Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1396: Chapter 531: Beauties Ruin Your Waist!

Tong Xin shot him a glance, then exclaimed bashfully toward the distant mountains, ”I will!”

Just as she finished shouting, Zhang Jingdong rounded a large rock and found himself on a small path.

At this moment, they unexpectedly encountered two people coming toward them.

A middle-aged man and woman, both appearing in their forties or fifties, and clearly a married couple.

Seeing this, Tong Xin immediately buried herself in embarrassment against Zhang Jingdong’s back.

The husband laughed and said, ”Young man, you two are newlyweds, right?”

Zhang Jingdong replied casually, ”How did you know?”

”Haha, when we were newly married, we were just like you. But take a word from your elder brother: when you’re young, you must take care of your waist. If you hurt it, it could cause big problems.”

Just as Zhang Jingdong was about to respond, his wife shyly interjected, ”What are you talking about? Young man, don’t listen to his nonsense. He never carried me down the mountain when he was young.”

Zhang Jingdong instantly understood and said, ”There’s a saying, isn’t there? Yes, when you’re young, you should be reckless and romantic to the end. Otherwise, what will we have to remember when we’re old and can barely walk?”

”No need for you two to feel sentimental. Just looking at you both climbing the mountain at this age shows that your relationship can withstand the test of time.”

”I sincerely wish you both everlasting happiness and a long life together!”

The couple was amused by Zhang Jingdong’s words.

The woman said, ”You’re quite the speaker, young man. I wish you happiness in your new marriage and a lifetime together.”

”Thank you, ma’am, you both take care.”

Saying this, he moved past them swiftly.

As they passed by, Tong Xin had no choice but to greet the middle-aged couple with a shy nod.

The couple was taken aback and stunned by Tong Xin’s breathtaking beauty!

The woman quickly understood, as she thought Zhang Jingdong was handsome and emotionally intelligent, so naturally, his wife wouldn’t fall short.

The man, meanwhile, felt a mix of envy and concern for Zhang Jingdong’s back.

Everyone knows that beautiful women can be hard on the back!

But he was soon impressed by Zhang Jingdong’s speed carrying Tong Xin down the mountain.

Wow, looks like this young man is quite a natural talent, probably can keep it up until he’s fifty, not bad!

Half an hour later, Zhang Jingdong and Tong Xin reached the foot of the mountain.

Back in the car, Zhang Jingdong intentionally didn’t start the car immediately but instead turned to Tong Xin: ”Looks like we really have a couple’s vibe. People see us and assume we’re newlyweds instead of just a couple.”

Tong Xin blushed again: ”You... you’re not allowed to talk nonsense.”

Zhang Jingdong suddenly leaned in, staring deeply at her: ”I can stop talking nonsense, but don’t forget our bet, you have to accept the consequences today.”

Tong Xin bit her lip, trying to stay calm: ”...I’ve already said I’m not a sore loser.”

”Good, I knew I wasn’t wrong about you, you can take a joke!”

With that, he casually started the car and smoothly drove away from the spot.

It was still not even nine o’clock, and the road was empty.

Zhang Jingdong turned on the car stereo again, this time choosing Michael Jackson’s almost most famous song, ”Billie Jean.”

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene

I said don’t mind but what do you mean

...

Halfway through, Zhang Jingdong suddenly remembered a popular topic from later times, so he turned to Tong Xin: ”As a top student from Yanjing Foreign Language University, I have a question for you.”

Tong Xin seemed to have started getting used to Zhang Jingdong’s whims, so she said directly, ”Ask away?”

”Since you’re fluent in English, you must have listened to a lot of English songs and studied English lyrics, right?”

”...Yes.”

”Do you think our Chinese music lyrics are better, or are English lyrics better?”

Without much hesitation, Tong Xin said, ”Of course, our Chinese music lyrics are superior to English lyrics. Most of their lyrics are very simple, and even many famous songs have lyrics that are quite what’s the word... not up to our Chinese lyrics.”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to be curious: ”Really? Do you know what the lyrics of this very famous ’Billie Jean’ mean?”

Tong Xin, who liked Michael Jackson and had naturally studied this song, said, ”The lyrics of this song are also somewhat what’s the word. It’s actually about a man’s testimony in court.”

”The general idea is that at a party, the protagonist of the song was chosen by a woman named Billie Jean. They chatted happily, danced together, and then... went to the hotel.”

”After a while, Billie Jean suddenly sent the protagonist a picture, in which there was a child, claiming the child was his. The protagonist didn’t accept it, so Billie Jean took him to court.”

”The song repeatedly chants that Billie Jean is not my lover, it’s all her scheme.”

Zhang Jingdong suddenly realized: ”Haha, I see, it’s quite a twisted story. I didn’t expect such a famous song to tell a story about being framed.”

Saying this, he casually turned off the car stereo and said, ”Aside from English songs, who’s your favorite Chinese singer?”
