The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1236: New Abilities

The King spoke slowly, recounting everything he knew about the history of the Land of Fire Light.

The language spoken in the present era, he explained, had been heavily influenced by the Highnun Empire, a formidable power that once existed far beyond the Land of Fire Light.

Long ago, a small number of Highnun people had arrived here by accident. Yet even in such limited numbers, their impact had been profound. They reshaped culture, altered language, and established a powerful organization within the land before eventually fading into obscurity.

Souta listened in silence as the King unraveled the fragments of history he possessed.

Truly, this land was steeped in an ancient and layered past. So much knowledge had once been preserved but most of it had likely been erased by the calamity.

Even without knowing the full history, the King’s words offered Souta valuable insight. Still, nothing was certain.

The information neither fully confirmed nor denied that the Land of Fire Light was truly Australia of Planet Earth. The possibility remained especially given the echoes of familiar names and concepts but doubt still lingered.

And if this land truly originated from Earth...

Then the gap between the moment Souta vanished from Earth and the time he awakened in the Imperium within this body was far greater than he had imagined. If his assumptions were correct, that gap predated even the Highnun Empire, an era older than the extinction of the Vajra Race.

Then... what about the Ieshi Clan?

The question surfaced unbidden, knotting his thoughts.

Souta felt a deep sense of confusion. He was acutely aware that countless pieces of the truth were still missing, scattered across time and buried beneath layers of erased history.

The two of them continued their discussion for over an hour. When it finally ended, Souta rose from his seat, offered the King a respectful farewell, and left the room.

Without hesitation, he headed toward the most desolate region of the Land of Fire Light.

...

Souta stood atop the mountain, his eyes scanning the emptiness below. No life stirred. No birds, no insects, no distant echoes of movement. It was as if the land itself had been abandoned by existence.

”I managed to save Saya’s fragments,” he said quietly. ”Now... I must find a way to restore her spirit.”

He set the goal in his mind with a calm certainty that chilled him more than any battle ever had.

Saya’s condition was beyond critical. He had tried every method he knew, and each one failed. The only reason she still existed was the lingering influence of the Divine Rainbow Serpent. Its power acting as a fragile tether between her and oblivion. Without it, she would have already dissolved into nothing, leaving behind no trace.

For now, stabilizing her condition was all that mattered.

Souta turned his attention inward, measuring his own strength. He had reached the Fifth Evolution Stage. The next threshold was the Monster Lord, a step that would change everything.

He lifted a single finger toward the sky.

Energy began to gather at the tip, but it was not the usual glow of power. The air around it darkened as if the world itself recoiled. The energy spiraled into a vortex, twisting with a slow, deliberate grace like a storm forming in reverse.

The space around him trembled.

The mountain beneath his feet shuddered as if sensing the presence of a powerful being.

Then, without warning, he unleashed it.

A beam of light erupted from his finger, but it was not light in any ordinary sense. It was a rending force of pure, jagged, and hungry. The air screamed as the beam tore through it, leaving a trail of distorted reality in its wake.

He fired [Bestrou].

The sky split.

BOOM!!

The clouds did not simply disperse. They were shredded—ripped apart by an invisible force. The sound that followed was not a sound so much as a pressure wave that slammed into the land, forcing the silence to tremble in fear.

Souta watched the aftermath with detached certainty. The attack left a scar in the air, a lingering distortion that made the air feel wrong for seconds afterward like the world had been violated.

His power was beyond an initial fifth evolution stage monster.

He knew, with a cold clarity, that even in his normal form he could kill Yin, the fifth-stage monster he had once defeated alone.

His normal form alone was already stronger than any initial fifth-stage monster he had ever encountered.

He was an Eternal Eclipse Primordian, a path of The Emperor that carried the force of the moons themselves. Saya had never been able to fully manifest it, because her consciousness was not the one the path followed. Her will had no control over the moons, and thus she could never access the body’s full potential.

