Zhang Jingdong left the badminton hall with contentment.

Taking out his phone, he glanced at the time—it was past 5 o’clock.

He thought for a moment, then dialed Lin Xiran’s number.

The art school was less than a twenty-minute drive from here; he wanted to have dinner with her.

But after calling twice in a row, Lin Xiran didn’t answer.

Zhang Jingdong smiled, got into the car, and said, ”To Xinghui Music Company.”

”Okay.”

Song Yu swiftly maneuvered the car, which soon disappeared into the traffic flow.

On the way, Zhang Jingdong’s phone suddenly rang.

Glancing at the screen, it was Lin Xiran calling; he casually picked up: ”Hello...”

”Darling, I’m at the company doing an ad shoot, I didn’t have my phone on me just now. Where are you?”

”Perfect timing, I’m on my way to the company.”

”That’s great, I haven’t seen you for two days, I miss you so much!”

Listening to her tender voice filled with love, Zhang Jingdong’s heart stirred.

But since Song Yu was driving in front, he replied, ”Me too, but I’ll see you soon. Then I’ll treat you to a big meal.”

”Okay, I’ll wait for you!”

”See you soon.”

”See you soon.”

After hanging up, Zhang Jingdong’s lips unconsciously curved into a blissful smile.

Tsk tsk, dating the college beauty might be a bit childish, but it’s genuinely sweet!

Zhang Jingdong’s thoughts drifted to Lin Shishi again.

Since that night at the stadium where they sang together, it had been almost a week since he last contacted her.

According to the rhythm, it was time to find a reason to get in touch with her again in the next couple of days.

But what reason could he find?

Zhang Jingdong thought for a long while without coming up with anything; mainly because, compared to other girls, he couldn’t yet exercise his power of money on her.

Forget it, he would see when the time came. If it came to it, he would just be upfront; after all, she had some level of fondness for him, so asking her out shouldn’t be too hard.

Once he saw her, he would find a way to increase her affection for him.

Half an hour later, he arrived at the company.

Zhang Jingdong personally had someone develop the candid photos of Chen Xiaojiang and his child’s teacher that he took that afternoon. Afterward, he went to the set where Lin Xiran and her crew were shooting.

As expected, Lin Xirui was also on site.

They were shooting a beverage advertisement today, the general plot being a boy encountering the stunning twin sisters Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui on the street, and instantly his heart blossomed with joy.

To attract the sisters’ attention, he bought two bottles of a certain brand of beverage from a vending machine nearby, and ultimately succeeded in making the sisters stop.

Well, advertisements these days are just that straightforward and brash.

Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui had obviously done their makeup for the shoot, and both were dressed very fashionably. Looking around the entire set, it was truly hard not to be deeply attracted by these incredibly stunning sisters.

Zhang Jingdong even felt that even without any storyline, just having Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui each slowly finishing a bottle of the beverage in front of the camera would undoubtedly create a huge buzz.

Chen Hui was the producer and music director of this advertisement; upon seeing the boss arrive, he rushed over to greet him.

”Boss, you’re here!”

Zhang Jingdong nodded: ”How are they doing with the shoot?”

”Extremely well. Although neither of them has done advertisements before, they are after all art students. With a little guidance, they get it quickly.”

”This ad was originally planned to be shot over five days, but at this rate, it can be done in at most three days.”

Zhang Jingdong replied agreeably: ”Hmm... that’s good!”

”The shooting over there might still take about two hours. We have some samples already shot; would you like to take a look?”

”Sure.”

Zhang Jingdong then followed Chen Hui to the monitors.

After watching the sample clips for a while, Zhang Jingdong couldn’t help sighing that Lin Xiran and the others were really too photogenic; they looked even more beautiful and lively on video than in the photos.

Zhang Jingdong felt that if there was a chance to feature them in a movie in the future, even for just a few seconds, they would definitely leave a very strong impression on the audience.

And with that thought in mind, Zhang Jingdong’s mind began to wander.

Now that he already owned a music company that was equivalent to an entertainment company, why not start a movie company in the future?

Those female stars are so lonely!

In the future, as the boss, he could not only win their hearts by making them famous but also make money off them. Why not?

Moreover, this would also create opportunities for Su Man and others, fulfilling the promises he had made to them.

Thinking this, Zhang Jingdong turned to Chen Hui and said, ”Mr. Chen, I have something to discuss with you.”

Seeing Zhang Jingdong’s serious tone, Chen Hui hurriedly said, ”What’s up? Just tell me.”

Zhang Jingdong proceeded: ”I think since our company’s business is no longer just in the realm of music, why don’t we make it a comprehensive entertainment company?”

”We have mature music and advertising businesses now, and on this basis, we could also develop other lines of business, like film, talent management...”

Chen Hui nodded thoughtfully, showing that he was listening intently.

Zhang Jingdong continued: ”Even though there will be more lines of business, for entertainment companies like ours, there are essentially two key things: one is to produce good works, mainly music and movies, because once these works become hits, they can instantly give our company huge influence in the industry.”

”The other is the artists; you’re a veteran in the industry, you should know what a highly popular artist means for an entertainment company.”
