Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1391: Chapter 529: Top-Level Master of Time Management!

Although Zhang Jingdong’s heart tightened, he still briskly walked into the room.

He closed the door with his foot, then followed Yan Ning into the living room.

Qin Yu came over looking all gloating. ”Boss Zhang, you really are a man with his heart set on the world, huh. Late at night like this, you leave two gorgeous girlfriends hanging, and instead go home with Mr. Yan’s secretary.”

”I know you meant well helping her out, but you still gotta watch the time, right?”

”Since it’s your first offense, I’ll let you off the hook for now, but with Mr. Yan, you’ve gotta show some attitude!”

As she spoke, she threw Zhang Jingdong a look.

Zhang Jingdong instantly got it, then said to Yan Ning, ”Mr. Yan, I was wrong. I meant well, but no matter what, I should’ve at least let you know in advance, right?”

Seeing his attitude wasn’t bad, Yan Ning deliberately paused, then said, ”So you finished checking Little Tong. What’s the result?”

Zhang Jingdong put on a mysterious face. ”Things aren’t over yet, so I can’t spell it out too clearly. Otherwise it won’t work. I can only say, I can handle her problem. Just relax.”

Yan Ning nodded thoughtfully. ”Then what’s the deal with Liu An?”

Hearing that, Zhang Jingdong immediately stopped feeling guilty. ”It’s just like I told you on the phone earlier. When Secretary Tong and I got out of the car and were about to take the elevator, we happened to bump into him.”

”He instantly decided I was cheating, then used that to threaten me, saying I had to leave you.”

At this point, Zhang Jingdong directly put his hand on Yan Ning’s fragrant shoulder. ”Mr. Yan, be honest. Does that guy like you or not?”

This time it was Yan Ning’s turn to feel guilty. ”He... I... Fine, I admit it. When he first came to the company, he did hint at that kind of feeling for me. But I made it clear right then I wasn’t interested... really!”

Zhang Jingdong deliberately said, ”But he’s just an employee. Even if he’s a vice president or whatever, how did he get the guts to confess to you?”

Yan Ning had no choice but to tell the truth. ”Here’s how it is. He used to be an executive at a state-owned enterprise. Back then our company landed a project with their company, and he was the one in charge of liaising with us. After a few rounds of contact, we got familiar.”

”Later the project wrapped up, and maybe a month or two after that, he suddenly contacted me saying he wanted to come work for our company.”

”I thought he was fairly capable, so I agreed, and he’s been here ever since.”

Zhang Jingdong thought quickly, then said, ”If that’s the case, maybe I shouldn’t have lost my temper today and made you fire him?”

”Why don’t you give him a call now and give him another chance? He kept saying after we hung up that he really didn’t want to leave your company.”

Of course, it wasn’t that Zhang Jingdong was soft-hearted; he just felt that instead of firing Liu An and then having to guard against him all day, it’d be better to keep him right under his nose, so he could pinch him whenever he wanted.

After all, Tong Xin still wasn’t his woman yet, so he couldn’t exactly assign bodyguards to her. If that bastard got cornered and did something extreme to her, it’d be a lot harder to deal with.

Plus, this way he could also earn some goodwill with Yan Ning. Two birds with one stone.

But Yan Ning thought Zhang Jingdong was testing her, so she shook her head right away. ”No need. Who told him to mess with my man? If he makes you not want to come to the company to see me anymore, then I’d be losing big time!”

Zhang Jingdong burst out laughing. ”You really think that?”

”Of course!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed out loud. ”Then keep him. Don’t worry, he’s nothing in my eyes. I’m not gonna let him affect my enthusiasm for sneaking into your company to steal kisses.”

”Besides, I already gave him a severe punishment today and vented my anger. And he’s still an executive at your company. I don’t want him affecting the operation of that branch over this.”

Yan Ning was moved by how he didn’t let personal feelings trump business. ”But he’s still a subordinate who once coveted me. You really don’t mind at all?”

Zhang Jingdong smiled freely. ”You really underestimate your man, huh? I told you before, I might be your boyfriend, but I’ll never hold back your career.”

”Forget him. Even if it’s for business and you have to meet Ye Zhinan alone, I still won’t say a word.”

Qin Yu spoke up. ”Exactly. You’ve already taken down his cousin. Even if you gave him a hundred guts now, he still wouldn’t dare lay a finger on Mr. Yan!”

Zhang Jingdong immediately wrapped his left arm around Qin Yu’s fragrant shoulder. ”Lawyer Qin, looks like I haven’t been bribing you enough. How about this, I’ll go to your firm another day and talk over the details of the new contract with you.”

Qin Yu instantly brightened. ”All right, since you’re being so sensible, I’ll completely forgive you today!”

Then she turned her head to Yan Ning. ”Mr. Yan, since Boss Zhang is being so loyal, why don’t we go reward him now?”

Yan Ning nodded with pleasure. ”Sure.”

So Qin Yu and Yan Ning each took one of Zhang Jingdong’s arms and led him into the master bedroom.

”Congratulations, Host, for successfully completing the teaching in a special environment. Reward: 2 million yuan!”

Because Yan Ning and Qin Yu were especially eager to learn, Zhang Jingdong felt very gratified as the ”teacher,” so he also taught with extra care.

Especially when he was explaining the ”molecular superposition” concept. Afraid the two of them wouldn’t get it, he went over it ten times.

Only when he saw that they both fully understood did he finally, looking very pleased, reward each of them with a bottle of Life One.

After the second big lesson ended, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Let’s turn in early tonight. I still have to go to the factory first thing tomorrow.”

”The clothing company is launching new items next week. I need to personally check the samples.”

Yan Ning and Qin Yu were both very satisfied with the ”class” just now, so they nodded happily.

”Okay.”

”...Mm.”

The three of them then went to the bathroom to wash up, and after that returned to the bedroom and each went to sleep.

An hour later, seeing that both women were sound asleep, Zhang Jingdong quietly slipped out of bed, grabbed his clothes, and left the bedroom.

He first went back to the Four Seasons Hotel to take a shower and change his outfit.

At almost three-thirty, he went downstairs, got in the car, and sent Tong Xin a text: Are you awake?

About half a minute later, Tong Xin replied: I’m already ready, I can go out anytime.

Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help but grin: Okay, I’m heading over now, twenty minutes tops.

Tong Xin: Mm.
