Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 1395: Chapter 531: Beauty on My Back!

Zhang Jingdong just wanted Tong Xin to start mentally preparing for this; he hadn’t planned on making her decide right now.

Seeing her fall into hesitation, Zhang Jingdong immediately said, ”You don’t need to rush into a decision. I won’t force you to decide anything.”

”Anyway, right now I can use my Cultivation Technique to help you. If in the future you really end up liking me, then we’ll be together.”

”And even if you don’t like me in the end, that’s fine too. When the time comes I’ll still do my best to help you.”

”Alright, it’s getting late, let’s head back.”

With that, he bent down again, signaling for her to get on his back.

Only then did Tong Xin finally snap out of it.

Just now she’d hesitated a bit, but in fact, deep down she had already made a certain decision.

Now, seeing Zhang Jingdong bend down, her first instinct was to say, ”No need, I’ll walk down myself,” but then she suddenly realized that if she really said that, in Zhang Jingdong’s eyes it would definitely be the same as rejecting him.

So she paused for two seconds, then ended up not saying anything at all and directly climbed onto Zhang Jingdong’s back.

Zhang Jingdong’s heart instantly leapt with joy, and he tightened his grip around her legs with both hands, then started walking down.

On their way up the mountain earlier, because he’d been in a hurry to see the beautiful view at the top, Zhang Jingdong had climbed very fast.

But now, on the way down, so he could spend a bit more time with Tong Xin, although he was still walking much faster than a normal person, for him it was only at about 0.4 speed.

Tong Xin naturally noticed this too. At first she thought it was because ”going up is easy, going down is hard,” but later she gradually realized this was probably on purpose.

Still, she didn’t say anything.

When they reached halfway down the mountain, Zhang Jingdong pretended to be a little tired and hitched Tong Xin up a bit higher, then said with a smile, ”Do you dare make a bet with me?”

Tong Xin was stunned for a moment, then hesitantly asked, ”...What kind of bet?”

”Just now I bounced you a little, and I want to guess how much you weigh. If the number I guess differs from your actual weight by less than half a jin, then I win. Otherwise, you win. How about it, dare to bet?”

Tong Xin’s cheeks flushed slightly. ”What’s the stake?”

”If I win, I get to make one small request of you. If you win, then you get to make one small request of me.”

Tong Xin blinked quickly. ”Your ’request’ isn’t very specific, you know?”

Zhang Jingdong sighed. ”As expected of a top-notch secretary, so rigorous. Alright then, I’ll spell mine out first. If I win, then after work today you’ll keep me company by texting and chatting with me. How about that, not too much to ask, right?”

First, Tong Xin felt that today not only had Zhang Jingdong carried her up the mountain, he’d also used the yang energy in his body to help her cultivate; second, she herself had said she’d properly repay him.

And now he was carrying her down the mountain again, so she felt she couldn’t turn him down.

So after hesitating slightly, she pursed her lips. ”...Alright.”

Seeing her agree, Zhang Jingdong was secretly overjoyed. ”Okay, then you tell me your request too.”

Tong Xin quickly thought it over, then said, ”My request is... from now on, don’t tell Mr. Yan about the things between the two of us.”

When Zhang Jingdong heard that, he wasn’t bothered in the slightest; instead, he understood that this might mean she’d made some kind of decision.

So he readily said, ”No problem, I promise you!”

”Alright, then I’m going to guess now...”

As he spoke, Zhang Jingdong bounced Tong Xin again, then pretended to make a random guess. ”I feel like you haven’t gone over 110 jin, but you’ve most likely passed 100 jin. Am I right?”

Now Tong Xin realized that although Zhang Jingdong was a master at fortune-telling, he didn’t seem to be a master at estimating weight. After all, this really was pretty hard.

So she replied with an easy smile, ”You did get the range right, but there are 10 numbers between 100 and 110 jin. It’s not going to be easy for you to hit the exact one!”

Zhang Jingdong nodded. ”Yeah, so now we’ll see if I get lucky with you today. But let me confirm one thing—if I really guess it right, you’ll have to accept the result and honor the bet, okay?”

At this moment Tong Xin also felt a strange little thrill, so she said, ”Of course. As long as you guess right, I’ll absolutely accept the result and honor the bet... and you have to as well!”

”Of course I’ll honor the bet...”

Zhang Jingdong pretended to think for a bit more, then said, ”Forget it, I’ve got no plan anyway, I’ll just throw out a random number and leave it up to fate. I’m guessing you weigh... 108.2 jin.”

”Well? Am I right?”

Tong Xin was instantly shocked by him again. ”You... you really just guessed randomly?”

Zhang Jingdong said righteously, ”You think this is something you can figure out just by bouncing someone in your hands a couple times?”

Tong Xin blinked quickly, thinking to herself that he had a point.

At this moment Zhang Jingdong looked delighted. ”What, don’t tell me I actually won?”

Tong Xin let out a breath. ”...Not only did you win, I weighed myself before going out today, and the scale showed exactly 108.2.”

Zhang Jingdong burst into laughter. ”Haha, looks like this really is fate!”

As he spoke, he turned his head and gave Tong Xin a long, deep look.

Tong Xin’s face flushed completely red.

But compared to earlier shyness, there was now clearly more ease and quiet happiness in her eyes.

All of a sudden, Zhang Jingdong turned his head toward the distant mountains and shouted loudly, ”Classmate Tong Xin, you have to honor the bet!”

His shout was full of energy and echoed through the whole valley.

Tong Xin clearly hadn’t expected this move from him; she found it quite funny, and, shy yet a bit coquettish, said, ”...I know, I will.”

Zhang Jingdong immediately shouted again at the distant mountains, ”Classmate Tong Xin, what did you say? I can’t hear you!”
