Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 187: Chapter 131 He’s Definitely Chasing You! (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)

Zhang Jingdong bought a house for Chen Lu and said such words to her because in his previous life, he had always dreamed of marrying a woman like Chen Lu.

She has impeccable beauty, an elegant figure, a mild temperament, gentle and considerate, embodying grace and purity, never competing or grasping for more.

Most importantly, she wasn’t overly dazzling like Lin Shishi, An Lu, Su Man and the others, giving people an inexplicable sense of security.

Although most men inherently tend to be fickle, in reality, many also long to experience the bliss of married life at times.

And since Zhang Jingdong is unlikely to marry in this lifetime, he wanted to experience the married life he couldn’t achieve in his past life with Chen Lu, who was his dream partner back then.

Five minutes later, the car slowly stopped at the sales office of Jinghu No.1.

Zhang Jingdong lifted Chen Lu’s delicate chin, kissed her small mouth and said indulgently, ”Go on, see you tomorrow!”

”Um, see you tomorrow.”

Chen Lu gave Zhang Jingdong a look full of endless love and then reluctantly got out of the car.

Watching Chen Lu enter the building, Zhang Jingdong then said to Long Yue, ”Let’s go to Tianfu First-class.”

After lunch, Zhang Jingdong initially wanted to go to Harem Hot Spring Club to relax, but as he passed a bar on Jinjiang Road, he asked Long Yue to stop the car.

He got out of the car, approached, looked at the sign ”The one”, and observed the ”Bar for Transfer” advertisement hanging on the door.

Then he took out his phone and dialed the number displayed.

Soon the call was answered: ”Hello!”

”Is this bar up for transfer?”

”Yes.”

”How much is it?”

”8 million.”

Zhang Jingdong hardly hesitated: ”I’m right near the bar now, could you come over? I’d like to check it out and if all is well, we can sign the contract immediately.”

”Alright...I’ll come right now!”

Zhang Jingdong wanted the bar because he knew about the bar’s development over the next decade and the story of its owner.

The bar’s owner, who just spoke with Zhang Jingdong, Wang Tao, is a true second-generation rich.

His father, Wang Ruocheng, is a well-known real estate boss in Jiangdu, reputed to have amassed a fortune of 2 billion yuan by 2000.

Wang Tao, the youngest and only son of Wang Ruocheng, was thoroughly doted on within his family.

At the age of 16, like many other wealthy heirs, Wang Tao was sent to study in the Beautiful Country.

His father’s intention was for him to learn business management, to directly join the family enterprise after graduation, and eventually take over his position.

However, this guy gradually lost interest in business management as he studied, but became increasingly fascinated by the nightclub culture in the Beautiful Country.

In his junior year, he and two classmates from the Beautiful Country opened a bar near their school, and it was quite successful.

So, when he returned to China in 2003 after graduating, he told his father that he didn’t want to join the family real estate company; he wanted to open bars.

His father indulged him, and secondly, thought it right to let his son experience the hardship of starting a business, so he gave him 20 million yuan as startup capital.

However, they agreed that if he made a profit within a year, he would be allowed to continue his business for two more years.

But if he spent all the 20 million yuan, then he would have to obediently return to the family company and work.

With the 20 million yuan, Wang Tao first bought a Ferrari for 3 million yuan, then invested 10 million yuan to open this ”The one” bar.

He originally thought that these days everyone was generally curious about foreign culture, so his bar, which was expensive and styled after American fashion, would definitely be a hit.

But like many others who impulsively started a restaurant or bar based on their own conjectures, since its opening in October last year, his bar had been losing money.

In the first two months, he thought this was normal, he should just step by step work on marketing, cultivate customers, and with persistence over half a year to a year, he could gradually build it up.

But by March this year, he couldn’t hold on anymore, as the money in his hands was nearing its end.

He even sold his Ferrari, but still couldn’t withstand the continuous losses of the bar.

So in April, he closed the bar and sought to transfer it.

He thought about selling the bar for seven or eight million yuan, or even five or six million yuan, then invest the money earned to open a small bar to properly hone his skills.

Once he understood how to profitably run a bar in China, he planned to use his own earnings to buy back his ”The one” bar and make a stunning comeback.

But what broke him again was that he felt his bar, having invested over ten million yuan and only operated for less than half a year with most things still new, should easily sell for seven or eight million yuan, at the very least five or six million yuan.

But the highest offer from inquiries over the phone was only 2 million yuan, which was obviously someone trying to snag a bargain.

In his previous life, Wang Tao tried to sell the bar for nearly half a year without success, so eventually, he simply decided not to sell and continued on his own.

He unspecifiedly acquired five million yuan, rumored to have borrowed from a friend turned adversary.

Additionally, there’s a saying, ”Dragons beget dragons, phoenixes beget phoenixes; the rat’s son can make holes,” and as the only son of the big boss Wang Ruocheng, Wang Tao somewhat inherited some of his father’s business genes.

Then he began exploring while toughing it out, and after enduring for more than half a year, he actually made the bar successful.
