Algorithm system

Help with the takeawayLin Yuan obtained Da Zhang’s real-time location information through a small software installed on Da Zhang’s phone, and then reported the location information to the company’s cloud server.

The system naturally loaded Da Zhang’s travel trajectory from the cloud server.

Ten minutes later, the system successfully analyzed that Da Zhang had picked up a meal from a certain merchant.

As Lin Yuan expected, as long as enough detailed data was fed into the system, it could analyze and produce results. However, this process continuously consumed accumulated computing power.

Watching the constantly diminishing computing power, which was now less than 1000P, Lin Yuan could only feel helpless. So far, he had not discovered any way to acquire computing power other than completing system tasks.

Yet, the tasks released by the system were always few, and at this moment, the task of enrolling in Zijin Aviation School was stuck at [Completion: 99.9%]. This was likely due to the school not having officially started yet, thus preventing final settlement.

Actually, this type of delivery riders data could be obtained from Good Group’s backend, but Lin Yuan clearly did not have sufficient permissions at the moment.

The delivery data collected by Purple Gold was from previous periods, and some data even lacked dates for confidentiality. For the system, such data was useless.

This was because the system could not match merchant data with delivery riders data from the same moment, just like a teapot and its lid failing to match. If the training data was mismatched from the start, then a reasonable algorithm certainly could not be trained.

This is like, if the basic rule of mathematics, 1+1, was defined as equal to 3. Then you would never be able to calculate results that conform to the general rules of the real world.

AI computation is essentially a large-scale role-playing game; if the script it imitates and refers to is wrong from the beginning, then the AI cannot perform a correct result.

Lin Yuan sent Da Zhang a message, “That small application can be deleted now.”

Da Zhang quickly replied, “It’s fine, just leave it installed.”

Although whether or not that small application was deleted was no longer important to Lin Yuan, he still replied with a thank you emoji.

“What a coincidence! I happen to have a delivery order going to your side.”

“The mall on my side?”

“It’s going to the top floor of the mall on your side. Have you finished eating? Do you want me to give you a ride to the subway station on my bike after I deliver this?”

“No need, I also came by bike.”

Lin Yuan had eaten too much for breakfast and wasn’t very hungry. Looking at the considerable amount of food still on the table, especially more than half a plate of fatty lamb rolls, it would be a waste to just throw it away.

“I didn’t finish those dishes just now. Do you want me to pack them for you?” When talking to Da Zhang, being direct was fine; there was no need to worry about him thinking, “Are you looking down on me by giving me leftovers?”

“That would be great! I’ll be there right away.”

Lin Yuan asked for a few takeout containers. This was the good thing about eating hotpot: almost all the leftover ingredients were raw, and stir-frying them together back home made a new dish.

Lin Yuan put all the vegetables together and tried to keep the meat dishes separate, filling a total of six takeout boxes, a whole bag full. He also asked the Haidilao waiter for two ice packs. Lin Yuan had delivered Haidilao takeout several times and knew they had ice packs.

Soon, Lin Yuan waited for Da Zhang at the Haidilao entrance.

“Do you have enough time? Do you have time for bubble tea?”

Da Zhang glanced at the order on his phone, “It’s still early before it’s overdue. If there’s bubble tea, I’ll definitely drink it. Anyway, this order is just on the top floor here.”

Lin Yuan ordered a lightly sweetened Oolong milk tea for himself, while Da Zhang asked for a one-liter bulk-sized milk tea bucket, standard sugar.

Lin Yuan wanted to advise him to pay attention to his diet and health. But he thought better of it, because the other person’s working environment was different from his own now. When he used to deliver takeout, he didn’t drink lightly sweetened milk tea, or rather, he hardly drank milk tea at all then.

Life was already hard enough; how could milk tea be sugar-free? Lin Yuan chose to keep quiet.

“I happen to be taking a walk to digest. Where is your delivery? I’ll deliver it for you.”

“That would be great! You’re my brother. You treat me to a meal, treat me to bubble tea, and even help me deliver takeout.”

“It’s just on the top floor anyway. I still have to thank you for showing me around and helping me learn the roads back then.”

“Hehe,” Da Zhang just chuckled honestly.

Lin Yuan took the takeout and glanced at the address on the order: [Meow Ah Woo Fun Store. XXX Plaza, 6th Floor, No. 631.]

“I’ll message you after I deliver it, then you can mark it as delivered.”

After waving goodbye to Da Zhang, Lin Yuan held his own cup of bubble tea and slowly walked, carrying Da Zhang’s takeout.

If it wasn’t to treat Da Zhang to bubble tea, he wouldn’t have ordered this cup for himself. It was all because he had forced down three breakfasts to collect merchant data in the morning, leaving him with no appetite for the rest of the day.

‘What should I do next?’

‘I still lack delivery riders data.’

‘Get data directly from Good Group’s backend? Obviously impossible; there’s no need to even try applying for that. If I really submitted it, it might even trigger Good Group’s internal security review. What’s the purpose of a new intern like you asking for this type of data permission?’

‘I can’t possibly install small software on each of the hundred delivery riderss under Liu Huzi, can I?’

‘It seems it’s not impossible. But this would create too much of a stir. Someone like Liu Huzi, who is accustomed to exploiting every opportunity, how could he let me do this? He would definitely think I’m promoting some app and would seize the opportunity to extort money from me.’

‘Forget it. I’ll just package it as an app promotion and openly promote it through Liu Huzi. People like him are greedy; a small amount of money will suffice.’

Lin Yuan walked towards No. 631 on the sixth floor, contemplating his work.

Soon, he arrived at the Meow Ah Woo Fun Store.

He had originally thought it was an arcade, but it turned out to be decorated in a two-dimensional style.

Upon entering, from the outside, it looked like just some cartoon characters, but after walking inside and turning a corner, damn it, there were various promotional posters of maids in maid outfits...

“Hello, Master. Would you like to come in and learn more?”

After Lin Yuan entered the door, two girls wearing black and white maid outfits approached him, one in black stockings and the other in white stockings.

The moment they spoke, it was “Master,” and Lin Yuan was utterly shocked.

Only then did he realize that this store felt a bit eerie. No wonder it was located in a corner on the sixth floor, and the entrance was even hard to find. Could he have walked into a spider’s web?

“I, I, I’m just here to deliver takeout.”

“Ah? Okay.” One of the girls immediately switched to a normal expression, “You can just leave it at the door.”

The other girl looked as if a burden had been lifted, but then her face was filled with worry again.

Lin Yuan turned to retreat towards the door, but with a quick glance, the girl in white stockings… how… how did she look a little familiar?

Lin Yuan tried hard to recall; there weren’t many girls he had seen and been impressed by.

‘Could it be, could it be...’ Lin Yuan’s mind suddenly went blank...
