Berserk God of War

Chapter 812: Chapter 812: Judgment, Visitors from West Land

With a full-body tremor, Hua Meixi slowly exhaled, gritting her teeth and said, ”It’s a pity, such people aren’t suited for survival.”

After speaking, she left without saying more.

The members of the Nu Hua Team exchanged glances again, wanting to say, Captain, aren’t you such a person too?

If not, why would we be following you?

Moreover, before meeting Sikong Jing, you clearly promised that if he was a person who valued emotions and righteousness, you’d protect him. Yet you seem to have gone back on your word, even losing your reason because he’s too emotional and righteous.

Thinking of this, all the Nu Hua members silently said: Captain Hua’s intentions are truly unfathomable.

...

In the blink of an eye, the time came to the day before the departure quota battle.

Early that morning, Overlord Commerce issued a summon order, gathering all top fifty Martial Arts geniuses at Batian Ancient Tower, and once again Sikong Jing became the center of attention upon entering the tower.

At the same time, he was isolated once again.

However, soon after, a second focus stepped in, none other than the Thousand Tyrant List’s number one, Chou Zhan!

Chou Zhan strode over to Sikong Jing, and the two stood shoulder to shoulder without speaking.

This scene caused the pupils of all the geniuses present to contract sharply. Nevertheless, Guo Zixia suddenly stepped forward, coldly said, ”Chou Zhan, you better stay away from him; he’s going to die soon.”

Everyone already knew about Sikong Jing killing a Deacon.

According to Deacon Huang’s previous statement, judgment would soon arrive!

Upon hearing this, Chou Zhan slowly raised his head and stiffly replied, ”Guo Zixia, you are going to die soon too.”

After speaking, he ignored him and did not leave Sikong Jing’s side either.

Looking at Guo Zixia’s stiff face, a chill rose throughout his body. He thought: Could Chou Zhan have discovered the Moon Swallowing Beast was sent by Heavenly Dao Academy? Impossible, he simply didn’t have the time to discover it.

These past two days, Chou Zhan had remained in Zhanwu City, going nowhere.

Meanwhile, Gongyang Ying stared at Sikong Jing, wondering what he would use to address Overlord Commerce’s judgment?

Killing a Deacon is no small matter.

But he must have some assurance to face it, otherwise, he wouldn’t appear here but should be escaping far away... Could the human-shaped monster be around Overlord Commerce?

It seems that’s the only explanation.

Up until now, Gongyang Ying couldn’t determine what realm the human-shaped monster was, just that it was terrifying to the extreme.

Moreover, the Imperial Advisor Mansion later investigated that the human-shaped monster had once appeared in Long Night Imperial City. When it roared, all the demon beasts in the city went into an uproar!

Gongyang Ying felt both anticipation and nervousness...

Thump, thump, thump...

As everyone had their own thoughts, heavy footsteps sounded.

Led by Elder Mo, the people from East Plain Northern Land’s Overlord Commerce arrived step by step, heading to the top of the hall.

That’s five decision makers, seven Deacons.

Originally, there were nine Deacons, but Ren Dongmeng was dead, and Hua Lidian was detained.

After settling down, Elder Mo casually glanced around the room, pausing on Sikong Jing before saying, ”Today, there are two things to handle for gathering you geniuses here. First, you are to fight for the remaining eight places.”

Everyone understood; it meant the 11th to 30th place would battle, fighting for the final eight spots.

”And now, let’s handle the second matter first...”

As Elder Mo spoke, everyone’s gaze fell collectively on Sikong Jing, the second matter was undoubtedly judging Sikong Jing.

”Ren Dongmeng, the Steward in charge of War Soul Dynasty, is dead, killed at Long Night Saint Dragon Palace.”

”The killer is Sikong Jing.”

”But there’s also evidence pointing to Hua Lidian, the Deacon, and Hua Lidian and Sikong Jing argued that Ren Dongmeng violated Overlord Commerce’s rules first, thus they should be innocent...”

”Also, Sikong Jing is one of the top ten geniuses on the Thousand Tyrant List...”

”Therefore, to ensure fairness and justice for Overlord Commerce, this judgment will be public in front of you all.”

Elder Mo’s aged voice spread throughout the hall.

One by one, bright eyes stared at Sikong Jing; the public judgment was just for show, the key was to kill a chicken to scare the monkeys, right?

In fact, the judgment at this time was suggested by Ju Dan. Previously, news was blocked, and Hua Lidian was detained to prevent Sikong Jing from running away after getting the news.

Only by drawing Sikong Jing to Zhanwu City with the quota battle could they ensure he wouldn’t escape.

Of course, Ju Dan didn’t expect the decision makers from East Plain Northern Land to be displeased with her, nor did she expect Elder Mo and others dared to oppose her, which means if Sikong Jing wanted to run, he’d have done so when Hua Lidian had Lang Yisuo notify him.

Regardless, Sikong Jing arrived, the judgment would proceed as per Ju Dan’s plan.

At this time, Elder Mo continued, ”The death of a Deacon is a significant matter, so this judgment includes jury members, please welcome Captain Hua.”

As he finished speaking, Hua Meixi stepped in heavily.

This time, she was only followed by two members of the Nu Hua Team.

Expressionless, she walked to the left of Elder Mo and others, where prepared chairs awaited, and she directly took a seat.

And the crowd’s gaze followed her steps, Guo Zixia and Fu Jiaoxing, among other men, subconsciously swallowed.

Hua Meixi, always had soul-hooking allure about her!

”Next, please... the two decision makers from East Plain West Land, Elder Feng and Elder Le!”

After Hua Meixi settled, Elder Mo spoke again, and then two elderly figures, one male and one female, stepped in at the doorway, carrying great might, with faces full of cold smiles and arrogance.

Looking at Sikong Jing was like looking at a dead man.

When looking at Elder Mo and others, they held their heads high, not just because East Plain West Land is stronger than Northern Land, but also considering their top decision maker Ju Dan, having accomplished significant merits, they could disdain all Eastern Northern Land people.

At this moment, Sikong Jing stood expressionlessly.

Upon arriving, he received notice from Lang Zhengzhi that Ju Dan wouldn’t be present at today’s judgment, but after judgment ends, he would be taken to East Plain West Land for Ju Dan to handle personally.

As for why Ju Dan didn’t come, according to Lang Zhengzhi’s speculation, it was probably worrying about Hua Meixi not being pleased and directly causing a scene.

Also fearing, Hua Meixi might make a desperate last stand.

After Elder Feng and Elder Le sat down, Elder Mo spoke again, ”Bring Hua Lidian up.”

Soon, Hua Lidian was escorted by Overlord Commerce masters, shackled.

As Hua Lidian arrived, he cast a glance at his daughter Hua Meixi before turning to Sikong Jing, displaying an apologetic and complex expression. Sikong Jing returned a reassuring smile.

Seeing this, Hua Lidian’s heart skipped slightly, still puzzled over what Sikong Jing was up to?

The atmosphere finally solidified at this moment, everyone knowing the judgment was about to commence.

Then Elder Mo looked at Sikong Jing, deeply asking, ”Sikong Jing, do you have anything to say about killing Ren Dongmeng?”

To Elder Mo’s question, Elder Feng and Elder Le from East Plain West Land furrowed their brows, thinking there’s no point in asking, right?

However, upon reconsidering, they held back, as this judgment was intended merely as a formality, with plans to apprehend directly, but circumstances changed because Hua Lidian’s daughter turned out to be a captain of one of the Domineering Teams.

Now, they could only watch Elder Mo follow procedure.
