Upgrading of personal industrial structureLin Yuan looked at the admission letter on his laptop screen; he really wanted to send it to his parents to make them happy too.

He hadn’t even told his parents about his graduate school application before this.

But Lin Yuan still suppressed the impulse in his heart, not wanting to cause any extra trouble.

He already had the electronic version; next, he just needed to find an advertising company to print it out.

He downloaded the 49 Tongcheng and found an advertising company that was not too far away and had high ratings.

“Hello, I want to print something.”

“Hello, dear. What do you need to print?”

“An admission letter.”

“??, What kind of admission letter?”

“A graduate admission letter from Zijin Aviation School.”

“Dear, we operate legally.”

“Don’t worry. I’ve already been admitted; I just want to get the admission letter a bit earlier.”

“Dear, your request is quite special. But we really do operate legally.”

Lin Yuan asked several places in a row, and the conversations all ended with “we operate legally.”

Lin Yuan finally realized: making certificates seemed to be a high-risk endeavor. Even if it was for a certificate he would eventually receive anyway.

At this moment, he remembered the urban ’psoriasis’ (billboards) he had seen in the streets and alleys.

No way, if the front door wasn’t an option, he would just have to use the back door.

So Lin Yuan rode his electric scooter around the streets and alleys near the outskirts of the city a few times. Among the chaotic information like ’old Chinese medicine cures all, medicine to cure diseases,’ ’well drilling,’ ’drain unclogging,’ he finally found ’various certificate services.’

He specifically chose a phone number whose ink looked relatively new.

Then he nervously dialed the number.

“Hello, who is this?”

“H-hello. I want to print something.”

“What are you talking about? You must have dialed the wrong number.”

The call was immediately hung up.

Lin Yuan was a bit surprised. He was worried the number wouldn’t work, which was why he specifically looked for one with fresh ink. He didn’t know why this number would be painted on the wall of that private house.

But his surprise didn’t last long before his phone rang.

“Hello, brother. What did you want to do?”

Lin Yuan understood instantly; his knowledge of society had increased by a point.

He didn’t expose the other party but went straight to the point, “Do you print admission notices for schools?”

“What do you mean?”

“Graduate admission notices.”

“What’s the use of that thing? To fool your parents? We can make it, but no one wants it, and it’s a bit expensive to make.”

“You don’t need to make it; I have the electronic version. You just need to print it.”

“Alright. Three hundred yuan, fixed price.”

Lin Yuan clearly couldn’t accept this price, “A regular print shop charges ten or twenty yuan at most. A hundred yuan, fixed price, no more.”

The other party didn’t hesitate much, “Alright then. I’ll add you on WeChat and send you an address.”

“Just tell me the address now.” Lin Yuan had no intention of adding anyone on WeChat.

“Okay, brother. You’re cautious. I’m about 50 meters north of the intersection of XX Road and YY Road.”

As Lin Yuan expected, the location of such a small workshop couldn’t be close to the city center; it was indeed in the urban-rural fringe.

Half an hour later, Lin Yuan arrived at Jiawen Photocopy Shop. The signboard of this shop also read: Legal photocopying of various documents.

The shop owner was an ordinary middle-aged man. After seeing Lin Yuan, he first sized him up, then without asking further, said, “Send me the file on WeChat.”

Lin Yuan handed over a USB drive, still with no intention of adding WeChat. He also specifically emphasized, “Full-color printing, true to scale.”

The shop owner inserted the USB drive into the computer, opened the electronic version of the admission letter Lin Yuan sent, then glanced at Lin Yuan’s electric scooter parked outside with a Good Group Waimai box on it, and finally couldn’t help but blurt out, “Holy cow.”

“Brother, you’re going too far. You’re going from food delivery to rockets now.”

Lin Yuan replied directly, “My school currently doesn’t do rockets; it mainly focuses on aerospace.”

The shop owner just thought Lin Yuan was joking and didn’t say anything more.

But actually, Lin Yuan wasn’t joking at all. Purple Gold Aviation School really doesn’t participate in rockets at the moment; it mainly focuses on helicopters and drones.

“No, brother. What’s the use of you wanting this thing? If you want to change jobs, you need a degree certificate. If you want to fool your parents, you have to be more realistic, right?”

Lin Yuan really didn’t want to explain further, “Are you going to do it or not?”

“Yes, of course. I operate with integrity; I’m just giving you a heads-up.”

