My Youth Began With Him

“Little Auntie, are you always so funny?”

“Funny? Am I? I always think I’m gentle.”

Han Yueyao appraised herself earnestly…

“Well. Fine, I’ll treat you as a gentle person.”

“Why don’t you play with your sister?”

“I’m tired of staying with her. If you see yourself in the mirror all day long, won’t you feel tired of it?”

“Haha. Good point.”

Compared to Little Bean, Han Yueyao found Pudding more interesting.

Due to her talents with speech, Little Bean was funny, could play coy, play cute, and flatter people.

In contrast, Pudding was steady, calm, and intelligent; in short, she inherited her parents’ best genes and was a perfect child.

Her only shortcoming was being too mature and smart for her age. With a higher IQ than all the other kids of her age, she couldn’t be as naive as her peers.

Strictly speaking, it shouldn’t be counted as a shortcoming since she wasn’t an ordinary child but a child prodigy.

“Little Auntie, are you from Jing City?”

“Yeah.”

“Then why don’t you have the Jing dialect accent?”

“Because I learnt mandarin. As a dance teacher, I can’t teach kids with the Jing dialect, right?”

“Are you working in Imperial Star?” Pudding asked.

“Yeah, I run errands.”

“No, you’re the boss’s woman,” Pudding corrected her.

“Yeah, temporarily. I might be replaced at any moment. Hahaha.”

Playing the game on her cellphone, she chatted with Pudding casually.

“No, you won’t be replaced unless you get close to him for other purposes.”

Han Yueyao’s fingers paused on the game.

Pudding’s words had a deeper meaning. She warned Han Yueyao not to have a secret agenda for Su Yu; otherwise she’d be in trouble.

“In fact, it’s easy to deal with people with purposes. He can give money to those who want money, promote those who want power, and give more coverage to those who want to be famous. These things are difficult to achieve for ordinary people, but for Su Yu, it’s child’s play.”

“Yeah. What do you want then?” Pudding asked with a smile as if she was joking; she didn’t look even a little bit embarrassed.

Surprised, Han Yueyao said with a chuckle, “I want all these.”

“Good luck.”

Then Pudding stood up and ran away.

Han Yueyao wondered what the child thought of her, but she didn’t think people would dislike her just because she wanted to make some money. After all, she didn’t have any scheme against Su Yu or any other people.

After warning Han Yueyao, Su Yu went to find Wei Liao and the others to drink and chat.

But when he came to the door of the compartment, Shen Mingxi stopped him and asked him to talk on the deck.

The yacht was close to the shore, so the winds on the deck were not too strong; in fact, it was cool up here.

“Why do you look so depressed? Are you haunted by a ghost?” Su Yu teased Shen Mingxi with a glass of champagne in his hand.

“Mr. Su, I want you to loan some money to me.”

“How much?” Su Yu asked without hesitation.

“How much do you have on hand?” Shen Mingxi asked in a low voice.

“Give me the number and I’ll loan it to you.” Su Yu was very generous.

Hearing his words, Shen Mingxi’s eyes shined a little bit.

Su Yu looked playful and unconcerned but was most reliable at the critical moments.

“My company needs money to keep operating. It’s in a very bad situation. But… if I say I don’t know when I can pay you back, will you still loan me the money?” Shen Mingxi sipped red wine and said in low spirits.
