Berserk God of War

Chapter 811: Chapter 811: My Mind Is Made Up

After successfully contacting the Sky Bull Mercenaries, Sikong Jing returned to the Immortal Treasures Building.

Lang Zhengzhi approached and asked puzzledly, ”Sikong Xiao You, how come you returned so quickly? Shouldn’t you be discussing the battle plan with Niu Gong? Perhaps try commanding their mercenary group?”

Even if Sikong Jing was skilled as a commander, shouldn’t he familiarize himself with the Sky Bull Mercenaries first?

That means, he should practice with the soldiers first.

”No need to practice. I have already looked over the types of soldiers in the mercenary group.” Sikong Jing replied with a smile.

To him, controlling soldiers of the Innate Realm level only required familiarity with the types of soldiers and the True Qi attributes of the soldiers. Other matters were irrelevant; he would directly use a Soldier Killing Array to control them when the time came.

Lang Zhengzhi opened his mouth, completely unable to understand Sikong Jing.

From what he knew of Sikong Jing, he shouldn’t be someone who liked to brag. Where did he get his confidence?

...

That day, the five Decision Makers met with Hua Meixi again, who coldly asked, ”What plans does Sikong Jing have on that side?”

After hearing Lang Zhengzhi’s explanation, she couldn’t help but derisively laugh, ”How ridiculous, does he think a million Innate Realm mercenaries can resist the full power of the East Plain Northern Land’s Overlord Commerce? Is this his so-called assuredness?”

”I understand now, you all think he’s the Invincible God General of the East Plain Northern Land, so you believe he can resist a strong enemy using soldiers?”

”Against the Reverse Soul Realm, perhaps he can resist, but against the Martial Battle Realm, do you really think it’s possible?”

These words rendered the five Decision Makers silent.

They themselves were all of the Martial Battle Realm, fully aware of the differences between the Martial Battle Realm and the Reverse Soul Realm. Obstructing with sheer numbers and soldiers is almost impossible.

Unless the soldiers are strong enough, but Sikong Jing only has a mere one million Innate Realm soldiers.

Even a million Xuantian Realm would not be enough; it would need a million Daoist Martial Realm to have the slightest chance.

Yet, where would one find a million Daoist Martial Realm in the East Plain Northern Land?

”I’m going to see Hua Lidian. For now, execute the plan to strongly protect him, as for Sikong Jing, let him make his own mess.”

Hua Meixi called her father’s name directly, and then stopped speaking further, turning around and heading to the jail.

The remaining five Decision Makers all stood in silence...

After a long while, the Old Woman Elder Ge slowly sighed.

”Perhaps we’ve overestimated Sikong Jing.”

”But it’s also human nature, being born in the East Plain Northern Land doesn’t make it possible to understand the terror of the Martial Battle Realm.”

Everyone nodded, considering that in the East Plain Northern Land, aside from their Overlord Commerce, only the Beichou Sword Sect had a stronghold of the Martial Battle Realm. Sikong Jing had no chance for exposure, so how would he understand?

Lang Zhengzhi himself could provide such understanding, but given Sikong Jing’s realm, he’s still incapable of comprehending the power of the Martial Battle Realm.

Even if Lang Zhengzhi demonstrated, Sikong Jing would likely think his mercenary group could prevail.

At this point, Elder Ge continued, ”Earlier, I left a setup at Tian Budian’s place, letting him believe I’ve also cozied up to Ju Dan, that I saved him so that no matter what happens, we can at least protect ourselves.”

Elder Ge previously saved Tian Budian’s life because of the presence of the Iron Bone Flying Vulture.

This was deliberately left as a setup so that if things couldn’t work, they could only seek protection from Ju Dan.

At least they couldn’t allow Ju Dan to find faults and bring big troubles.

”Damn it, it really sucks.” A Decision Maker burst out angrily.

