From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

The combat power and vitality of Little Bears are always infinitely potential, with explosive potential! Once they find their group, this destructive power will grow exponentially! The pure Little Bear at Su Jiameng’s home is such...

Of course, Little Bears never think of themselves as Little Bears, and Su Huaifeng thinks the same way. Ever since Huaifeng bonded with Jiang Xin and Hua Yi last time, they exchanged friend lists in private and now chat online during free time...

Following the basic strategies online, Huaifeng formed a small group that includes his own big brother, Qianhe, Jiang Xin, and Hua Yi. Actually, he wanted to add his mom too, but when he thought about how he usually complains about some sensitive topics, he realized it would be a tragedy if his mom caught him. Considering his own butt, he dropped this idea.

According to the Alliance regulations, children are allowed to enter the virtual network when their spiritual power reaches the minimum threshold, preferably accompanied by parents to prevent these little ones from not knowing how to log out. Jiang Xin and Huaifeng agreed on a time to meet in the virtual network. Huaifeng had never been to the virtual network before, so he felt a bit uneasy.

However, to maintain his image as an expert, he certainly couldn’t express this worry to Jiang Xin. Jiang Xin mentioned that he had played in the virtual network with his brother a long time ago, and it was a remarkably free and wide magical world!

Huaifeng longed to go to the virtual network now, but... who could tell him how to log in?

Huaixi saw his little brother’s anxiety without saying a word, then silently turned his face away. Huaixi didn’t believe these two little ones could run into the virtual network without parental consent and escape Uncle Changxi’s monitoring; they would surely be caught and brought back right away?

”Brother, what should I do?” Huaifeng researched some basic operations on the interstellar network, but he didn’t recognize many terms and felt confused, neither wanting to lose face by asking Jiang Xin, he forced himself to appear strong while struggling here.

”Why not ask Uncle Changxi? I recall Uncle Changxi is quite knowledgeable about this...” Huaixi generously provided guidance to his little brother, just after warning (threatening) Qian Chen, Changxi welcomed Huaifeng’s eager need to know.

After listening to Huaifeng’s doubts, Changxi chuckled, raised his hand to pat Huaifeng’s head, and said, ”Entering the virtual network requires mediation. If personal AI systems are advanced enough, they can directly connect and enter the network. If not, they need to connect to a mechanical nutrition pod... The young master’s AI is prepared specifically by the owner and can directly enter the virtual network.”

A Little Bear’s eyes suddenly lit up, grabbing Changxi’s hand and asking, ”Then Uncle Changxi, what should Xiao Feng do?”

Changxi tilted his head, with a straight face, and clearly said, ”Well... because the owner fears the young masters might irresponsibly enter the virtual network, command intercepts were issued to the AI. Unless the owner agrees to cancel the command, the young master has no way to enter the virtual network; even using the mechanical nutrition pod won’t work, all information will be intercepted...”

Upon hearing this, Huaifeng’s face was full of disappointment and dejection. Uncle Changxi’s words were clear, meaning he couldn’t go to the virtual network... unless he got mom’s permission. But... thinking back to the trouble he caused days ago, dismantling a piece of equipment in the training room and making mom furious, he began to feel deterred... Asking mom now would be asking for a beating...

However, there are always twists and turns in life, Changxi offered a solution, ”But the young master needn’t worry too much, I remember the owner placed the command cancellation password in the wardrobe. If you look there now, you might find it...”

”Really?” Huaifeng looked at Changxi with teary eyes, not noticing the flaw in the words or the barely suppressed smile at the corner of Changxi’s mouth. His longing to go to the virtual network made him less observant of other things than ever.

”Naturally it’s true.” Changxi couldn’t help but smile gently.

The Little Bear, temporarily lacking intelligence, was successfully fooled by Changxi’s words, scratched his head in dismay, and dashed to his mom’s room. Huaixi watched his little brother jump into such a simple trap, feeling the urge to comment but finding facepalming insufficient to express his desire to mock.
