Pillar of Yita

”Go help them.”

As the Ancient Monarch Hunter and Fang Hong both fell to the ground, Sophie suddenly picked up a sword and said to the others. This princess of Silver Weslan was also known for her decisive actions. After dropping that line, she charged out ahead.

Xi, without saying a word, dragged the war halberd and quickly followed her Companion Star Knight.

The others were half a beat slower—they had indeed noticed that both the boss and Fang Hong had reached their limits, still clinging to the excitement of the battle, eagerly waiting to see what trick the opponent would try on the ancient king, only to find that their ’Little Princess’ had opted to intervene at that moment.

They hadn’t seen it, but Sophie had.

The guy was a bit flustered now—

Whether Fang Hong could deal with this boss was also a matter of chance—there was nothing surefire about it—having reached this point, he could only do his best by gritting his teeth and fighting on. At least, after the Ancient Monarch Hunter dismounted, as a Heavy Warrior, the threat from the opponent dropped a notch, not to mention the nightmare warhorse itself was troublesome.

Ignoring the pain over his body, Fang Hong scrambled up from the ground first and instantly commanded the Walker to crash from behind, pinning down the ancient monarch trying to rise. But the Lord of the Cold Forest, the Lord of the Crows, wasn’t so easy to provoke. Even as merely a phantom, it forcefully lifted the ground, flinging the Sword Bearer flying.

Fang Hong hastily juggled the controls of the Sword Bearer in mid-air, managing to land stably on the ground. The onlookers from Silver Weslan were amazed. Maintaining balance in the air is not easy for ordinary people, let alone with a Flexible Construct.

Even if the top hundred Combat Artisans were to come here, not all could guarantee a 100 percent success rate, yet Fang Hong succeeded twice in a row, and it was all about control techniques, irrespective of level, status, or identity.

They had long noticed that Fang Hong had a unique and precise style of controlling Flexible Constructs that was challenging for average Invokers who usually preferred quantity over quality.

What does this level represent?

As non-professionals (non-combat craftsmen), the people from Silver Weslan couldn’t make much of it, but they faintly felt that even setting aside the Summoners System, the Natives’ manipulation of Flexible Constructs must be about this level.

In Eteliria, the Natives, because of decades of daily control, could master the basic knowledge of Flexible Constructs with proficiency and precise control, having a natural advantage in calculative power compared to Invokers who had a natural disadvantage.

And Fang Hong was subtly integrating the two styles. If one spoke of delicate control, it seemed to these people that aside from Loofah and his ilk, no one could surpass him; if it was about Multi-Control, the two Sword Bearers present had already proven the point.

But he wasn’t even above level fifteen yet.

But Fang Hong couldn’t hear these people’s thoughts.

Because the Ancient Monarch Hunter had already picked up the sword from the ground and was walking step by step towards Fang Hong. It was a Heavy Armored Knight, classified among Heavy Warriors, but with a much higher level. Even the walking speed was enough to thrash Fang Hong. Therefore, turning to run was out of the question, let alone that Xiangzi was almost unable to hold on.

However, Fang Hong still raised his right hand, pointing from afar at the Undead Monarch.

The Walkers flanked it from both sides—

Blue flames surged within the chest of the Ancient Monarch Hunter, whom without even sparing a glance at the Sword Bearers at its sides, raised its pale sword, pointing straight at Fang Hong’s forehead. ”Be careful, dodge!” Sophie’s voice pierced through the fog, reaching him from afar.

Fang Hong was still wondering where the familiar voice came from.

But before he could comprehend, a pale light had already burst from the tip of the Ancient Monarch Hunter’s sword, aiming straight at him. To the others, this light seemed more like an arrow shooting directly towards Fang Hong’s forehead.

Yet he remained motionless, as if frozen.

But just as the pale light was about to reach him, a silver shield emerged in front of Fang Hong. The arrow of light struck the shield, shattering it instantly, but the pale light, before anyone could react, bounced back even faster and struck the Ancient Monarch Hunter.

This strike was probably the most effective damage Fang Hong had dealt to this boss since their battle began. And because the Ancient Monarch Hunter was much taller than Fang Hong, the reflected pale light hit it right in its chest glowing blue, sending it flying back.

And it landed just where the two Walkers arrived, one ahead of the other.

Fang Hong raised his hand, instructing the first Sword Bearer to raise its arms high, positioning its twin swords to pierce right below the shoulder blades of the Ancient Monarch Hunter, penetrating its ribs and protruding two blue-flamed blades from its chest.

The immense impact forced the Sword Bearer to step back, dragging four deep marks into the ash-covered ground, but its arms remained high like a flag, holding up the Ancient Monarch Hunter on its double blades. The Ancient Monarch Hunter let out a deep roar, this hit evidently not dealing a fatal blow, struggling to get down, its immense strength making the Walker creak as if it were about to fall apart.

Fang Hong clenched his teeth and turned the Magic Power Output up to the maximum, while with a gesture of his left hand, he caused the other Sword Bearer to leap up, shooting towards the chest of the Ancient Monarch Hunter in mid-air. At a flash of cold light, its blade-like legs pierced right into the chest of the Ancient Monarch Hunter.
