Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1467 - 719: Sweep Forward_4

But the good times didn’t last long.

About ten minutes later, the first blood mist appeared.

Indeed, one of the beasts suddenly exploded and turned into a cloud of blood mist!

Then, one bad news after another followed.

Those war cars seemed to be using their weapons again!

Ji Chaoyang immediately realized that the past ten minutes, they hadn’t used their weapons not because of running out of ammunition, but possibly because...

Their weapons were overheated and temporarily unusable, they were cooling down!

And now, they could be used!

Ordinary beasts could no longer stop the advance of war cars!

Each of these beasts was highly intelligent and seeing the situation, they no longer tried to block those war cars.

It wasn’t that they feared death if their death could stop these war cars, they would bravely face death.

But now their death had no meaning.

So, the army of beasts retreated.

And it was Mimi, the leader of the beast army, who gave the order.

Everyone inside the world tree also breathed a sigh of relief.

They actually did not want those beasts to die so meaninglessly.

The beasts knew how to run, just right.

...

”What’s going to happen next is just as you imagined.”

Ji Chaoyang said.

”The war cars moved to the trunk of the world tree, then a spike extended from the front of the car and pierced directly into the trunk of the world tree.”

”Then the whole world tree started to shake.”

”We saw the canopy of the world tree change from green to withered yellow, and even a rain of fallen leaves began. The ground started to crack gradually.”

”After that, the few of us used coordinates to teleport here. That was already an hour ago.”

Ji Chaoyang sat on the rocks by the beach, finishing his story in a relaxed tone.

It turned out to be like this.

Xu Xin and the others felt a bit scared.

Luckily, there was a backup plan.

Didn’t expect that even if the giant ship was destroyed, the war cars that crawled out could destroy the world tree...

”I think those war cars were actually prepared by the extraterrestrial invaders’ leader, a secret weapon specifically targeting the world tree.”

Xu Ying suddenly spoke.

Xu Xin also nodded: ”I think so too, with very strong defense capability, but the attacking method is somewhat lacking, yet they can specially extend a spike from the front of the car to pierce into the trunk, causing the world tree to wither.”

”That’s what I also thought,” Ji Chaoyang said, ”Extraterrestrial invaders almost all possess a world tree, their leader, to truly control and threaten them, must have a means to destroy the world tree.”

”The initial aircrafts should have also been one means, and the quickest, just too weak and completely intercepted by us.”

”Whereas these war cars, although slow, ensured success, should have been the last resort.”

”Because they are basically unused, they were hidden in the giant ship, but this time the giant ship was destroyed, and we just bumped into them.”

Everyone nodded.

It should be like this.

”Then our world tree was destroyed not in vain,” Li Wenxi said, pursing her lips, ”That was the last means of the extraterrestrial invaders. I wonder what things are like now, if those war cars are still guarding around the world tree?”

”That depends on how well you’ve completed your mission over there.”

Ji Chaoyang smiled at Xu Xin.

Xu Xin also looked at him and smiled: ”You haven’t told us what you saw in your prophecy that makes you so relaxed now.”

”Ah, my prophecy.”

Seeing everyone curiously looking at him, Ji Chaoyang smiled: ”I saw that inside our world tree, an even more glorious city than before has been established.”

”In my prophecy, we have already started a new life.”

He looked at Xu Xin and the others and smiled easily: ”Now, can you tell us what you’ve actually done over there?”