Lin Yuan glanced at the shop’s signboard: Legal photocopying of various documents.

It was indeed incredibly honest.

Before long, an admission letter smelling of ink was handed to Lin Yuan.

“WeChat, or Alipay?”

“Boss, by the way, what would be the consequences if someone found out about what I’m doing?” After the impulse, Lin Yuan had calmed down, and the word “consequences” subconsciously popped into his mind.

The boss chuckled, “You’ve already done this, and you still care about the consequences? Forging documents, of course. The more realistic it is, the more severe the consequences.” As he spoke, he glanced at the admission letter in his hand, “I think what you made is pretty real; you’ll definitely be fine with the sewing machine (prison).”

Lin Yuan swallowed hard. ’Forget it, I’ll just endure it a bit longer. The real admission letter will arrive in a month at most.’

So, he tore up the notice on the spot, “I guess I’m pulling back from the brink now, right?”

The boss was stunned, “This is the first time I’ve seen someone like you. What are you doing this for...? But you still have to pay.”

Lin Yuan pulled out a red bill from his pocket and handed it over. How could he pay for such a thing online? At this moment, Lin Yuan was extremely flustered; he wouldn’t dare leave a payment record.

“Oh, brother, quite professional.”

“Thank you, boss.” Lin Yuan then rode away, just wanting to leave that place quickly.

Watching Lin Yuan’s receding back, the shop owner muttered, “Pulling back from the brink, finding the way back... What a pity... Our industry lost a talent.”

The signboard of Jiawen Photocopy Shop was shining brightly in the sunlight at this moment.

The admission letter was a wasted effort, so Lin Yuan planned to package his resume well.

This part was much simpler; Lin Yuan wrote everything truthfully.

He created a persona of a diligent person who, after failing the college entrance examination, worked hard and finally got into a prestigious university for graduate school.

His undergraduate transcript and this year’s graduate entrance exam scores were verifiable. Since Tangcheng Institute of Technology wasn’t particularly impressive, Lin Yuan didn’t bother attaching proof from Xuexinwang. He only attached a screenshot of this year’s graduate entrance exam scores.

Then he posted on the 49 Tongcheng—a prospective graduate student from Zijin Aviation School seeking a summer tutoring job.

About an hour later, Lin Yuan received a call from an education and training institution.

After confirming that Lin Yuan had already received the graduate admission letter from Zijin Aviation School, the other party immediately believed Lin Yuan was a rare commodity.

“Given Lin Student’s situation, we recommend our in-home small group service. There’s currently a large shortage of teachers in this area.”

“I don’t have much experience. Will someone guide me?” Lin Yuan was still very humble.

“It’s like this. For this type of high-end small group service, we never provide teaching training, so as not to make clients feel that it’s all the same.”

“But... I really don’t have much teaching experience.” Lin Yuan was very clear: knowing how to learn and knowing how to teach are two different things.

“You can rest assured about that. High-end clients often don’t really care about the child’s final exam scores.”

Lin Yuan was very puzzled, but he didn’t feel comfortable asking: If they don’t care about the child’s exam scores, then why do they need a tutor?

But after hearing the compensation, Lin Yuan didn’t bother to dwell on it anymore.

“Our basic salary is one hundred yuan per hour, and on top of that, there’s an additional commission based on client satisfaction.”

“H-how much?”

“With your background as a Zijin Aviation School graduate student, a conservative estimate for your average hourly wage should still be around 150 yuan.”

This was the first time Lin Yuan had been worth so much.

Before this, he had been earning three or five yuan per order by delivering food.

Indeed, knowledge is productivity.

This was equivalent to a top delivery driver running himself ragged for a whole day in just two hours.

No wonder the country emphasizes industrial structure upgrading; Lin Yuan had already personally tasted the sweetness brought by “personal industrial structure upgrading.”

After carefully digesting this joy, Lin Yuan finally realized a problem—why did the relevant institution contact him within an hour?

Was someone scanning posts on the 49 Tongcheng? Lin Yuan, being an IT professional, was more inclined to believe that the platform had algorithms scanning in the background.

By analogy, Lin Yuan believed that on platforms related to real estate rentals, or marriage agencies, etc., there must also be the shadow of algorithms.

And algorithms must be supported by computing power.

Thinking of this, Lin Yuan summoned the computing power system. A smile unconsciously appeared at the corner of his mouth.
