My Youth Began With Him

3650 Birthday Banquet 20

“That’s not a joke, Han Yueyao, I’m beginning to have feelings for you.”

Han Yueyao: “…”

“I know I don’t have much, but I’ll do my best to give you everything. Are you willing to be with me?”

“Wait… um… Xiaoxiao has liked you for a very long time. Do you know about that?” Han Yueyao asked.

“I know.”

“Then you should be with her.”

“I don’t like her.”

Han Yueyao: “…”

“Feelings are weird. I’ve known Su Xiaoxiao for so long but I still don’t feel anything towards her… but towards you… I’ve only met you a couple of times but I’ve already fallen for you. If today’s chance meeting didn’t happen, I would’ve confessed to you soon anyway. I’m from the north… and am very direct. I don’t like to hide my feelings. So, hopefully, I didn’t scare you.”

“I am indeed a little startled if I’m being honest.” Han Yueyao didn’t know what to say.

She had never ever imagined receiving a confession in the middle of a raucous little restaurant.

How was he so calm even when confessing?

“Don’t be scared. We’ll be together if you want to… If you don’t… I won’t force you. I know we’re just street rats… but my brothers are really sensible.”

“Then why did you guys get Xiaoxiao drunk before? What was that about?” Han Yueyao immediately questioned him about the previous incident.

“That was Xiaoxiao. She was mad at me so she drank a lot. I promise I didn’t force her.”

“Fine… even so, it’s still too sudden. Lin Hang… we don’t even know each other.”

“What does that have to do with liking each other?”

“I’ve just never even thought about it… Plus, if Xiaoxiao found out, she’d be really sad.”

“I’ll deal with Xiaoxiao. After all, I’ve never dated her. Don’t worry about it.”

“The problem is… I’m not really planning on dating you.”

Han Yueyao tried her best to convince him.

“You don’t like me? Is it because… I’m poor?” Lin Hang felt a little self-conscious.

Han Yueyao was a beauty. Plus, she graduated from the dance academy, so even with her ordinary family, she was still from a good background.

Now that she was in Imperial Star, it would only be days before she became famous.

He knew that she was way out of his league.

However, he really couldn’t control himself. The happiness he felt every time he saw Han Yueyao was too real.

“No, it has nothing to do with money. I’m not tooting my own horn… but even if you were some rich kid… and drove nice cars… and you owned mansions… I would still reject your confession. To put it simply, you don’t like Su Xiaoxiao because you don’t like her. I feel the same towards you.”

“I see…” Lin Hang felt a little dejected.

“Ma’am, how much?”

“Altogether is 48 yuan.” The restaurant owner looked at both Han Yueyao and Lin Hang.

“Here’s 50. No change needed. I loved your food.”

With that, Han Yueyao left a 50 yuan bill and walked out.

Actually, it was more like she was running away.

Lin Hang stayed in place, not catching up to her. This was the first time he’d ever confessed to someone in his life… and he was rejected so quickly.

“Lin… don’t you like Xiaoxiao?”

Sensing something, the female store owner tried to throw in her two cents.

Lin Hang laughed but didn’t reply. It was something only he could understand.

Han Yueyao raced back to work in a taxi, afraid to get scolded by her boss.

At the entrance of the building, however, she ran into Su Yu… literally.

“President Su… President Su… here, take this.” Without any explanation, Han Yueyao stuffed the huge baby gift basket into Su Yu’s arms, attracting the attention of all the passing employees.

They looked at Su Yu like they were observing something bizarre.

What was going on between President Su and the company’s newbie? Why were they holding a gift basket for a baby?

“What’s the meaning of this? Han Yueyao?” Su Yu furrowed his brows.
