Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 190: Chapter 132 She Invites Him to Dinner (Large Chapter, Please Subscribe)

Zhang Jingdong saw Shu Ran getting a bit flustered due to shyness, and immediately said, ”Teacher Shu, people should learn to recognize their own beauty, especially for a great beauty like you.”

”If you’re always beautiful without knowing it, that would be such a pity!”

Seeing that the expression on Shu Ran’s face seemed to soften a bit, Zhang Jingdong continued, ”Looking at you like this, is this the first time you’ve ever dressed up like this?”

Shu Ran blushed and shot Zhang Jingdong a glare, ”What else?”

Zhang Jingdong burst into laughter at once, ”I’m truly honored to be the first to see you dressed up like this!”

Seeing Shu Ran’s complexion was about to change again, he hurriedly changed the subject, ”Alright, enough chit-chat, let’s play!”

Zhang Jingdong waved his badminton racket while saying, ”Teacher Shu, what do you think, do you dare to make a bet with me today?”

Although Shu Ran was a bit concerned, fearing this guy might propose something even more outrageous than wearing this outfit if he won, for some reason, she felt an inexplicable thrill.

Pursing her lips, she said, ”...how do you want to play?”

Seeing she took the bait, Zhang Jingdong said, ”Let’s do it this way, today I won’t attack your backcourt, and if I win, you must treat me to a meal at Tianfu First-class after the match is over.”

”And if you win, I’ll treat you. How about that?”

Anyone who has played badminton knows that if you give up sneaking attacks on your opponent’s backcourt, you would lose at least five or six direct points per game, especially when the opponent is also a high-level athlete.

Naturally, Shu Ran was aware of this and was about to agree subconsciously, but then she realized something was wrong and said coquettishly, ”If I win, I don’t want to have dinner with you!”

Zhang Jingdong smirked and said, ”Then what do you want to do with me? Surely you’re not thinking of doing with me...”

”You... what are you thinking? I don’t want to do anything with you!” Shu Ran was teased into a frenzy by Zhang Jingdong, ”If I win, you... I haven’t thought it through yet; we’ll talk after the match.”

The main reason Shu Ran felt that even with Zhang Jingdong giving her some advantage, she might still not win against him.

Zhang Jingdong pouted, ”Alright, but I am putting it here, I am absolutely serious when I play. If you win, whatever you ask me to do, I’ll do it—even if it’s washing this outfit for you, that’s totally fine!”

”Zhang Jingdong, are... are you out of your mind?”

Shu Ran originally wanted to scold Zhang Jingdong as a scoundrel, mainly because this guy had become more and more presumptuous in his speech in front of her.

But perhaps because he said it so often, she had developed some immunity and thus didn’t use such harsh words against him.

Besides, she just realized when she called Zhang Jingdong a ”scoundrel,” not only did he not get angry, but there was also an indescribable excitement in him.

Zhang Jingdong seemed to sense this and purposely teased her, ”Teacher Shu, everyone actually can have different ways of speaking in front of different people.”

”For example, when we are in front of our parents, we must be proper and in front of students, we must be strict, serious and careful with our words. When we’re with friends, we can relax and joke around.”

”But when you are dealing with a bad friend like me, because I am very accepting, you can be a bit more outrageous, you can even use some foul language.”

”Don’t be shy. In fact, we all have the need to use foul language sometimes. We’re always so careful in everything we do, so we need to let loose, we need to vent.”

”You can call me a scoundrel, a bad egg, shameless... really, I can take all of it. In my presence, you don’t need to suppress this aspect of your nature!”

Zhang Jingdong said all this because, in fact, although most women seem very virtuous on the surface, they actually like men who can continuously lower their standards.

This is what they say: a woman won’t love a man who is not ’bad’ enough.

Look, when a great beauty, who is very proper in front of others, can naturally curse in front of you, she has fundamentally accepted you in her heart.

On hearing this, Shu Ran was immediately defeated by Zhang Jingdong’s thick-skinned boasting.

Annoyed, she said, ”You... just stop talking, I’m not falling for your tricks!”

Zhang Jingdong thought to himself, let’s see if you fall for it after the game, when you’re treating me to a meal.

Then he said, ”Alright then, let’s cut the chatter, and start the game!”

After a brief warm-up, the two started today’s match.

In the first game, Zhang Jingdong lost 14:21 as he was getting used to the playing style.

In the second game, Zhang Jingdong put in 90% effort and repaid Shu Ran with a 21:10.

In the third game, Zhang Jingdong played a total of 10 smashes and won again by 21:15.

In the fourth game, Zhang Jingdong held back a little and played against Shu Ran to 18:18, then with three consecutive smashes, he won the next game and the match.

Zhang Jingdong then twirled his racket with a flourish: ”Teacher Shu, I’ll wait for you at the entrance later.”

Having said that, he turned and went to the changing room.

Shu Ran watched Zhang Jingdong’s figure receding into the distance, biting the corner of her mouth, feeling both shy and chagrined.

Now she wasn’t annoyed by losing the game anymore. What she didn’t understand at that moment was why, knowing that she was likely to lose to him, she still agreed to the bet.

Was it merely because she was afraid he would say she was too scared to bet with him?

And when he proposed the bet earlier, saying that if he won, she must treat him to a meal, she actually agreed quite naturally.

Shu Ran, oh Shu Ran, don’t you realize you’ve never had dinner alone with someone of the opposite sex? How are you going to handle this later?
