Got arrested againOriginally, according to Lin Yuan’s plan, Song Xiaoxiao, that troublemaker, would not appear in his life again.

However, he never expected that the three of them would meet again so soon.

In the back of a modified Iveco, the three of them sat in two rows.

Xia Ye and Song Xiaoxiao shared one row, while Lin Yuan sat alone in another.

Song Xiaoxiao turned her head to the side, looking as if she didn’t want to talk to anyone.

“What did I tell you?” Lin Yuan’s expression was full of helplessness, “I told you to stay away from us. But you just had to keep coming closer again and again. Now look.”

Lin Yuan raised his hands. This time, he wasn’t showing off the red string Eight Trigrams amulet Xia Ye gave him, but rather because his wrists now had a pair of silver handcuffs connected together.

In fact, there were two other people in the cramped car compartment.

A female sat between Song Xiaoxiao and Xia Ye, and another male sat next to Lin Yuan.

If one looked at the Iveco from the outside, they would notice its striking blue and white paint job. A red and blue flashing light was also installed on top, currently blinking, and occasionally letting out sharp siren wails.

That’s right. Lin Yuan was about to be imprisoned again!

“Behave yourself.” Just as Lin Yuan raised his hand, the police officer beside him pressed it down.

“Comrade, I’m not her accomplice. My girlfriend and I are innocent.”

Upon hearing this, Song Xiaoxiao on the opposite side responded straightforwardly, “I’ll take responsibility for my own actions. If I mention even half a word about you later, may I be cut into a thousand pieces and die a horrible death.”

“Oh,” the male police officer found this amusing, “Are you exchanging secret codes? At a time like this, what’s the point of pretending?”

“Comrade, I’m really not pretending. I’m innocent. I have nothing to do with her. I’m a graduate student at Zijin Aviation School. If you don’t believe me, look at my student ID. It’s in my pocket.” Lin Yuan said, leaning his pocket towards the officer.

“Sit properly, and behave.” But clearly, the other party didn’t want to talk much with Lin Yuan.

Seeing that repeated attempts to explain were futile, Lin Yuan had to find another way. At a time like this, he could only rely on his two masters for help.

“Comrade, can I make a call to my supervisor?”

“Supervisor? You’ve come to your senses so quickly? Don’t worry, you’ll have a chance to explain later.”

Lin Yuan really couldn’t understand what the other person was saying.

Xia Ye was even more like a frightened child, her eyes darting around, looking restless. She tried to sit with Lin Yuan, but was quickly glared back by the guard beside her.

“Stop your babbling.” Song Xiaoxiao yelled at Lin Yuan, “You’ve been babbling endlessly the whole way. Are you ever going to stop?”

Lin Yuan got angry now, “I’m being implicated by you, and I can’t even explain?”

Song Xiaoxiao raised her hands, “Make sure you wear what’s on your hands properly.” She was quite responsible.

“Both of you, behave. There are people fighting over handcuffs.” Their actions amused the people nearby.

Lin Yuan suddenly realized: How come only he had handcuffs, while Xia Ye didn’t, which was understandable, but why didn’t Song Xiaoxiao, the culprit, have them either?

Was it because they saw him as a man and feared he was a bigger threat, so they cuffed him?

But Lin Yuan suddenly had a bad premonition—could it be that they were really after him? Although he had long suspected this.

Time rewound to one hour ago.

Following the F icon marked by the system, Lin Yuan, out of curiosity, went to check the tissue box and unintentionally discovered the hidden pinhole camera.

So Lin Yuan wanted to call the waiter over to question who the pervert was that installed the peeping camera.

Because the tissue box was very easy to move, he instinctively thought: a pervert was using the tissue box to film peeping videos. After all, such short videos are not uncommon on various illegal websites.

But unexpectedly, what he got was the waiter’s “rapid evacuation.”

After Lin Yuan discovered the pinhole camera, the waiter ran out like a rabbit.

Then several uniformed officers rushed in, even armed with guns. Lin Yuan and Xia Ye were then asked to leave and were taken away.

As the situation developed to this point, Lin Yuan already had a vague guess in his mind, ‘Could it be that they’re after me? Because of that OCR thing? But I haven’t done anything substantial.’

Lin Yuan couldn’t be blamed for being confused. Even though he was fishing for OCR, he hadn’t reached the point of actually providing anything to the other party. Both sides were still in the early stages of cat-and-mouse tug-of-war. Lin Yuan hadn’t even sold the digital currency worth about 30,000 in his possession.

Because he wasn’t short of money at the moment, and these 30,000 digital currencies were, after all, considered seized assets, for the sake of caution, he had kept them hidden.

So, Lin Yuan was very curious as to what exactly went wrong that led to him wearing silver handcuffs at this moment.

Amidst his thoughts, the car finally reached its destination.

The moment the car door opened, Lin Yuan saw a somewhat familiar face—it was Zhang Yan, the female police officer who had caught him for forging the admission letter.

Lin Yuan never expected that they would have a chance to meet again. He had even already erased her from his memory.

In these three months, Lin Yuan went from having nothing to being on the verge of financial freedom, and he had also seemingly confirmed his relationship with Xia Ye. It was as if he had experienced years of a normal person’s life in a short period. He had long since thrown the admission letter incident into a forgotten corner of his memory.

Lin Yuan now felt mostly certain. It wasn’t because Song Xiaoxiao got him caught as a side effect; it was more likely that he got Song Xiaoxiao caught as a side effect.

Lin Yuan quickly explained to Zhang Yan, “Hello, Comrade, it’s all a misunderstanding, a misunderstanding. We are on the same side.”

“Who’s on the same side with you? Get out.”

Lin Yuan was pulled down, “It’s really a misunderstanding. Let me call my supervisor and school leaders, and it will be clear.”

“Your supervisor can’t save you this time. I advise you not to waste your efforts.”

“Alright.” Lin Yuan also didn’t intend to waste more words. Anyway, his supervisor and Dean Li would eventually be notified. “Please send my girlfriend back first. And my friend,” Lin Yuan was naturally referring to Song Xiaoxiao, “Please also release my friend. It has nothing to do with her.”

Song Xiaoxiao looked at Lin Yuan with a puzzled expression. She didn’t expect Lin Yuan, who had just been arguing with her, to now try to take responsibility for her. After all, she couldn’t possibly guess what Lin Yuan had done, so she naturally didn’t understand Lin Yuan’s conversation with the other party.

For a moment, Song Xiaoxiao involuntarily re-examined this young master in her eyes. Then, looking at the bewildered Xia Ye beside her, she couldn’t help but feel a hint of jealousy towards her good best friend.

Because boys who are both rich and responsible like Lin Yuan are truly rare.

“You don’t need to tell us how to do our job. We won’t wrongly accuse a good person, nor will we let a bad person go.”

“Lin Yuan is a good person. You must have arrested the wrong person.” Xia Ye defended Lin Yuan very directly.

Zhang Yan looked at Xia Ye’s pure eyes and innocent demeanor, shaking her head slightly in helplessness, “We’ve seen many naive girls like you.”

Song Xiaoxiao tugged at Xia Ye’s sleeve beside her and whispered, “Whatever you say now is useless.” Xia Ye could only look at Lin Yuan worriedly, appearing at a loss.

So, Lin Yuan once again sat on the iron chair in the interrogation room.

It must be said, the specifications this time were even higher than last time. The interrogation room was fully covered with foam sponge padding, and even the armrests of the iron chair were covered with soft rubber. Last time, Lin Yuan’s hands were only restrained; this time, his feet were also locked.

Last time, only one person watched him. This time, there were two people, one on each side, staring intently at him.
