Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 850: Chapter 628: Blockading the Sea Routes

”Once we repel Yang Zhenshan, we will dispatch our forces to besiege Star Moon Island. If they have any sense, they should submit obediently!” Hou Fangjin said through gritted teeth.

Wen Qing furrowed his brows, ”Our goal is not to destroy Star Moon Island.”

Hou Fangjin chuckled, stroking his long beard as he spoke, ”It’s not about destroying Star Moon Island; it’s about showing them our strength!”

”If they don’t have a clear understanding, they will inevitably harbor resentment in the future!”

”Therefore, to make them fully submit, we must bring our forces to the gates of Star Moon Island. If possible, we should seize some of their merchant ships as well!”

”Only then will they be willing to serve us!”

Wen Qing thought about it and agreed that it made sense.

To make a powerful force yield, one must show them a strength they cannot resist.

”Yes, I will dispatch the navy north as soon as possible. It will take about ten days for twenty thousand of the navy to reach the nearby sea domain!”

The Taro Dynasty, despite not being particularly strong, is still a dynasty with a population exceeding ten million.

Furthermore, the Taro Dynasty is an island nation, with its most elite force being the navy.

With the strength of the Taro Dynasty, they could assemble a hundred thousand navy, but they also have other enemies to guard against, so they can’t deploy the entire military, at most mobilizing twenty thousand navy for an expedition.

”The navy is secondary; the key is Innate Martial Artists! When will Mr. Xiang arrive?” Hou Fangjin asked.

Although he was unwilling to dampen his own resolve and raise others’ ambitions, he knew the power of Yang Zhenshan. It would be difficult to contend with Yang Zhenshan relying solely on the Divine Wood Sect’s strength, so they needed the top elite of the Taro Dynasty.

The man he referred to as Mr. Xiang, named Xiang Anxu, is the strongest Innate Martial Artist of the Taro Dynasty and also renowned as the Sword God in the surrounding Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain.

This Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain isn’t an imaginary figure; it refers to the stretch from Da Rong’s East South Sea Domain to the Stormy Sea Area, approximately ten thousand miles in length.

It includes twelve dynasties and thirty-four island powers.

To be considered an island power, one must possess Innate Martial Artists; otherwise, they wouldn’t even have the qualification to be on the table.

Adjacent to the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, in the east is the Stormy Sea Area, to the west is the Galuo Sea, and to the north is Da Rong’s East Sea, also known as the North Sky Sea Domain, where there are relatively few islands and virtually no powers.

As for the south, it is a vast land with numerous dynasties and kingdoms.

The East South Sea Domain of Da Rong is the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, but while the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain spans thousands of miles, the East South Sea Domain of Da Rong only consists of some islands and kingdoms in Da Rong’s southeast.

In Da Rong, the Lv Sheng Dynasty is already the most powerful dynasty in the East South Sea Domain, but in the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain, the Lv Sheng Dynasty is merely a lesser power.

The Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain nurtures many powerful forces. Each of these forces individually may not match Da Rong, but if viewed as a whole, their strength far exceeds Da Rong, especially in the quantity of Innate Martial Artists, which is four to five times that of Da Rong.

That Xiang Anxu could carve out such a significant reputation in the Ten Thousand Miles Sea Domain speaks to his formidable strength.

Wen Qing smiled and said, ”Mr. Xiang has already arrived. He is on my ship, but Mr. Xiang does not like noise, so he has not disembarked!”

Xiang Anxu does not dislike noise; he simply dislikes the mystical antics of the Divine Wood Sect.

”That’s good, that’s good, haha, Mr. Wen, please have some tea!” Hou Fangjin laughed.

”No tea for me, important matters come first. I still have to mobilize the troops, and naturally, the sooner the better!” Wen Qing stood up and said.

Upon hearing this, Hou Fangjin did not attempt to detain him any longer and laughed, ”Then I will see Mr. Wen off!”

...

On Star Moon Island, the New Year’s festive atmosphere had not yet dissipated. The people were still immersed in the joy of the festival, but the Yang family trade group and the navy had already begun operations.

The Yang family trade group was the first to take action. On the sixth day of the new year, the fleet returning for the holiday set sail one after another.

With Divine Wood Island blocking the east, all eastern fleets had halted eastward voyages and instead joined the western fleet in procuring grain, herbs, and other materials from various kingdoms south of Da Rong.

The western fleet continued its trade operations as necessary, with nine eastern trade fleets being sufficient for the army’s logistics supply.

This was the first large-scale war initiated since the Yang family took over Star Moon Island.

In the past, at most, they only mobilized their own navy on Star Moon Island, but this time they were bringing Tenglong Guard along to make moves on a scale not seen since the encirclement of the Star Moon Sect.

Next to act was the navy of Star Moon Island, with two thousand navy patrolling the eastern seas of Star Moon Island, intercepting all passing ships.

On the azure sea, Star Moon’s navy transformed into four fleets patrolling the surrounding sea areas.

Star Moon’s navy had two thousand soldiers, divided into two thousand commanders, four captains, and twenty lieutenants.

Each captain had one Da Fu Ship, two Hai Cang Ships, and over ten small Eagle Ships, fast ships.

Unlike Tenglong Guard, although Tenglong Guard Navy had replaced many warships in recent years, they still retained a large number of small vessels to respond to different situations in naval battles.

Star Moon’s navy, however, had largely abandoned small combat vessels, with the small ships they carried mostly used for logistics and communications.

Therefore, the main combat strength of Star Moon’s navy lay in that one Da Fu Ship and two Hai Cang Ships.

With four naval fleets, it was enough to blockade a sea area of three hundred miles around.

The blockade of Star Moon Island had a significant impact on Divine Wood Island. The eastern trade fleets included not only merchant ships from Star Moon Island and Tenglong Guard but also many fleets from Da Rong, the Li Sheng Dynasty, the Desheng Dynasty, and the Lv Sheng Dynasty.
