Chapter 185: Chapter 130 Start with Her Family to Get Her (Long Chapter, Please Subscribe)_2

Zhang Jingdong saw that Yan Zifeng was stunned by his words and took the opportunity to say: ”Do you want to go to West University? Or to be more realistic, do you want to score forty or fifty points higher than you are now in the college entrance exam?”

Yan Zifeng instantly snapped back to reality and subconsciously said: ”Of... Of course, but... there’s only a little over a month left until the college entrance exam, how... how is that possible?”

”I also studied science subjects, and your mock exam score of 541 shows that you have the brains for it.”

”And if you have the brains but still didn’t score above 600, it’s likely because you’re weak in some subjects, right?”

As soon as Zhang Jingdong said this, Yan Zifeng and Yan Ning exchanged glances, then their expressions were even more shocked than when they first heard Zhang Jingdong’s bragging.

Although Yan Zifeng was quite proud deep down, he had always respected those who were more capable than himself under Yan Ning’s influence and teaching.

So upon hearing Zhang Jingdong’s words, he immediately changed his attitude.

He nodded earnestly: ”Yes, my Comprehensive Science, Chinese, and English are okay, it’s just that my Math is weaker.”

”How many points did you get for Math in your last mock exam?”

Yan Zifeng hesitated slightly, then said: ”...48.”

Zhang Jingdong said cheerfully: ”Our scores are similar, I scored 148 in Math in last year’s college entrance exam.”

”Here’s the deal, if you’re willing, for the next month and a half, every Saturday and Sunday night from 7 to 9, I’ll tutor you for two hours.”

”I guarantee that by the time of the college entrance exam, you’ll score at least 90 points, how about that?”

Upon hearing this, Yan Zifeng knew that Zhang Jingdong was truly willing to help him and quickly nodded: ”I... I’m willing, thank you... thank you!”

Zhang Jingdong curled his lip: ”You should thank your aunt for my help; she really helped me out last time, and I owe her a favor.”

”To be honest, if it wasn’t for that, I probably wouldn’t have offered to help you on my own initiative since it’s both time-consuming and comes with responsibility.”

”But I’ve always disliked owing favors, so rest assured, I’ll do my utmost here!”

Although Zhang Jingdong said this, in reality, he had offered to tutor Yan Zifeng because after observing the interactions between the three of them, he deduced they must be living together long-term.

Although he didn’t know why, just by looking at Yan Ning’s eyes and body language when dealing with the two kids, she was certainly spending a lot of time with them, especially on weekends.

If he could become Yan Zifeng’s weekend tutor, then he would have legitimate reasons to see Yan Ning often and then find an opportunity to make a move on her.

And though Yan Ning felt today’s events were a bit surreal and realized Zhang Jingdong’s actions were not solely out of repaying a favor, she truly longed for any improvement in Yan Zifeng’s grades.

In fact, Yan Zifeng’s imminent college entrance exam was currently her greatest concern.

She had previously employed several math tutors for Yan Zifeng, but none had managed to improve his Math score.

Now, not only did Zhang Jingdong volunteer, but he also guaranteed a forty to fifty points improvement in Yan Zifeng’s Math within just over a month, so she was willing to give it a try no matter what.

Moreover, Zhang Jingdong not only excelled in fighting like Bruce Lee, he was an exceptional student from West University, and had made tens of millions in less than a year, so Yan Ning believed he might truly create another miracle for Yan Zifeng.

Thinking of this, Yan Ning sincerely said: ”Jingdong, thank you for your willingness to help.”

”Host has received sincere gratitude from the target person, rewarded with 100,000 yuan!”

”I won’t insist on a forty to fifty points improvement; even if you could make him score ten or so points higher, I would be content and certainly thank you properly!”

Zhang Jingdong said casually: ”I’ve already said that it’s to repay the favor I owe you, so no need to thank me... Let’s not talk about this now, let’s wait until I’ve delivered on my promise.”

He felt the timing was about right, then said: ”Alright, I have other things to attend to, let’s leave the conversation here for now. Tomorrow’s Saturday, does he live here?”

Yan Ning nodded: ”That’s right.”

Zhang Jingdong felt a thrill but kept a calm demeanor: ”Then, I’ll see you tomorrow night.”

For some reason, Yan Ning’s face blushed again slightly: ”See you tomorrow night.”

Yan Zifeng also humbly changed from his previous arrogance: ”Mr. Zhang, see you tomorrow night!”

Zhang Jingdong laughed heartily: ”Quite polite, aren’t you? Alright, see you tomorrow night!”

Having said that, he turned and left and got into his nearby Land Rover Range Rover.

Yan Zifeng watched Zhang Jingdong settle into the driver’s seat, then took another look at the brand-new Range Rover and was thoroughly convinced of Zhang Jingdong’s capabilities.

After the car drove away, Yan Zifeng turned to Yan Ning and said: ”Aunt, he really is amazing, isn’t he?”

Yan Ning involuntarily recalled their last encounter and rarely sighed: ”He’s probably even more impressive than you think. You’ll understand once you interact with him.”

It was the first time Yan Zifeng saw Yan Ning praising someone so much, especially someone as young as Zhang Jingdong, and he earnestly said: ”I will definitely become someone like him in the future.”

Yan Ning gradually withdrew her gaze and with a face full of satisfaction, she said: ”Then you must learn well from him!”

Yan Zifeng nodded vigorously: ”Yes, I definitely will.”

...

Following Zhang Jingdong’s directions, Long Yue steadily parked the car in front of Villa No. 16.

The three of them got out and went inside.

Zhang Jingdong originally planned to briefly check the renovation progress and then go find Chen Lu at the sales office to idle away some time, but he didn’t expect to see her as soon as he walked through the door.
