Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1381: Chapter 526: Forced Resignation

Liu An was a bit flustered this time.

Mainly because he didn’t expect Zhang Jingdong to actually dare to call Yan Ning.

After all, once the call was made, no matter what he said, Yan Ning would definitely know that he had followed her secretary home.

In Liu An’s understanding, Zhang Jingdong would highly value Yan Ning, who was such a perfect woman with looks, career, and connections, and would absolutely not dare to let her know of any betrayal.

But now Zhang Jingdong blatantly called Yan Ning, so while he was panicking, he had no idea how to handle it.

So he instinctively waved his hand: ”You go ahead, I want to see how you explain to Mr. Yan.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”In that case, you’d better watch carefully...”

As he spoke, he put the phone to his ear: ”Mr. Yan, here’s the thing. You know I’m good at reading palms and feng shui, and yesterday when I visited your company, I noticed some negative energy on your secretary Tong Xin.”

”Then I asked her if someone in her family had passed away recently, and she said her father had died not long ago, and then both her mother and grandmother fell seriously ill.”

”I happened to learn about this before and could help her ward off the disaster, so I mentioned it to her, and she believed me, so I left her my contact information.”

”Today I came with her to her house to help check the feng shui and provide some designs to bring good fortune and avoid misfortune.”

”But we ran into Liu An from your company in the parking lot, who also happened to live here. He thought I had something going on with Tong Xin and tried to use it to blackmail me into leaving you, never to see you again.”

Upon hearing this, Liu An became anxious: ”Mr. Yan, that’s not true, he’s lying!”

Zhang Jingdong chatted with Yan Ning for a few more sentences, then handed the phone to Liu An: ”Since you think I was lying just now, you can explain to Mr. Yan yourself.”

Liu An hesitated for a moment, then reluctantly took the phone: ”Mr. Yan...”

Just as he was about to speak, Yan Ning interrupted him directly: ”Wait a moment, let me ask you, did you just threaten Boss Zhang to leave me?”

Liu An originally wanted to tell Yan Ning all about Zhang Jingdong’s affair with Tong Xin. But hearing that Yan Ning asked if he had threatened Zhang Jingdong, and her tone was filled with obvious questioning, he was instantly baffled!

But since it was Yan Ning on the other end, he quickly reacted and hurriedly said, ”Mr. Yan, I was standing up for you! He dared to go behind your back and go home with another woman, and that woman is your secretary. Whatever he says to you, this is unforgivable...”

”Do I need you to tell me that? I just asked if you threatened him to leave me?”

”I... well, I... I did say that to him, but...”

”Let me ask you again, did you see them holding hands?”

”This... that, no, but they...”

”Did you see them kissing or hugging?”

”This... also no, but they were laughing and chatting!”

”I’m only asking whether you saw any intimate couple-like actions between them?”

”...No... no, but...”

”Alright, you don’t need to say anymore. I sent him to check the feng shui at Tong Xin’s house.”

”Wha... What!?”

Liu An, at this point, almost started doubting life, but he quickly thought of something and said, ”Mr. Yan, with your conditions, having so many excellent men pursuing you, why do you still defend him?”

”Liu An, do you not even believe what I say?”

”I... I don’t, it’s just that this feng shui thing sounds a bit too far-fetched, he’s the boss of the Dongsheng Group, how can he...”

”Who told you that a group company boss can’t also be a feng shui master part-time? Let’s put that aside. When did you move to Century Garden?”

Liu An’s heart instantly sank: ”I... I... I recently moved here... because it’s closer to our company, so...”

”Liu An, do you think I’m easy to deceive? Let me ask you one last time. If you still dare to lie to me, you don’t need to come to work tomorrow!”

Now Liu An was completely panicked.

He had previously resigned from a senior position at a state company, and if Yan Ning made him leave again, he would be completely finished.

”Mr. Yan I... fine, I admit, I moved here in March last year.”

”Did you deliberately approach Tong Xin?”

”I... this...”

”I’ll give you one last chance. Don’t hesitate. Tell me the truth quickly!”

”...Okay, I admit, I did deliberately approach Secretary Tong.”

”Did you inquire about me through her?”

”...Yes.”

”Liu An, do you remember what I reminded you of when you first joined the company?”

Yan Ning’s tone was nearly icy cold at this point.

”I... I remember.”

”Alright, then submit your resignation to my office tomorrow morning. I will fulfill the stock options I promised you for the subsidiary back then.”

Now Liu An was completely deflated.

He knew Yan Ning’s way of doing things. If he didn’t resign on his own tomorrow, he wouldn’t even get a dime of the stock options.

At this moment, he was utterly regretful!

He never imagined that even though he clearly got such a big handle on Zhang Jingdong, which he thought could be used to control him and ultimately make him leave Yan Ning completely.

In the end, he hadn’t anticipated that a single call would result in Yan Ning immediately dismissing him without distinguishing right from wrong.

Moreover, he felt that Yan Ning probably already suspected Zhang Jingdong of having an affair, yet she still refused to leave him.
