”Ah!”

Facing the imminent attack, kulruan released all of his magic.

”Roar!”

Disaster Breath struck the water shield, causing it to gradually shrink.

”Hold on!!!”

Squeezing out his very life force, kulruan forcibly maintained the water shield.

”Clan Chief!” xN

Watching their Clan Chief collapse to his knees, the naga cried out in anguish. This scene was also witnessed by another particularly special individual.

Buzz!

Suddenly, the dimmed glow of the Cold Iron Trident flared back to life. Kulruan turned his head to see Teusha gripping the Cold Iron Trident with both hands.

”Te... Teusha...”

He called out weakly.

”Let me handle this.”

As he spoke, teusha poured all his magic into the Cold Iron Trident, and as the current hero of the Whirlpool Tide Clan, the Cold Iron Trident accepted his magic.

The water shield once again expanded, protecting everyone. But, unfortunately...

”How much longer can you last?”

The magic output from Disaster Breath intensified, and at the same time, the remaining skeletal dragon led the demon wyverns in attacking the shield relentlessly, causing the recently expanded shield to begin scattering again.

”For my lord, I must persevere!”

Teusha held firm to his belief, but if this continued, he would only become another Kulruan. Passive defense would eventually lead to certain death, so...

Seeing that Morzada still showed no signs of awakening, Serea glanced at an icon in her skill panel—the icon marked with a dragon’s head.

Summon: Warbeast Bone Dragon!

This was a special skill under ”Death Decay,” containing immense power. Serea had tried to activate it before, but failed.

Now...

”This is the last resort. System, what will happen if I forcibly activate this skill?”

System: It may cause death energy to surge out of control, leading to serious consequences, even death.

”So, that means I might not die, but if I succeed, what are the odds of victory?”

System: Seventy percent.

”Then there’s no need for more discussion.”

On the frontlines, Clark had been severely wounded and destroyed, his core Blood Stone returning to the spell circle.

Serea shook off Lola’s supporting arms. Her consciousness was still somewhat muddled.

”Queen, we’ll cover your escape.”

”Leave? It’s not the last moment yet.”

As she spoke, numerous Death Crystals floated behind her, then transformed into pure death energy, gathering in Serea’s palm.

Summon: Warbeast Bone Dragon!

Boom!

Her heart thudded fiercely then suddenly stopped. The sensation was like an invisible giant hand squeezing her heart—an overwhelming feeling of death. Serea instinctively wanted to halt the skill activation.

But...

This was her final trump card.

”I have no choice!”

Just as its name suggests, ”Blood Frenzy” causes one’s body to gradually transform into a vampire. Similarly, after activating ”Death Decay,” the user’s body would slowly begin to turn into that of the dead.

Now, Serea only felt her body slowly growing cold.

”Queen!”

Lola cast Healing Rain to mend her wounds. In a haze, Serea’s vision was filled again by scenes from her dreams.

A giant dragon soared towards her; three girls rode its back, their faces indistinct. Then, the image froze and began to flip through, slide by slide, like a slideshow.

With every flash, the scenes drew closer. The girls on the dragon’s back silently mouthed four words over and over, but Serea could never make out what they were.

Hesitation, darkness, Fear...

As Serea plummeted into the abyss, her heart was swept up by all kinds of negative emotions.

The dragon was closer—right above her, diving alongside her into the abyss. The girl’s face drew nearer, and at last, there was a sound.

”Blood...”

”Blood?”

Serea echoed blankly, and then her vision cleared. She saw a girl identical to herself.

Startled, Serea’s eyes widened. The next moment, that girl pressed her cheek against Serea’s, and the four words she had been silently mouthing finally reached Serea’s ears.

”Blood! Crimson! Storm! Gale!”

Rumble!

It was as if a bolt of muffled thunder exploded in her mind.

Infinite darkness. The dragon vanished, the girl disappeared, and Serea, immersed in darkness, saw a pair of black beastly eyes.

A giant dragon!

Suddenly, a dark magic circle unfurled beneath Serea’s feet, and Lola and the others who tried to approach were all blasted away.

”Queen!”

Darkness covered the sky, shrouding all light. The sudden blindness threw everyone into panic, even Alysta and Adolf.

”What’s happening? What’s going on?”

”This power... Is Laviel resurrected?!”

Adolf muttered, while the unexpected darkness gave Pelam a chance—lacking magic, she immediately hid herself within the darkness.

And in that endless darkness, the only illumination was the floating Silver Shuttle Token.

”Unleash! The power of the dragon!”

As the darkness receded, a young girl floated above the water shield.

”Huh?”

Alysta noted the unfamiliar girl standing atop the water shield. But on a closer look...

Long, straight black hair down to her waist, pitch-black eyes, orange-red eye shadow, and holding a silver fan while standing atop the shield.

It was Serea herself!

And looking closely at the silver fan in her hand...

Its form was quite similar to the Silver Shuttle Token—in fact, the silver fan was the Silver Shuttle Token!

”You...”

Before the words left her lips, Serea pressed down with the silver fan, and countless black orbs materialized in the sky, too many to count.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The black spheres fell along cunning paths. Each explosion radiated shadow devouring several meters wide. Amid this dense bombardment, demonfolk and demon wyverns suffered heavy casualties.

”Draconic magic—’Shadow Constellation!’”

When she spoke these words, alysta’s face showed uncontainable shock. The black orbs also struck the blood demons, unleashing countless ”Shadow Devour” explosions. The blood demon howled and stopped releasing Disaster Breath.

”Is... is that the Queen?”

Seeing the strange, classic-looking girl, Lola and the others were hesitant to believe it. Meanwhile, teusha’s magic was exhausted, and the water shield vanished.

”Hmm?”

Noticing the demonfolk on the ground attempting to attack the naga and others, Serea swept her silver fan.

Buzz!

A dark magic circle materialized—it was the ”Dark Barrier.”

The demonfolk tried to approach, but as soon as they entered, they were swallowed by darkness and disappeared without a trace.

”!!!”

Adolf was utterly stunned, as was Alysta.

But at this moment, Serea’s eyes showed confusion and helplessness, and the reason for all of this was...

System: ’Summon: Warbeast Bone Dragon’ skill activation failed.

System: Unknown bloodline power detected. Conditions met. Fusing and unlocking...

System: Shadow Dragon Emperor (Dark Main Altar) bloodline awakening—skill ’???’ acquired. Due to bloodline instability, voluntary activation of transformation is currently unavailable, and unknown side effects may occur.

(To be continued...)
