Blood silk shot out and coiled forward, but when it touched Alysta’s body, it stopped.

”Why don’t you keep attacking?”

Her eyes were full of mockery, and Serea, whose sneak attack had failed, suddenly felt that the Blood Spring near Alysta was no longer under her control.

”It seems that you’re unable to harm me.”

As Alysta spoke, the Blood Spring turned into a blood arrow and shot back along its original path. Serea tried to control it, but Alysta’s strength was overwhelming—she could only slow the attack or slightly affect its trajectory.

Clang!

Celia, guarding in front of her, raised her sword and knocked aside the slowed blood arrow, but the force behind it was so great that she stumbled back several steps.

”Such powerful strength...”

Celia’s face became grim, and she hurriedly activated Divine Grace.

Yet, seeing that Serea could actually influence her Blood Spring attack, alysta looked surprised as well.

”You can even affect the Blood Spring under my direct vampire control. Just who are you?”

Catching the key words, Serea instantly fixated on the statement.

”She’s a vampire?”

System: Not exactly, but rather a creation of the vampire clan—an ”Eastern Faction Vampire.”

”Vampire? Eastern Faction? Are there Western Faction vampires as well?”

System: Yes. As the perfect creation of the vampires, or rather, self-replicas of the vampire clan, vampires possess immense strength. However, as they could not be completely controlled, the Eastern Faction vampires rebelled against their creators, trying to replace the vampire clan. After war broke out, the vampires, already few in number, were nearly wiped out.

”What happened afterward?”

System: The vampires later created the Western Faction vampires and blood elves as a second generation of artificial beings. The blood elves served the last surviving vampires, while the Western Faction vampires hunted down their Eastern kin for revenge. The feud between the two factions never truly ended, even after the vampires completely disappeared.

”Is Camilla from the Eastern or Western Faction?”

System: Her allegiance to you determines her affiliation.

”To try and overthrow their creators... Such traitors dare to call themselves ’vampires’!”

The hatred buried in her bones flared up within Serea, just as Lola and the others came rushing over to support her.

”Protect the Queen!”

Undead Reaper Guardsman incarnations blocked the converging demons, while the naga tribespeople provided strong long-range support, restricting the demon wyverns and granting Serea’s group an opportunity.

But Alysta was completely unimpressed.

”Finish them!”

The bone dragon unleashed its breath again and again, wiping out swathes of the Undead, and even threatening Serea’s group.

Blood Tide!

Blood-red runes spread across the earth. On seeing this, Serea hurriedly used Blood Manipulation to interfere with the enemy’s skill, while Celia and the others pressed close to Serea, simultaneously slaughtering any demons or demon wyverns that slipped through, never forgetting to assist Serea as well.

Resurrect!

Triple Shot!

Vines restrained Alysta, but she broke free almost effortlessly. The arrows shot forth, yet a single blood shield was enough to block them all.

They couldn’t injure Alysta. At the same time, with Serea there, it was hard for Alysta’s Blood Spring to hurt anyone else either.

But as for abilities outside of Blood Spring...

Telekinesis!

Alysta’s gaze locked onto Vina, who was just about to draw her bow. In that instant, Vina felt an invisible giant hand pinning her in place, squeezing her tighter and tighter.

”Uuugh!”

”Vina!”

Facing Alysta, Camilla tried to use her own telekinesis to interfere, but...

”Such pitiful power.”

The pressure suddenly doubled. Vina and Camilla were thrown aside, while the two Bone Yan nearby tried to attack but were suddenly blasted by an erupting Blood Spring from underground, reduced on the spot to mere bones.

”Hmph, try this next!”

Responding to Alysta’s command, the Blood Demon ignored the entanglements of the Gargoyle and water elements, whirling around to target the wounded Camilla and Vina.

”Awooo!”

Disaster Breath condensed, and seeing most of the monsters distracted, Celia recognized her chance.

She raised the Holy Sword, her chanting already complete. Then...

Holy Sword Judgment!

A gigantic golden blade of light appeared.

”Judgment Cross Holy Sword!!!”

Sensing the familiar aura, alysta’s expression flashed with shock and a trace of fear.

”Awooo!”

”Haah!”

Disaster Breath and the magic wave of the holy blade clashed. To everyone’s astonishment, the light of Judgment Cross Holy Sword blasted straight through the Disaster Breath.

