My Youth Began With Him

At breakfast, Tiantian kept putting food onto Wei Ying’s plate.

She looked to be very fond of Wei Ying.

Shen Mingxi remembered what Tiantian had told him and found it was hard to tell whether what the kids did was sincere or faked.

After breakfast, Shen Mingxi went to the company. Before he left, he gave Wei Ying a black gold card and 50,000 yuan cash.

Half an hour later, some saleswomen from luxurious brand shops delivered clothes and shoes of her size and some bags.

Wei Ying was extremely flattered by his attention.

She had never imagined that Shen Mingxi would one day dote on her so much; he hadn’t done this even during their honeymoon.

He was spoiling her.

She logged into her WeChat account and received messages from Shen Mingxi.

“You came out home in a hurry and didn’t bring many clothes, so I bought you some… Do you like them?”

“I do. They are very good.”

“I only bought you three bags. I’ll take you to go shopping during the weekend. The black gold card is my additional card; it has 6 million credit.”

“Mingxi, thank you. I think my dad will calm down soon and I can go home to get my own bank cards and ID.”

“Don’t worry. Tell me when you need something.”

After her talk with Shen Mingxi, Wei Ying glanced at the new bags and clothes delivered to her and felt as if she was in a dream.

“Aunt Wei Ying, will you marry Uncle Shen again?”

Tiantian ran into her room dressed in a white cotton sleeping gown. Bare footed, she looked pure and innocent with her hair down.

“I…” In fact, she couldn’t answer the question.

She couldn’t say no because she wanted to marry Shen Mingxi, but she couldn’t say yes either because her family was strongly against it.

“I truly don’t know.”

“Aunt Wei Ying, Uncle Shen knows he made a mistake. In fact… it’s not Uncle Shen’s fault. My mom is a bad woman who’s made lots of mistakes and made Uncle Shen unhappy. Uncle Shen is very kind and raised me, a kid who has no blood relation with him, as his own daughter. I regret that I made many mistakes and disappointed him.”

Wei Ying was astonished to hear the words, thinking the girl had matured a lot in mind.

“Aunt Wei Ying, I hope you can stay with Uncle Shen. I know he loves you. I don’t know what happened lately; I’m a kid and don’t quite understand such things, but I know he hasn’t slept well. But last night, he slept soundly. I hope you can give Uncle Shen a family.”

“Tiantian, you don’t hate me? If not for me, maybe you and your mom…”

“Even without you, my mom wouldn’t have had a future with Uncle Shen. A woman like her doesn’t know gratitude, so she’ll never have happiness.”

Tiantian’s words sounded strange coming from a child’s mouth, but they made sense.

“Tiantian, who told you this?”

“No one. I’m not stupid and understand the situation. My mom, no, Huo Yanyan, is unredeemable. I think she’s crazy; everything she does is crazy. If not for Uncle Shen’s kindness, she would have died 80 times now. Still she paid back his kindness with hatred… Uncle Shen is really pitiable. Aunt Wei Ying, please don’t leave him. If you don’t like me here, I can leave; you can send me to an orphanage or a family for adoption. I just can’t stand in the way of Uncle Shen’s happiness.”

Tiantian even shed tears and Wei Ying’s heart ached for the little girl.