The highest Decision Maker, Elder Mo, had remained silent throughout. Frustration was all they could express, after all, they had tried their very best.

...

In the Overlord Commerce’s prison, Hua Lidian sat quietly in meditation.

Upon hearing footsteps, he couldn’t help but lift his head, then delightedly called out, ”Meixi...”

Hua Meixi stopped outside the cell, her gaze cold as she spoke, ”Don’t talk to me in that tone. It disgusts me to hear it. Ever since you abandoned me and Mother back then, all that’s left between us is blood relation.”

Hearing this, Hua Lidian’s eyes dimmed, his face filled with pain.

Outside the prison, Hua Meixi’s tone remained indifferent. ”The reason I’m here in the East Plain Northern Land this time isn’t out of any affection for you. I simply don’t want others to know that I can’t even save my biological father. I can’t afford to lose face like that.”

Hua Lidian raised his head in a daze, asking, ”What about Sikong Jing, what’s the plan?”

Hua Meixi coldly stared at him, laughing with a sneer as she spoke, ”I just clearly said it. I don’t want to lose face, so I will ensure your safety and place all the blame on Sikong Jing.”

At this statement, Hua Lidian couldn’t help but stand up, saying, ”Meixi, this matter still...”

”Shut up.”

Not waiting for him to finish, Hua Meixi sharply interrupted, ”My mind is made up.”

”Besides, you’re quite laughable. I’ve interacted with that Sikong Jing, and he’s just a small, unexperienced figure.”

”You even claimed he could become my future ally, ha...”

”He even audaciously planned to use a million Innate Realm mercenaries to confront the Overlord Commerce. It’s ridiculous how much you value him. Stay put here, if there are any charges against you, I’ll do my best to make your suffering less.”

After speaking, Hua Meixi turned to leave...

Hua Lidian was left stunned, wondering why Sikong Jing would attempt to resist with just a million mercenaries. That wasn’t like him!

Could it be he really lacks experience due to never having seen a Martial Battle Realm strongman?

Pondering, Hua Lidian called out loudly again, ”Meixi, Sikong Jing might be inexperienced, but his...”

Before finishing his sentence, Hua Meixi turned back coldly, ”He is a good person, but he cannot survive in this harsh world. He didn’t hesitate to reject your goodwill, so don’t waste more words with me. It’s decided.”

The sound faded as Hua Meixi had already walked far away.

The cell became eerily silent again, leaving Hua Lidian full of helpless bitterness.

After a long time, he murmured again, ”Meixi, at least you’ve seen there are men like Sikong Jing who have responsibility in this world, not all men are as rotten as your father.”

”At least you know, this world isn’t heartless, not making you utterly hate the heavens and earth.”

As he kept speaking, hope appeared in his eyes for a moment, and he continued, ”Sikong Jing, what is he thinking? Do I have any way to save him, his Spirit Platform Initial Appearance... not enough.”

Hua Lidian truly wanted to save Sikong Jing. Last time he assured the latter’s rank wouldn’t approach Wang Ge and failed.

This time he promised Ren Dongmeng’s matter wouldn’t cause big troubles, yet it seemed to be failing too. He didn’t like constantly breaking his word.

Although he was helpless, he felt sorry for Sikong Jing...

Just as Hua Lidian felt enormous distress, meanwhile, Hua Meixi walked out of the prison.

Suddenly, she stopped.

Looking at the Nu Hua Team members trailing behind, she asked, ”Even though I slapped Hua Lidian’s ridiculous face, making him realize the person he values is just an inexperienced waste. Why don’t I feel happy?”

The Nu Hua Team members looked at each other, then one member stepped forward.

”That Sikong Jing, indeed deserves admiration. His lack of experience is solely because the place he was born wasn’t strong enough.”

The second member also stepped forward, continuing the conversation, ”Uncle Hua was right, such a person indeed can be fully reliable as an ally, at least no matter the circumstances, he would never betray friends.”
