The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1248: Unification of Vanko and Reem

The most powerful beings from both lands converged, racing toward the same location. A strange, oppressive pressure hung in the air, as if a divine decree had just been issued. Every being sensed it: if they failed to act, it would already be too late.

The cores of both Vanko and Reem trembled violently, energy surging chaotically through the lands as if the very foundations of reality were reacting.

Above the castle of the Rank 23 Sovereign, Souta opened his eyes, sharp and unyielding.

”The preparation is complete.”

The moment the words left his lips, the trembling intensified, sweeping across every inch of Vanko and Reem. The dream power sustaining the lands quivered uncontrollably; the floating islands shook, lightning surged like wild rivers, and structures cracked under the pressure.

It was as if space itself teetered on the edge of collapse.

Ohm!!

Energy cascaded from Souta, a godlike aura that reverberated through the skies, through the lands, and into the hearts of every living being. The air itself seemed to warp under his presence, charged with a power that brooked no resistance.

...

In the distance, a lone figure raced toward the Blue Lightning Region. His ash-colored skin shimmered faintly, long white hair flowing behind him, and his eyes, pale as unlit ice, scanned the horizon with urgency.

He was a Sovereign of the Land of Vanko, one of the few beings entrusted with ruling an entire region. His name was Sovereign Tyrin.

Though a Sovereign, his position was modest in the hierarchy. The Land of Vanko was dominated by monsters; all the top-ranking Sovereigns were fierce beasts, incomparably powerful. Tyrin and his fellow demi had been oppressed for generations, forced to carve out alliances and defend their lands with cunning and resilience.

Now, something unprecedented was unfolding, and he could sense it from miles away.

Tyrin pushed his body to the limit, dashing across the fractured terrain toward the Blue Lightning Region.

”What... is happening?!”

He could feel it in the core of the Land of Vanko, the heartbeat of the realm itself. The dream power sustaining the land quivered violently, as if something massive and unstoppable was pressing down on it.

’Is this some scheme from the bastards of Reem?’ he thought, tension tightening his chest.

But the disturbance wasn’t localized. It rippled through every region of Vanko, the tremors growing stronger with each passing second.

Then, Tyrin stopped abruptly.

It wasn’t only Tyrin who froze. Every living being in both Vanko and Reem halted mid-motion, heads tilting upward in unison.

Above them, an entire moon had appeared, suspended impossibly in the sky over the Land of Vanko.

”This...” Tyrin whispered, eyes widening in shock.

Neither Vanko nor Reem had moons. None. And yet now, one hung ominously above the lands, radiating a cold, unnatural light that made the air itself feel heavy.

Then, without warning, a tremendous force descended from the moon. It collided with the very cores of Vanko and Reem. The impact rippled through the lands, and every being beneath it, except the Sovereigns, was thrown to their knees, struggling to breathe under the crushing pressure.

The Sovereigns, however, were summoned.

Tyrin and his fellow rulers found themselves standing on an immense platform hovering above the Land of Vanko. The moon loomed directly overhead, bathing everything in its eerie glow.

”Where... are we?”

”Were we... transported by the cores?!”

Tyrin’s gaze swept across the platform. He recognized the Sovereigns of Reem, equally bewildered and alarmed.

It can’t be their doing, he concluded immediately. The confusion mirrored his own so this was no plan of Reem’s.

Then, he turned his head and his body trembled involuntarily.

Floating above them all, looking down with a presence that seemed to crush the air itself, was a humanoid figure.

He knew this being.

And he knew the terror it brought.

A few months ago, before Reem collided with Vanko, chaos had rocked the Land of Vanko. Multiple Sovereigns had fallen in that conflict, and new rulers had risen to take their place. Even the mightiest among them, the Rank 1 Sovereign, had perished.

And now, the being who had claimed that position had returned.

’He’s back...’ Tyrin thought, his heart tightening.

Above them all, Souta hovered in the air, eyes sweeping over every Sovereign of Vanko and every Ruler of Reem. None dared to meet his gaze directly. Only the Reem leaders, unacquainted with his true strength, could mistake him for a regular opponent.

