Forcing Me to Be a Godly Tycoon, Right?

Chapter 167: Chapter 124: He Actually Took Them Both Down! (Large Chapter, Please Subscribe)_3

”What you’re saying sounds a bit dreamy, but it actually makes a lot of sense. Alright, I’ll listen to you!”

While the three of them were chatting enthusiastically, someone not too far away was so furious he was practically about to explode on the spot.

His name is Chen Xiang, a junior at the East River Film and Television School’s acting department, and also the male lead in this advertisement.

In fact, because his uncle is the deputy director of the advertising department at the East River TV Station, he has been the male lead in most of Xinghui Music Company’s advertisements this past year.

Today, as soon as he saw Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui on set, he was instantly stunned by their beauty and charm!

He secretly vowed to himself that he must pursue one of them to be his girlfriend, and then, taking advantage of their nearly identical looks, get close to the other one.

If he could end up playing both sides with these gorgeous twin sisters, he would feel his life well-lived!

He initially thought it might be difficult, but relying on his own good looks and family background, plus having successfully charmed the female leads in his commercials twice before, he was sure he could achieve his goal during these three days of shooting.

But to his surprise, just when he sought an opportunity to get closer to them under the pretext of being the male lead and they the female leads, to exchange feelings, they both treated him very coldly.

Especially Lin Xiran, she didn’t even give him a single glance.

And at this moment, it was they, this pair of gorgeous sisters, who were simultaneously showing attentiveness to Zhang Jingdong!

Especially Lin Xiran, who just earlier was extremely aloof, actually hugged Zhang Jingdong in front of everyone just now, and at this moment was hanging on his shoulder like a human accessory.

Though it would be one thing if she did this, considering their relationship, he might be her boyfriend.

But even Lin Xirui was extremely attentive to him, and it was far beyond the care shown for a sister’s boyfriend.

Aside from the occasional exchanges of glances between them, Chen Xiang also saw Zhang Jingdong once nudge Lin Xirui’s jade leg with his foot.

This scene might not raise any suspicions for someone else, but as someone who has watched no less than a hundred family-- ”ethical” films, Chen Xiang immediately sensed the ambiguity between them.

At this point, he even believed that Zhang Jingdong had possibly already achieved his own ultimate fantasy: he might have already won over both of these exquisite sisters!

Thinking of this, he suddenly envied and resented Zhang Jingdong to the extreme!

What’s more, in his eyes, even though Zhang Jingdong looked quite handsome, at most he was only on par with himself!

And if we’re talking about capability, his uncle is the deputy director of the TV station’s advertising department, his parents own a factory, and he is the male lead who gets to act alongside Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui in the advertisement.

If this guy was anything special, he definitely would be acting in the commercials with them by himself, so he’s surely average in talent, just happened to know these exceptional sisters sooner than he did.

With this in mind, Chen Xiang walked straight up, glanced at Zhang Jingdong, then said to Lin Xiran, ”Ranran, this is a key filming area, we can’t allow just anyone to come in!”

Lin Xiran already had a mediocre impression of him, and upon hearing this, she retorted petulantly, ”He’s not a nobody, he’s my boyfriend!”

”Plus, I’ve already told you, we’re not close, so please call me by my full name!”

Chen Xiang was clearly shocked that Lin Xiran would be so rude to him all for the sake of her boyfriend.

He also realized that he probably no longer had any chance with Lin Xiran and her sister.

Out of jealousy and frustration, he decided he wouldn’t indulge them anymore: ”Lin Xiran, I don’t care who he is, if he stays here he’ll affect my performance. If you don’t ask him to leave, I’ll go to the director right now!”

”Do you think just because you’re pretty, you can do whatever you want on set? There are plenty of beautiful people around, we can replace you at any time if you don’t want to shoot!”

Chen Xiang felt he had the right to say this.

Besides his uncle being the deputy director of the advertising department at East River TV Station and a close friend of Chen Hui, the head of the advertising company, he had shot more than ten commercials with this production team in the last year and was very familiar with some of the key staff like the director and the photographer.

He believed that if something really went wrong, the director and Chen Hui would surely protect him.

Zhang Jingdong initially didn’t react much to Chen Xiang’s first comment, thinking he was just another admirer of Lin Xiran and her sister.

But now this kid actually dares to snap at Lin Xiran and the others, he instantly couldn’t stand it anymore.

He then said: ”Who are you? What gives you the right to say that?”

Chen Xiang said imperiously: ”Because I’m the male lead in this commercial!”

Zhang Jingdong smiled and nodded: ”Oh... so that’s how it is, no wonder you talk so big!”

Hearing this, Chen Xiang thought Zhang Jingdong was backing down and was about to taunt him some more, but then he noticed him suddenly gesturing someone over.

Chen Xiang subconsciously turned his head to look and saw Chen Hui quickly approaching them, then speaking to Zhang Jingdong with extreme deference: ”Boss, what are your orders?”

Chen Hui really didn’t need to be so exaggerated, but because this was in front of the two great beauties, Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui, he knew he must show his boss due respect.

Chen Xiang, witnessing this scene, was immediately stunned!

He stared blankly for a full three seconds before hesitatingly asking: ”Uncle Chen, he... he is your... boss?”

Upon hearing this, and seeing Chen Xiang’s expression at that moment, Chen Hui immediately guessed something and spoke solemnly: ”Yes, he is the big boss of our company now!”

At this moment, Zhang Jingdong glanced at Chen Xiang, couldn’t be bothered with him, and said directly to Chen Hui: ”Replace him, find someone else, let’s reshoot tomorrow!”

Although Chen Hui didn’t know what had happened, he did know that Zhang Jingdong was not someone who got angry easily.

Yet Zhang Jingdong had just spoken in a seemingly calm but actually furious tone, clearly indicating that he had indeed become angry at Chen Xiang over something just now.

Chen Hui knew that if he offered even one word in explanation for Chen Xiang, it would infuriate Zhang Jingdong.

So, between provoking Zhang Jingdong and Chen Xiang, he scarcely hesitated in choosing the latter.

Thus, he simply said: ”Alright.”

Chen Xiang now fully realized what was happening, and a thought instantly popped into his head: he must not lose this job.

Firstly, his acting skills were mediocre, and he only started getting some small roles in TV dramas due to the fame from the commercials he’s shot in the past year.

Secondly, although his parents ran a paint factory, the factory only netted a profit of one to two million a year, so his allowance was merely seven to eight thousand a month.

While this sum might be a lot for the average person, it was completely inadequate for his expenses.

Also, since last year, he had made three to four hundred thousand from those dozen plus commercials.

With this money, he had been living large for over half a year, so he definitely didn’t want to lose this source of income.

As the saying goes, ’A true man can bend and stretch,’ so at this moment, he gave the best acting performance he had ever learned.

He slightly bowed his head, the arrogance on his face now replaced with humbleness, even a hint of earnest fear: ”Boss, so... sorry, I didn’t know that you...”

Zhang Jingdong interrupted directly: ”Don’t speak, if you were only against me just now, then I could let it go considering the hard work you’ve put into shooting for our company.”

”But your mistake was in disrespecting my woman, and that is something I can never forgive!”

Upon hearing these words, Chen Xiang’s face went ashen.

Meanwhile, the eyes of Lin Xiran and Lin Xirui both lit up.

”Congratulations Host for gaining 10 points of goodwill from the target character, rewarded with 20000 yuan!”

”Congratulations Host for gaining 10 points of goodwill from the target character, rewarded with 20000 yuan!”

Zhang Jingdong felt pleased, then he drew Lin Xiran closer by her fragrant shoulder and left the set with the twin beauties.
