My Youth Began With Him

Gao Yaruo, who was normally condescending, no longer had her ordinary flames; she could not overpower other people just now. Even people who were just watching on the side felt good about this.

“Hehe, we thought Gao Yaruo acted like a demanding princess because she came from a powerful family. Who would have thought that Xiaoxiao was the real princess… This sure is a good wake up call for her…”

“Yeah. It’s like Su Xiaoxiao slapped her in the face and she doesn’t have the guts to fight back.”

“Sh… you’ll anger the real princess. There sure are a lot of hidden characters at Imperial Star Entertainment. Do you guys think that Han Yueyao is from some wealthy family too?”

“Not sure. I heard that Huo Mian recommended Han Yueyao to President Su.”

“Wow! Do you even know what Huo Mian means to President Su? She’s his favourite. If she recommended her, then she probably has a good background. We should be careful and not go against them.”

Gao Yaruo was no longer as haughty as she was before while Su Xiaoxiao criticized and mocked her.

Who was Su Xiaoxiao? Now that Su Yu announced her identity, she was able to do whatever she wanted. However, Han Yueyao knew that Su Xiaoxiao wasn’t like that; after all, Su Xiaoxiao was not Gao Yaruo.

A few minutes after Su Yu left, Han Yueyao got a WeChat message from Su Yu.

“Come to my office.”

“Why?”

“Don’t worry. You are too ugly for me to play the unspoken rules,” Su Yu said rather speechlessly.

Han Yueyao felt rather conflicted with that message. Should she think it was funny or should she be offended?

She said goodbye to Xiaoxiao and left the cafeteria to take the elevator up to the top floor, where the CEO’s office was.

When she arrived at Su Yu’s office’s door, An was there waiting for her.

“Go in. President Su is waiting for you.”

“President Su doesn’t seem to be in a good mood today. Will he lecture me?” Han Yueyao said worriedly.

“Don’t worry. You’re going to be fine. President Su doesn’t take out his anger on people who don’t deserve it. Head in now.”

Han Yueyao was still worried, so she was very careful when she walked in.

“Come over,” Su Yu said while waving his hand.

Han Yueyao walked over hesitantly. “President Su…”

“Sit.”

“Okay.”

“Why are you so stiff? I won’t bite you.”

“I don’t taste good,” Han Yueyao refuted.

“You sure don’t want to lose. I say one thing and you come back at me ten times more.”

“President Su, can you get to the point? I’m scared.”

“So you can be scared too, eh? Are you nervous for tomorrow’s live show then?”

“I can say I’m not nervous.”

Su Yu: “…”

“Can you take this more seriously?”

“How can I not be nervous? My god… My legs are shaking. So many people are watching, and the rates are so high. If I say anything wrong or do anything wrong, then it will embarrass me and my family.”

Han Yueyao slowly started to confess under Su Yu’s presence and threats.

“I summoned you for this so don’t worry. I just want to say that even if you can’t get through the first round, I won’t blame you.”

“I’ll do my best for sure. Even if I am disqualified in the first round, lecturing me afterwards wouldn’t change anything.”

“I wanted to comfort you. Why are you comforting me instead?” Su Yu said jokingly.

Han Yueyao giggled and scratched her head, as if she was a playful child.

“I won’t go there with you tomorrow, nor will I watch it live…”

“Okay. It’s best that you don’t watch. I’m already so nervous,” Han Yueyao said and nodded, looking very satisfied.

“Do your best. You don’t need to put so much pressure on yourself. Some people aren’t confident about their being just because they’re not popular. You don’t need to be scared of those artists, but you do need to show respect to people more senior than you.”

“I understand.” Han Yueyao felt that Su Yu was very formal today, so she took what he said to heart.

“I don’t have much more to tell you. Take a manager and an assistant with you. Have them contact me immediately if something happens.”

“Okay.”

“That’s all. You can go now.”

“President Su, I have something to say.”

“What is it?” Su Yu looked up from his desk and at Han Yueyao.
