Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1400: Chapter 532: Escalating Intimacy!

Zhang Jingdong saw her agree, and instantly became completely happy.

”Great, to test things out, I’ll ask you a few questions now. I hope you can answer honestly, is that okay?”

”This... alright, go ahead and ask.”

”First question, what day does your period usually start?”

”You...”

Tong Xin felt a bit embarrassed instantly: ”Although I trust you, isn’t this question crossing the line a bit?”

Zhang Jingdong shook his head with a smile: ”See, you still don’t quite understand what ’nothing taboo’ means, do you?”

”In fact, the reason I’m asking is that when you are on your period, I can’t perform the cultivation technique on you.”

Tong Xin suddenly realized, then said a bit sheepishly: ”... Alright, I was wrong, I’ll answer your question honestly.”

”... I... It’s usually between the 26th and 28th of each month.”

Zhang Jingdong, looking calm, continued, ”Second question, what is your favorite color?”

This time, Tong Xin answered directly, ”White.”

”Third question, if you could travel, which country that you haven’t been to would you most like to visit?”

Tong Xin thought seriously for a moment, then said, ”There are quite a few I want to visit, but if I had to pick the one I most want to visit... Colombia, I guess.”

Zhang Jingdong was a bit surprised: ”Why?”

”I really like reading Garcia Marquez’s ’One Hundred Years of Solitude’, so I want to see if Colombia is really as magical as described.”

”You certainly are unique!”

Then Zhang Jingdong asked her several more questions, all of which Tong Xin answered truthfully.

At this point, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Alright, you’ve preliminarily passed the test. Go pack up, and I’ll wash these dishes, then we’ll head to the company.”

Tong Xin quickly waved her hand: ”No need, I can do it!”

Zhang Jingdong insisted, ”Don’t worry, I’m quite good at this! Plus, you cooked, so I should wash the dishes. That’s fair, right? Now go on!”

As he spoke, Zhang Jingdong deftly stacked the plates and bowls together and carried them into the kitchen.

Tong Xin saw that he was obviously experienced, and besides, she didn’t want to be in the kitchen with him, so she glanced towards the kitchen door and then turned to go to the bedroom.

About ten minutes later, Zhang Jingdong had tidied everything up and came out of the kitchen.

Tong Xin also came out of the bedroom, having just changed clothes.

She was wearing a white business suit dress, her hair done up, exuding a strong elite professional vibe.

Zhang Jingdong examined her carefully, then said: ”This looks great, but where’s the golden bracelet I gave you?”

Tong Xin obviously didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to notice such details and suddenly felt a bit guilty.

She had actually agonized over it for quite a while earlier but ultimately feared being found out by Yan Ning, as she had never worn anything so luxurious before, she worried Yan Ning would associate it with her and Zhang Jingdong.

Even though there was nothing substantial between them yet, she didn’t know why, but she still feared Yan Ning knowing.

Zhang Jingdong then said, ”What, afraid your Mr. Yan will find out?”

Tong Xin first shook her head, but then reluctantly nodded, ”...Yeah.”

Zhang Jingdong said casually, ”Don’t worry, even if she really finds out, she’ll only come after me and won’t give you trouble. I’ll handle everything, I promise!”

Seeing Tong Xin still hesitating, he added, ”Besides, even if she finds out, you’re still reasonable, right? This isn’t ordinary jewelry, it’s a magic artifact I crafted.”

”Don’t underestimate it, wearing it for a month is like me casting spells for three hours, and over time, you’ll feel its benefits. Go put it on!”

Tong Xin bit her lip, then turned and went to the bedroom.

Shortly after, she indeed came out wearing the golden bracelet.

Zhang Jingdong stepped forward, took her hand, inspected the bracelet, and said, ”Hmm! It’s truly beautiful!”

Maybe because she had just ”done something wrong,” or because she believed Zhang Jingdong merely wanted to admire the bracelet he gave her, but this time Tong Xin didn’t pull her hand away.

Zhang Jingdong felt a surge in his heart and admired it for a good half a minute before letting go of her hand, satisfied.

”Alright, let’s go.”

The two then left the apartment, took the elevator downstairs, and drove separately to the Maple Forest Building.

This time, Zhang Jingdong didn’t park his car downstairs but instead followed Tong Xin into the underground parking lot.

After they got out of the cars, Zhang Jingdong walked over to Tong Xin’s side.

Tong Xin looked around, then said to him, ”We... you go up first, I’ll come up later.”

Zhang Jingdong pouted: ”There’s no one around now, and we both drove separately, can’t we have a coincidental meeting?”

”Besides, you’re Mr. Yan’s secretary, and I’m her boyfriend. It’s only natural that we know each other!”

”But... no, please go quickly... I’m begging you!”

Catching the opportunity, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Alright, but don’t forget your punishment. When I text you later, you can reply late, but you must reply, or I’ll come upstairs to find you.”

Tong Xin, firstly, needed his help right now, and secondly, she truly feared he’d come upstairs looking for her.

Moreover, it was her punishment for losing.

So, after a slight hesitation, she nodded, ”Okay, don’t worry, I’ll accept my loss graciously, alright? Now go!”

Zhang Jingdong gave Tong Xin a deep look, suddenly tugged her hand, then turned and ran off.

Tong Xin watched his gradually receding figure, and a shy yet joyful smile secretly appeared at the corners of her mouth.
