From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

Shangguan Ruiqi is dead. This news was exactly what Su Jiameng wanted. As for how he died, that didn’t matter. It was enough just to know that this person was no longer in this world. After sorting out her feelings, she slept incredibly soundly that night.

”Mom...” The two little dumplings seemed not to have adapted to their mom being back home. They yawned in their pajamas as they came out of their rooms, blurry-eyed, and saw their mom already in a bathrobe, with a hot towel on her shoulders coming upstairs, leaving them momentarily dazed.

”Too relaxed, sleeping in until this time...” Su Jiameng mischievously lifted her hand to pinch their noses. The two nearly identical faces showed frowning expressions, making them quite adorable, making you want to hold them and cuddle them for a while.

”Mom... we weren’t sleeping in... Mom just got up too early.” The two little ones were a bit upset, with Huaifeng being the most direct, reaching out to hug her waist and acting spoiled, saying, ”This time is just right, we didn’t sleep in...”

Although Su Jiameng is quite strict with her little dumplings, she also enjoys their affection towards her. After all, boys are different from girls; when they grow up, their personalities change, becoming reserved and attentive to their image, and it’s rare to see them acting spoiled like this. Su Jiameng smiled and stroked Huaifeng’s hair; previous injuries had not left any marks.

”Alright, alright, you didn’t sleep in or laze around, but mom is curious whether you’ve improved these past days...” Su Jiameng said with a smile, words that made the two dumplings turn pale instantly, as the atmosphere became eerily chilly, ”How about a couple of rounds in the training room?”

How could the two little rascals outplay their experienced mom? Without a doubt, they lost miserably. Huaifeng, covering his small face in frustration, cried out, ”Mom is bullying us, there was no way to beat mom, we just got beaten... it hurts so much...”

”This is called guiding training, not beating up the son...” Su Jiameng seriously corrected the little one’s choice of words, then laughed suddenly, ”Mom will eventually grow old and weak, but our Xiao Feng will become mature and strong, and you’ll be able to win then.”

Huaifeng instantly drooped his face, hmm’ed, and turned around, showing his back to her. Clearly, the little guy was angered by her. After a while, when he didn’t get the comforting words from Su Jiameng he was waiting for, he unwillingly turned back to peek at her, his little cowlick bouncing, tracing an arc in the air.

Huaifeng’s little actions didn’t escape Su Jiameng’s eyes. The little guy didn’t yet know how to hide his emotions, each movement betraying his inner thoughts. When Huaifeng turned his head to peek at her, his gaze was captured by hers, making the little guy blush and fume.

Knowing she couldn’t tease him any longer, Su Jiameng smiled and asked, ”Why is Xiao Feng suddenly throwing a tantrum? Could it be that mom said something wrong? Hmm? Even though I’m an adult, there are times when I say the wrong thing. If Xiao Feng thinks there’s something not right, he can point it out.”

”Mom...” Huaifeng didn’t reply, but Huaixi did. The child who loved keeping a stern face since young was now even more serious. Su Jiameng listened intently, wanting to understand their thoughts. Huaixi took a deep breath and said, ”Mom, my brother and I will grow up too, become stronger and more mature, we want to be as amazing as mom and defeat you...”

Su Jiameng nodded as she listened; she knew she was often away from home, leaving her clever and mature but well-behaved sons at home, and barely making time to pay attention to them, but this didn’t mean she didn’t care about their growth and feelings.

She had heard that in every boy’s heart, the father is like an insurmountable mountain, something they take pride in but also constantly strive to surpass, with the father being someone they must defeat. The two children have no father, so Su Jiameng plays both the father and mother... Of course, given someone’s personality, she ends up playing the role of dad more often.

She wanted to understand her children’s thoughts better, not through blind guesswork but through fair and friendly dialogue.

”Mom certainly knows you have that potential...” Su Jiameng, upon hearing this, already understood what her children wanted to express and why they were upset. Sometimes, sons being too clever and difficult isn’t good; it can wear a mother out.

”Hmm... That’s only natural!” Huaixi rarely showed a hint of childishness, extending his arms to encircle her neck as she squatted down, and said in a low voice, ”We’ll win, and it absolutely won’t be because mom grows old! Mom won’t age; she’ll always stay strong!”
