From BOSS to Canon Fodder: She is Currently Out of Service!

The events occurring at the Xilena First Affiliated School Primary Department did not escape the gaze of the outside world. This shock quickly disseminated through various channels. As Xilena Star’s paramount institution’s first affiliated school, it endured two egregious attacks within just five years, the latest resulting in the deaths of children and some parents; the circumstances are extremely serious!

The school hastily convened a press conference to apologize and diverted considerable resources to search for the culprit. What surprised them was that the Military Department stationed at Qiming Star took the initiative to intervene, even led by the currently acclaimed Captain Shangguan Ruolin!

The position Shangguan Ruolin holds now should have belonged to his older brother, Shangguan Ruiqi. Yet, for unknown reasons, the firstborn of the Shangguan Family repeatedly erred, not only expelled from the family but also escorted by the Military Department to stand trial at a military court.

Even more shocking to everyone was that Shangguan Ruiqi outrageously resisted arrest and even escaped from prison!

Some female admirers of Shangguan Ruiqi couldn’t believe their idol would commit such heinous acts and propagated theories online claiming there was a conspiracy, that Shangguan Ruiqi was innocent, and that Shangguan Ruolin, who stood to benefit, was the real culprit!

Topics like #MilitaryDepartmentGiveAnExplanation, RevealTheTruth, PunishTheCulpritShangguanRuolin# became very popular for a time, even reaching the top three hottest topics on the interstellar network! Many citizens were swayed by these fervent female fans and joined the ”vindication” ranks spontaneously. However, the proud and authoritative Military Department would never heed these voices.

”If you apprehend Shangguan Ruiqi, the first choice is to capture him alive. If the resistance is severe, necessary measures should be taken to terminate on the spot!”

Shangguan Ruolin appeared gloomier than before, a substantial severity gathered between his brows, thick and unmoving, as if lightning brewed within! After learning from his father that his brother had fallen victim more than a century ago and even his lover had been cruelly killed by this mysterious monster, Shangguan Ruolin awaited this moment incessantly!

”Yes!” A unified voice rang out, overwhelming with momentum. Looking at his subordinates’ faces, Shangguan Ruolin clenched his fist tighter! This time, there was no way Shangguan Ruiqi... no, that monster impersonating his brother for over a century would escape!

The construction of mechas is largely the same, even though cockpit arrangements differ, but for an old hand like Su Jiameng, it takes just a bit of time to get the hang of it quickly! Moreover, the standard weapon for this mecha is a laser particle sword, which is perfectly suited for her use.

”Earlier, Xiao Xi caught your tail. Not only did you not flee, but you also dared to stay here and continue your evil deeds... truly seeking your own death!” As Su Jiameng approached, she had basically determined who the pilot was—the long-missing escaped convict Shangguan Ruiqi!

The unmistakable aura emanating from him, even without resorting to telekinesis, allowed Su Jiameng to quickly pinpoint his location!

At this moment, Changxi sent a communication request, and Su Jiameng opened the link, ”Is there something, Changxi?”

”The one launching the attack is Shangguan Ruiqi! However, his condition is peculiar, with the merpeople’s genetic proportions rapidly increasing, growing more prominent, so you need to be cautious, Master!” Merfolk sonic attacks can affect telekinesis, and in this race-against-time battle, any slight lapse could cause even someone as powerful as Su Jiameng to fail!

”The merpeople genetics are rising?” Su Jiameng solemnly reiterated, feeling something was amiss in her heart, though she couldn’t pin it down at the moment. ”Don’t worry, his little sonic attacks aren’t a concern to me... but it’s different for the children below. If the range or strength of the sonic attacks were too great, their senses might be destroyed...”

”The proportion is steadily increasing!” Changxi added, ”These rampaging monsters are also influenced by special medicine. I think these were probably taken by Shangguan Ruiqi from that laboratory... this time, it’s very likely that the research personnel are actively supporting Shangguan Ruiqi, using this chaos to observe the drug effects... it’s live experimentation...”

”Sounds exactly like something the research lab people would do... a bunch of lunatics!” Su Jiameng operated the mecha, extracting the laser particle sword as the hotline particle cannon inside the mechanical arm entered a buffering state, ”Continue secret monitoring! This time, aim to take him out!”
