Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1474 - 722: 3 Months

In less than half an hour, Xu Xin was already over a hundred kilometers away from the World Tree.

Because the World Tree was destroyed, all the tools like helicopters they had made before were also completely destroyed.

So, he came here riding Huihui.

”Ah—”

Huihui was hovering over the wreckage of the three giant ships of the alien invaders.

Xu Xin looked down at the wreckage, feeling a headache.

A physical headache.

The radiation here is really strong.

Even though Huihui was a few hundred meters high in the air, it still made him very uncomfortable.

He looked down.

The three giant ships were all riddled with holes.

What shocked him was that besides the obviously twisted cracks on the ships, there were also some orderly shaped holes on the hull.

Most of these holes were circular, and their edges were flipped outward from the giant ship.

This was quite intriguing.

Clearly, these holes were actually burst open, pushed outward from the inside.

And from the shape... could it be the giant tentacle monster Yingying mentioned earlier?

If these holes, at least four or five meters in diameter, were burst open by the tentacles of a tentacle monster, how big must that monster be...

Just thinking about it was a bit terrifying.

Fortunately, the Transmission Array is no longer there, so there would be no tentacle monsters climbing out of the light beam of the transmission.

Xu Xin looked carefully.

Through these holes and large cracks, small fissures, he could basically see most of the inside of the giant ships.

The interior of these giant ships was almost empty.

This was normal, Ji Chaoyang also told him that after these three giant ships crashed, they conducted a very intense nuclear bombardment on the wreckage.

At this moment, the wreckage of the three giant ships all lay in a huge crater over a hundred meters deep.

Ji Chaoyang’s bombing directly turned this place into a ”meteor crater.”

Under such intense bombardment, it was nearly impossible for anything inside the ships to withstand the strength of a nuclear blast.

So, most of the interiors being empty was quite normal.

However, he still had to go down and take a look.

”Huihui, are you feeling uncomfortable?”

Xu Xin patted Huihui beneath him and said.

He didn’t bring Keke this time, fearing her small body couldn’t bear the radiation here.

”Ah—”

Huihui’s voice was full of energy, and even its circling speed increased a lot.

It seemed to be proving to Xu Xin that it had no problems at all.

Xu Xin nodded.

That meant it could hold out, as long as there weren’t any major issues, Qi Xuefei’s medicine would be able to recover both him and Huihui.

”Let’s go down and check out that giant ship wreckage first.”

The giant ship he was pointing at was the most intact among the three ship wreckages, at least retaining a complete giant ship structure.

If there were any self-activating tanks inside any of the giant ships, this one would be the most likely.

”Ah—!”

Huihui immediately nosedived toward the giant ship wreckage that Xu Xin was pointing at.

Then with a spin in the air, it directly drilled into a large fissure on the hull of the ship.

”Hey—!”

This nearly threw Xu Xin off, but fortunately, he held on tightly.

Huihui’s acceleration while diving was much faster than freefall.

It was more thrilling than bungee jumping...

Huihui landed and bent forward.

Xu Xin calmed his heartbeat.

He didn’t leap off Huihui, but instead looked around.

Empty.

It was really... too empty.

The inside was really devoid of anything.

The entire giant ship was just a huge empty shell.

Normally, the interior of the giant ship should have layers.

But naturally, the internal layers were not made with the material strength of the hull, likely being blown to molecules under such violent nuclear strikes.

Sunlight shone through the large breaches of the massive hull of the giant ship, and some... oddly colored, seemingly multicolored grass was growing in the soil exposed from the hull’s breaches.

”Grass has actually grown here?”

It hasn’t been long since the bombing, clearly?

But thinking about it, it made sense. This place was already influenced by the World Tree where vegetation growth occurs.

The life force of the World Tree is formidable, on soil influenced by the World Tree, it can recover vitality shortly after any bombardment.

Just like beside the Crystal City, where small green sprouts are already emerging all over, it probably wouldn’t be long before this jungle is restored once again.

Xu Xin looked around again.

Other than the weird grass that has grown in such harsh environments, there was nothing else useful within the entire giant ship.

”Huihui, over there.”

Xu Xin pointed to a patch of grass about two hundred meters away.

That patch of grass was bathed in sunlight exposed by a breach from above, so it was growing well.

Moreover, under the sunlight, its colorful appearance seemed very beautiful.

Also, with his identification ability, this grass unexpectedly emitted a purple-grade light.

”Ah—”

Huihui quickly flew over.

Xu Xin dismounted, squatted down, and gently moved the grass.

[Radiation Grass (Purple): A resilient grass growing in intense radiation. It is non-radioactive itself, highly toxic, and inedible, but it has the effect of absorbing and reducing surrounding radiation. Once uprooted, its radiation-absorbing ability will persist for 2 hours.]

Whoa!

Grass that can reduce surrounding radiation?
