Two days later, inside the hollow at the base of the elf king tree...

”Come on, hold that pose.”

Tethys spoke, while Serea was forced to pose as requested.

”Why do I have to pose like this just to try on clothes?!”

Wearing the latest mermaid swimsuit made by Tethys, Serea blushed and protested coquettishly.

”Because you look beautiful!”

Nora gave a thumbs-up.

As for why this scene happened, we have to go back two days.

Having confirmed that she would obtain Faith Crystals through ’singing,’ Serea had come here to ask Tethys for advice in practicing ’Rhythm of Sound.’ But when she suddenly wanted to learn diva skills, tethys was confused and questioned her persistently. Eventually, Serea had to explain that she was planning to open an opera house and perform in disguise.

Unexpectedly, when she finished explaining, little stars immediately appeared in the eyes of both Tethys and Nora.

The most enthusiastic was Tethys. Upon learning of Serea’s bold idea, she volunteered to help her practice Rhythm of Sound, and even took full charge of her stage costumes. That was how Serea ended up here, trying on clothes.

”OK!”

Making an ’OK’ gesture, Serea relaxed. Clad in the swimsuit, she hugged her fishtail and immersed herself in the spring water. Wearing such an embarrassing outfit and posing so awkwardly, Serea felt her dignity slipping away entirely...

Thinking ahead to taking the stage as ’Candice,’ she was so mortified that she dunked her head underwater.

”This will only happen this once. It’s all for strength, yes!”

Comforting herself, Serea lifted her head—just in time to see Tethys approach with a mischievous grin.

”Serea, have you rested enough?”

”......”

”If you’re ready, let’s check the results of your recent practice.”

Saying this, tethys pushed Serea onto the stone platform. Taking human form, Serea stood still, wearing her swimsuit, while Tethys, nora, and Little Mo acted as the audience below.

”Come on, sing. My evaluation is very strict!”

”Do I have to sing dressed like this...”

Serea hesitated. Tethys replied,

”Dressing like this is just a bonus for me your tutor. I’ll design a brand new outfit for you when it’s time to perform.”

”I—if that’s the case...”

Taking a deep breath to calm herself, Serea prepared, then put on the mask transformed by Pelam. She became the mermaid girl ’Candice.’

”Ah~”

There were no lyrics—she simply hummed a melody.

After listening to a short segment, tethys clapped. ”To master Rhythm of Sound to this level after only two days of practice... Serea, you truly are a genius!”

”N-no, it’s because you teach so well.”

Serea’s cheeks flushed. Over the past two days, with Lola and the others busy, she had come alone to ask Tethys for guidance on the Rhythm of Sound. Now its effect was at least fifty percent better than before, thanks both to Tethys’s teaching and Serea’s own efforts.

”Mm... Since you’ve reached this level, let’s move on to the next step.”

”The next step?”

”Yes, listen carefully, Serea.”

Tethys prepared herself, then began singing. A melodious voice rang out.

”Ah~”

The tune was completely different from Serea’s. When Rhythm of Sound activated, little Mo’s body quickly swelled—it was evolving into an Abyssal Octabrute!

”What is this?!”

Startled, Serea watched. Tethys stopped singing, and Little Mo reverted to its cute mini octopus form.

”Depending on the song, each mermaid’s Rhythm of Sound has different effects. My Rhythm of Sound can make Little Mo evolve, and with a different tune, I can even control water. Serea, do you have any unique songs?”

”Songs...”

Serea thought about it. It seemed she only had a lullaby that could make people sleep, but such a song probably wouldn’t earn her any Faith Crystals.

”Each diva’s voice allows different songs to produce different effects. If you want to become a real diva, compose the ’song’ most suited to yourself first!”

”Compose the song that suits me most...”

Serea quietly repeated, then sent a mental message.

”Dogsius, help me write a song.”

”As you command, my master.”

Dogsius agreed.

Still, although Dogsius could compose on his own, Serea wanted to infuse some of her own ideas. So—

She decided to use that method!

”I understand. I’ll write my own song and become a true diva!”

With her first step clear, Serea knew she’d be busy that night.

At the very moment she finished speaking, someone walked in from outside the hollow.

Seeing Celia suddenly appear, Serea froze for a few seconds. Celia’s eyes also lingered on her for a moment.

”Judging by the voice, I thought Serea was here. Since you’re not, sorry for disturbing.”

With that, Celia walked out, and once she left, Serea used the water to pull up a curtain and quickly changed into her Rhythmic Black Merfolk outfit.

”Not going to keep practicing?”

”That’s enough for today. Tomorrow, I’ll bring my own song.”

”I look forward to it! I’ll take this time to prepare your performance costume—I’ll make you the world’s most beautiful princess.”

Bidding farewell to Tethys, Serea slipped out of the hollow and, upon spotting Celia, pretended to bump into her by chance.

”Serea.”

”It’s me. Did you need something, Celia?”

”Yes, Lola asked me to report on the camp situation. The dwarves have started smelting the first batch of ore, so there should be a supply of materials soon. Also, the Necromancy Tower is being built with the help of dwarven craftsmen, but it’ll take some time. Finally, about your opera house—it’s being renovated from an existing wooden house, so it should be finished in about a day.”

”Thank you all for your hard work.”

They chatted, then Celia seemed to notice something strange.

”By the way, why did you suddenly want to build an opera house in the jungle?”

”I... didn’t I say? Everyone’s been bored—life needs excitement!”

”Is that so?”

”Mm-hmm.”

Serea nodded. Celia still seemed a bit suspicious, but didn’t press further.

At that moment, Vina could be seen in the distance, apparently searching for something. Spotting Serea, she walked straight over.

”Reporting to the Queen, the naga tribe you asked us to wait for has arrived. They’re waiting outside the camp.”

”They arrived so quickly? Vina, go inform those naga for me; I’ll head over now.”

With that, Serea walked toward the main gate of the camp.