”Let me make this clear,” Souta said, his voice calm but carrying the weight of absolute authority. ”Everyone will follow my rules in this land. The combined territories of Vanko and Reem will now be mine.”

He paused, letting his words sink in. His gaze was sharp, unyielding. He knew the others would not submit without understanding the true scale of his power.

”You have been summoned by the cores of both lands,” he continued, voice steady and deliberate. ”They resist me because I am reshaping them. This is your only chance. If you wish to reject my authority, speak now. Otherwise, silence will be taken as consent to live under my rule.”

Every word carried weight. Every syllable seemed to bend the very air around them. Tyrin and the other Sovereigns felt it deep in their bones: the land itself, the dream power that sustained it, quivered under Souta’s control.

No one moved. No one spoke.

They all understood, without a single demonstration, exactly what kind of being they were dealing with.

The beings from both lands were stunned into silence.

Reshaping...

The word echoed in their minds. Once complete, this meant the combined territories of Vanko and Reem would be entirely under his control. Souta would be the undisputed ruler.

After a few seconds,

From the ranks of Reem, the strongest stepped forward. A towering humanoid, three meters tall, with brown skin, four arms, and three pairs of eyes that glowed faintly. He exuded a terrifying presence, a fifth-stage monster known as the Nightmare Conjurer.

No one from Reem could tell what he intended. Some braced for rebellion, while others feared that this act might decide the fate of their land.

Souta’s eyes narrowed slightly as he observed the creature. The Rank 1 Sovereign had been a fifth-stage monster, too, and he had refused to submit. Souta and Kessa had eliminated him without hesitation.

A tense silence stretched over the platform.

Then, to the shock of everyone watching, the Nightmare Conjurer sank to his knees. His four arms bowed low, his multiple eyes fixed on Souta.

”I submit... to the Emperor of Monsters,” he declared, his voice resonant and unwavering.

Souta showed a faint smile to cross his face. ”As expected. A fifth-stage monster like you can sense the difference. My status now carries a weight that cannot be ignored.”

A subtle shift swept through the gathered Sovereigns and rulers. Where before, monsters might have hesitated, now many would begin to consider allegiance. Yet Souta knew it wouldn’t guarantee complete obedience. Some would still resist, either out of pride or fear but the tide was already turning.

The declaration had been made. His presence, his power, and now his status as a fifth-stage monster demanded recognition.

More monsters would likely to follow him now compared to when he was a fourth stage monster. They would likely follow him but this wouldn’t guarantee that every monsters would follow him.

The sight of the Nightmare Conjurer kneeling before Souta sent shockwaves through everyone present.

The beings of Reem, witnessing their strongest bowing to an unknown figure, were paralyzed with confusion and disbelief. Whispers rippled among them, but none dared act.

”Time is up,” Souta’s voice cut through the tension, calm and absolute. ”It seems no one will defy me. Then...”

He lifted his gaze, eyes fixed on the artificial moon hanging above the lands, and his body slowly ascended toward it. ”Shall I unify these two lands now? Well... look forward to it.”

The Sovereigns of both Vanko and Reem could only stare, powerless. Souta hovered beneath the moon, its pale light casting an eerie glow over him. Below, the southern edges of Vanko and Reem pressed against each other, yet resisted fully merging. Dream energy from both lands surged chaotically, manifesting strange phenomena. Lightning twisting into jagged ribbons across the sky, rivers of energy forming and dissolving, entire sections of terrain fluctuating between solidity and nothingness.

Souta’s expression was calm, but the aura around him was overwhelming.

”Well, then.”

In a heartbeat, he unleashed a tremendous wave of energy.

Ohm!!

His [Douion IV] flared to its limit, manifesting as an enormous, swirling vortex of elemental energy. Waves of power radiated outward, crashing across both lands simultaneously. Mountains trembled. Floating islands rocked violently. Lightning struck unpredictably across the collision zone, igniting bursts of fire and rifts of dream energy that tore through the unstable terrain.

Every Sovereign, every monster, every being beneath him felt the crushing magnitude of his power. The lands themselves shivered, bending to his will. The unification of Vanko and Reem had begun and nothing could stop it.
