Pillar of Yita

”Are you sure you didn’t see it wrong?”

The elder knight nodded.

The man finally turned around and gave Odin a glance. The latter straightened up immediately—but Dulun’s Praetor shook his head: ”No need for such formality, Mr. Odin, you Holy Choosers are naturally different from us...”

Odin replied with an awkward smile: ”Apologies, it’s a habit, Praetor sir.”

The Praetor nodded: ”The Super Competitive Alliance has asked you to assist us, and the Prime Minister is very grateful. We will remember the help you’ve provided to His Majesty in this world, and one day you will receive the corresponding reward.”

”Ragnarok is very thankful.”

The man nodded and went straight to the point: ”So, what are your thoughts on that combat, sir?”

”The opponent is not weak,” Odin thought for a moment and replied, ”I mean at this level, the opponent’s strength is quite formidable. And, our people spotted Silver Weslan’s members in that Adventure Group...”

”Silver Weslan’s members?” The Praetor thought for a moment before recalling the name of these Holy Choosers’ guild: ”Aren’t they also supposed to be under your Super Competitive Alliance’s constraints?”

”To some extent, yes, but recently they’ve been getting close to Stargate Port.”

”What do you mean?”

”Hard to explain,” Odin shrugged. He was just here to complete the mission, not obligated to discuss the domestic league situation with the other party, ”but Silver Weslan should not openly oppose the Super Competitive Alliance—”

”Alright, in any case, let’s first identify the other party,” the Praetor answered: ”Bakins is someone His Majesty is looking for, and as for the others, you can handle the negotiations.”

Yet there wasn’t much room for bargaining in his words—

Odin also understood that Eteliria ultimately belonged to the native people of Eteliria, this was the way Colin Ishurian nobility acted, being able to discuss with them was already treating them as equals.

He nodded.

Then glanced again at the pursuing parties outside the window.

He thought for a moment, then sent a message to an ID discreetly:

”What has your Shadow Throne been up to lately?”

...

”It seems they are people from Shadow Throne.”

After running for a while, Fang Hong finally turned his head to take a look and seemed to recognize those people’s identities.

He ran swiftly, and with Clockwork Fairy’s assistance, he never got blocked in the crowd. The other party chased for a while but couldn’t catch up, ultimately giving up and cursing at him before retreating.

”It’s them.” Hilveld clearly recognized them early on.

”What are they doing again?”

Due to the Dragonfire Guild incident and the troublesome Alchemist looking for trouble with them, Fang Hong’s impression of these people was clearly not good.

Hilveld just shook his head.

Only then did Fang Hong see that the other party retreated not just because they couldn’t catch him but because a carriage was coming from the other side of the long street, and after retreating, they began to protect the carriage from both sides.

The carriage was dull-gray, with its family crest removed, and when its door opened, two people jumped out, dragging another person from the carriage. That person struggled a bit but lacked the strength to resist, and still got off the carriage.

This was probably another mission.

If under normal circumstances, it wouldn’t be unusual for guilds to carry out a collective mission, Fang Hong wouldn’t even glance at it. But remembering the incident Tianlan and Parker encountered at Masongke Creek’s base, he took another look.

But with that one glance, he was slightly stunned, the person pulled off the carriage had a shape evidently of a woman, making him feel somewhat familiar.

But it was at that moment, a few others noticed him and Hilveld, turning to walk over. Seeing this, he immediately pulled Hilveld towards the street corner.

”Did you see clearly?” he asked Miss Ship’s Officer, ”That scene just now, could you identify who that person was?”

Hilveld bowed her head in thought for a moment, then suddenly lifted her head, with a hint of surprise flashing through her ocean-colored eyes: ”It seems to be Feyos.”

Fang Hong was taken aback, and then he realized, no wonder she seemed familiar—the person’s back was almost identical to when Miss Maid left the tavern. What are they kidnapping Feyos for?

If it was someone else, it wouldn’t matter, but the plan Shadow Throne revealed in Masongke Creek’s base concerned him all the time. Moreover, Miss Feyos is not exactly a stranger to them.

The other party had helped them once not long ago.

Fang Hong made a decision quickly and said to Hilveld: ”Cover me for a moment.”

The Noble Lady understood immediately, pretending to be indifferent and stood in front of Fang Hong, who used her as cover and raised his right hand. The Clockwork Fairy in the sky paused slightly then flew towards a specific direction.

The Shadow Throne’s people were escorting the girl off the carriage, heading into the alley from before. Fang Hong watched this scene from afar before directing the Clockwork Fairy to soar above the alley, leaving a barely perceptible, faint golden trail across the narrow sky.

He allowed the lens to gaze downward and activated the narrow vision mode, seeing clearly through the magnification.

The girl wrapped in a cloak and hood, if not Feyos then who?

”Have you found her?” Hilveld asked.

Fang Hong nodded.

With a ’click,’ he squeezed his glove.

The Clockwork Fairy instantly ascended as he commanded.

The golden Construct switched to wide vision mode and immediately calculated the surroundings’ terrain in the bird’s-eye view—Fang Hong pulled down the wind goggles and, within moments, identified a passage through the dense, intersecting road network.

Their destination seemed to be a closed tavern on the street a block away.

Fang Hong enlarged the view to read the sign above the tavern:

’Miranda’s Resting Place’