Boom!

The radiance crashed against the Disaster Blood Demon, forcing its massive body back several steps. The earth shook violently, and the light streaked through the sky, purifying every evil creature it touched.

And ultimately, the falling point of the light was...

A black pillar of light!

Realizing their intent, alysta’s face turned deathly pale.

”Stop her!”

The bone dragon shot into the air, guarding the black light pillar, while Alysta herself unleashed both telekinesis and Blood Tide, striking at Celia.

”Bone Bulwark!”

She instantly cut over to ”Death Decay” form, while Leklis, Lola, and others raised Bone Walls and Vine Walls for cover. The Blood Spring blasted through these defenses one by one until, finally, the last attack reached Serea herself, who blocked it with Witherbone—but...

Warm blood trickled down from her forehead, a pain she hadn’t felt in a long time.

”Queen Serea!”

Lola charged over, riding Bone Yan, while Serea felt a wave of dizziness wash over her mind.

Seeing Serea wounded while shielding her, Celia clenched her teeth.

”Hyaaaah!”

The glow of Holy Sword Judgment intensified, and a blade of light shot skyward, slamming toward the black light pillar.

”Raaawr!”

The bone dragon breathed, struggling to stop it, but the light only paused for a moment before the blade pierced through the bone dragon and the black light pillar in one swoop.

Soul fire dimmed, the bone dragon plummeted from the sky, and a circular hole opened in the black light pillar.

Of course, Celia paid a price for launching such a powerful blow with a divine artifact.

Thud!

Exhausted, Celia fell to one knee, trying to stand again, but she hadn’t the slightest strength left.

”Here’s our chance. Now—hurry!”

As she stared at the opening in the black pillar of light, a shadow that had hidden for a long time suddenly darted forward—

It was Little Black!

Chilia, eighty, Little White, little Red, black Knight, and Talius provided cover from the flanks; ordinary demons didn’t stand a chance of holding them back.

Then, noticing the bone necklace in Little Black’s hand...

”You’re not getting through!”

Blood Spring blasted forth. Little Black tried to evade, but it relentlessly pursued him.

Piercing Magic Arrows!

Fireburst!

Little White and Little Red worked together to slow the Blood Spring, but it still hit Little Black, shattering his bony claw. The necklace fell with that broken bone.

In a critical moment, black Knight leaped forward, hooked the broken claw up with his scythe, snatched the necklace, and dashed toward the black light pillar.

Seeing this, Adolf could no longer sit still.

”Go, stop them.”

The command was relayed to Maregof, and as a faint purple light flashed through his eyes, maregof charged out of the black light pillar.

”You’ll go no further!”

He summoned earth elementals to block their path.

Black Knight was hindered by the demons and earth elementals. Yet, seeing he was about to reach the base of the black light pillar, he swung his arm and tossed the bone necklace up. Little Boo soared by, snatching it mid-air and flying straight toward the opening.

However...

Spatial Compression!

Little Boo froze in midair, pinned motionless by the telekinetic lock.

”Kyii!”

With a scream, little Boo released his grip, and the necklace fell—but this time, it landed in Adolf’s hand.

Catching the necklace with a tentacle, a victorious smile spread across Adolf’s face.

”Heh, trying to beat me—you’re still far too inexperienced.”

As he spoke, a second body slowly descended from the sky. The man wore a gentleman’s suit and had a handsome face—but seeing Adolf’s own purplish visage, it was clear this wasn’t his body.

”Damn, it’s Morzada’s body. My own still hasn’t arrived.”

Adolf was irritated, but glancing at the necklace in his hand...

”Heh, whatever. Now that Morzada’s token is in my possession, what can they do to awaken that idiot?”

But just as Adolf sneered at the crowd outside the pillar of light, the necklace dissolved, the pale-blue liquid within swelling rapidly.

”Huh?”

In an instant, an identical Adolf appeared—it was Pelam!

”Fear Spread!”

Pelam raised a hand and cast her signature Fear Spread at Adolf, catching him off guard and temporarily restraining him.

”You still think you can control me—too naive!”

Facing this mirror image, Adolf broke free and launched a wave of fel energy, but Pelam now possessed ninety-five percent of Adolf’s abilities. There was no way she’d lose easily.

However...

Because her transformation into such a powerful being consumed so much mana, she could only maintain it for a few minutes at best. The time she could stall Adolf was limited.

