My Youth Began With Him

Wei Liao was usually gentle and polite and seldom lost his temper, but he’d get violent whenever his younger sister was in trouble.

“Sir, Young Madam is still at the hotel.”

Rubbing his temples, Wei Liao grabbed his coat and walked to the door.

“Honey… It’s too early. Wait until daybreak.”

Jiang Xiaowei looked at the clock and saw it was only 3:40 in the morning.

“It’s fine. Honey, I’ll be back soon. You take care of our son.”

“Honey, don’t yell at them, or you will scare Ying.”

Worried, Jiang Xiaowei instructed him.

“I know.”

“Don’t fight, okay?”

“Okay.”

Wei Liao reached out gently and touched her face. Then he walked out with his men and went straight to the hotel in a fit of fury.

Shen Mingxi had kept changing towels on Wei Ying’s forehead to cool her down. He finally relaxed when she felt less hot under his hand.

Wei Ying woke up groggily.

“Thirsty. Water… Want water.”

Shen Mingxi got up immediately and brought her the warm water he had prepared.

Wei Ying gulped down a big glass of water before she opened her eyes slowly.

“Big Brother Mingxi…”

She was surprised to see Shen Mingxi.

“You’re okay now. Your fever is finally gone.”

“How come I’m here?”

Wei Ying sounded listless. But when she saw it was Shen Mingxi who was with her, she relaxed because she trusted him.

“It’s a long story.”

Shen Mingxi didn’t know how to explain.

“I remember… I was tipsy and wanted to go home. I was about to call my chauffeur when… Ye Zhaoyang came after me… I don’t remember the rest.”

Wei Ying felt dizzy and didn’t know what had happened.

Patiently, Shen Mingxi told her everything.

Wei Ying was astonished.

“He… drugged me…”

Wei Ying was enraged. After hearing Huo Mian’s words in the yacht, she had had a feeling that Ye Zhaoyang was colluding with Huo Yanyan to ruin her relationship with Shen Mingxi, so she had ignored him ever since.

She refused his dinner invitations and didn’t reply to his WeChat messages.

But today, she bumped into him at a common friend’s birthday party, and then he took the opportunity to drug her.

“I didn’t know he was such a beast.”

“Big Brother Mingxi, I’m sorry to drag you into my trouble…”

Dejected to find herself in this situation, Wei Ying had tears in her eyes.

She looked pitiable…

Shen Mingxi was heart-broken to see her like this and pulled the covering more tightly around her.

Wei Ying was wearing a set of white thermal pajamas that Shen Mingxi had asked the hotel to deliver to their room.

Both dressed, there was nothing awkward between them.

Wei Ying was grateful that Shen Mingxi had shown up in time to save her from Ye Zhaoyang.

“Don’t mention it. I’d never forgive myself if anything happened to you…”

Before Wei Ying could answer, Wei Liao barged into the room with bodyguards.

“Big Brother…” Wei Ying began in a small voice.

“Big Brother Wei.”

Shen Mingxi greeted him, too.

Without a word, Wei Liao walked over, carried Wei Ying from the bed and handed her to the bodyguard standing next to him.

“You guys take her back.”

Then Wei Liao grabbed Shen Mingxi’s collar and punched him.

“Shen Mingxi, you had the nerve to scheme against Ying and drag the Wei Family down the water just to save your family business. Are you still a man?” Wei Liao demanded fiercely.
