headed in that direction. The Duke’s youngest son seemed clever, not aligning with the Southern Region Alchemist’s Combat Artisans—if he had gone that way, he would likely have been stopped midway.

The opponent seemed to have chosen an opposite direction, where there were more Shadow Throne people, but few regular Invokers knew him, treating him at most like an ordinary citizen, allowing him to reach the perimeter of the square unhindered.

He was even about to enter a side alley.

And it was at this moment that Fang Hong finally found the other side’s location through the Clockwork Fairy’s vision.

But at the same moment, he also found those Ragnarok Alchemists’ Clockwork Fairies—seeing those sneaky Clockwork Fairies from above, he couldn’t help but curse himself for being downright foolish.

No wonder he couldn’t find where the other side’s Clockwork Fairy was hiding; the answer was so simple—

Their Clockwork Fairy had been hiding under the eaves all around, motionless. Had it not flown from that direction when Enan Modkaiser appeared, he wouldn’t have seen it.

The stationary Clockwork Fairy is actually a typical tactic, but usually, only rookies play this way; he knew this but had ignored the possibility momentarily.

This was truly a loss of face.

Fortunately, it wasn’t in Kapuka, so no one noticed it.

However, Fang Hong frowned, realizing that although he had discovered the opponent’s Clockwork Fairy, the current scene clearly showed that the opponent also found the target’s location. Upon thinking of this, he immediately adjusted his vision to a widescreen mode.

The next moment, he indeed saw a group of Shadow Throne people moving toward that direction.