But if this wasn’t the real necklace, where was the actual one?

”Hurry up!”

In the sky, Camilla rode Chips straight at the vanishing opening.

”Awooo!”

Chips accelerated, outpacing the pursuing demon wyverns and dodging the bone dragon’s attempts to intercept, drawing ever closer to the breach.

”Damn it!”

Cursing, alysta hurled telekinetic force at Chips.

Had she been at full strength, Camilla and Chips would have already died, and the ”insects” on the ground squashed without a thought. But now, having just regained her body, she was only level 45 and extremely weak—even crushing a single ”insect” took her enormous effort.

Still, it was just a matter of effort—killing them was certainly still possible.

Sensing danger, Camilla looked back at Alysta.

Telekinesis!

Camilla used her own power, and for a brief instant, the two waves of telekinetic force clashed and stalled each other. But it lasted less than a second before Alysta’s telekinesis struck Chips directly.

”Awooo!”

A bone wing was crushed instantly, but in that single-second reprieve and with his last ounce of strength, chips plunged through the opening.

His four claws gripped the black light pillar as the radiance began to consume his body.

Camilla, unwilling to let such a chance slip away, leaped forward, diving into the breach just as it disappeared, and Chips plummeted to the earth.

In a crucial instant, Clark arrived in time to catch Chips and drag him back inside the water shield.

At the same time, Vina, Serea, Celia, and the others, all gravely wounded, also made it into the water shield, relying on Kulruan to keep it standing. The naga were struggling desperately to hold on.

But...

The dragonhawks were nearly wiped out, only two gargoyles remained counting Clark, all water elementals had perished to block the Blood Demon, the Reaper Guardsmen were now but a handful, and out of the seven high-level Undead, only Little Black and the Black Knight remained in fighting condition—Little Black was missing an arm and probably wouldn’t last long.

In contrast, the enemy’s demons and demon wyverns continued pouring in, the third demon lord’s body was slowly descending from the sky. Although this was the ”Laviel, shadow Queen” body and not Adolf’s true form, Adolf’s original form would surely arrive. When it did, two demon lords together would decide the outcome.

”It still isn’t my body?!”

Locked in struggle with Pelam, Adolf was infinitely frustrated. Yet, nothing could be done—he could only wait.

With the Laviel body, there appeared a black gemstone. No sooner had it appeared than Alysta wielded the Blood Spring to seize it, then turned her gaze to Camilla inside the black light pillar.

Camilla, clutching a necklace and using telekinesis, floated before a pale blue sphere—a barrier, impassable by any force. At its center lay Beverly’s body.

She tried to use telekinesis to pass the necklace through, but was stopped by the barrier. Reaching out to touch it—

”Aaah!”

The feeling of her soul being torn apart surged through her, and Camilla screamed.

”Hehehe, give up. Any soul entering the ’Soulslaying Barrier’ will be ripped to shreds. There’s no way you can...”

Before Alysta’s Blood Spring could strike Camilla down, the young woman—enduring the agony of her soul being torn apart—forced herself into the Soulslaying Barrier.

”Uugh!”

Suppressing the pain, Camilla floated slowly toward the unconscious Beverly.

”Is that girl not afraid of death?!”

Alysta looked on in shock.

Camilla had entered the Soulslaying Barrier, and Alysta could not stop her. Still, she was not overly worried, since...

At that moment, morzada’s soul was nearly spent—never mind whether that ruined soul could be awakened. Even if it was awakened, what use would it be? No one could stop her from reclaiming the body. No one here could stop her—certainly not now!

”Poor little girl.”

Alysta shook her head as Camilla hugged Beverly tightly and fastened the necklace around her neck.

”Beverly... you must... wake up...”

Her mind faded into chaos, and Camilla slowly closed her eyes.

Yet, several seconds passed and Beverly showed no sign of resurrecting.

Seeing this, everyone’s minds echoed with the same thought.

”Do your best, then leave the rest to fate!”

And looking back at the water shield...

Chief Kulruan was already on his knees, nearly spent; the shield was a fraction of its original size. It would not last much longer before shattering completely.

A sense of despair shrouded everyone as Alysta stood atop the Disaster Blood Demon, looking down on them. Now, there was no one left who could stand in her way.

”It is over. Death is your end!”

With those words, disaster Breath gathered in the demon’s mouth.