The first change was obvious: his [Monster Force III] had evolved into [Monster Force Ultimate]. The same trait the No God Emperor had used to anchor his will within Yenxa’s body. He had forcibly evolved her, granting her this very ability.

[Monster Force Ultimate (Lord)]: +800 Strength, +600 Agility, +600 Dexterity, +500 Vitality, +50% Physical Damage, +50% Energy Damage, +10% Power of Laws

Souta studied the details of the trait carefully. It was a Lord-level ability, a trait that should only be attainable after a monster became a Monster Lord. Even on its own, this upgrade made him stronger than ordinary initial fifth-stage monster.

The most significant boost was the +10% Power of Laws, a stat that made the trait exceptionally dangerous. He was already tapping into this power now that he had reached the fifth stage.

He was incredibly fortunate to obtain it when he used his card on the Underground King. The chances of acquiring [Monster Force] were extremely low, especially since Monster Lords already possessed countless skills.

Yenxa’s potential with this trait had been enormous. Unfortunately... she was gone.

Next, his [Night Vision] had evolved into [Primordian Eyesight]. Most of its effects weren’t new to him, since his [Galaxy Eyes] could already perform many of the same functions.

However, [Primordian Eyesight] possessed two abilities that the [Galaxy Eyes] could not match.

The first was the Ocular Skills, a special eye based techniques. Any eye skill he used would receive a 50% enhancement due to the [Primordian Eyesight].

The second was far more important: it served as the activation trigger for his Primordian power, allowing him to fully utilize all of his other traits.

The [Primordian Eyesight] was undeniably powerful. It was a Lord-level trait, after all.

But the third transformation was even more impressive.

His [Extraordinary Body] had transformed into [Imperial Ultima Body], and right now, it was more useful than his eyesight.

[Imperial Ultima Body (Lord)]: +5,000 Health, +800 Vitality, +100 Health Recovery

Souta read the details carefully and felt the full weight of its potential.

Even without a parasite, this trait allowed him to regrow severed limbs. Not only that, any severed limb could become a clone of himself. The clone’s power depended on the mass of the severed limb with a maximum of one-fifth of his normal form.

This was a trait of terrifying scale.

Why?

Because the clones could use his skills too.

”It’s... too good,” Souta murmured.

He glanced at his hand. Then, without hesitation, he swung it down and severed it cleanly.

Blood sprayed into the air as the hand fell to the ground.

Thud!

Souta watched, waiting.

In the next moment, the severed hand began to change. Flesh twisted and reformed, growing rapidly. Within seconds, it became a small clone of him, no taller than two feet.

The tiny replica stood upright, eyes blazing with fierce intensity, as if its power had been awakened from a long sleep.

”Attack,” Souta ordered.

The clone didn’t hesitate. It lunged forward like a beast unleashed, its restraint shattered.

A violent surge of force erupted from it, smashing the land beneath its feet. The air trembled as blood spears launched toward Souta with brutal speed.

Souta lifted his hand and flicked a finger through the air.

The attack was destroyed in an instant.

Bang!!

The clone was blasted away, soaring kilometers through the sky before crashing into a distant mountain with a thunderous impact.

A faint smile appeared on Souta’s face.

”This is incredible,” he said. ”It can even use released forms and Douion. It’s weaker than me, but it’s still an excellent trait.”

He stared at the clone’s ruined body for a moment, then looked up at the sky.

There was a lot of things that he could do with this trait. Of course, there was limitation but it was still an incredible trait.

Moving on.

Aside from [Monster Force Ultimate], [Imperial Ultima Body], and [Primordian Eyesight], all of his other traits and trait skills had reached their maximum levels. They would evolve into Lord-level abilities once he became a Monster Lord.

One of them was [Higher Lifeform Suppression].

This trait was a natural power that monsters gained upon reaching the Fifth Evolution Stage. It acted as a form of intimidation, forcing weaker, lower-stage monsters into submission. The aura itself was enough to suppress their will and prevent them from challenging stronger beings.
