Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 846: Chapter 626: Dad Said Wipe Them Out, So We Wipe Them Out!

”Damn it, those bastards from Divine Wood Island really think I’m a pushover!”

”Adding trouble for me during the New Year too!”

”This time, if I don’t show them some colors, they’ll really think the Yang family is easy to bully!”

In the study, Yang Mingzhi was angrily cursing with a livid face.

Luo Zhen stood next to him and said, ”Second Young Master, Divine Wood Island is extremely greedy and deserves to be punished, but Divine Wood Island shouldn’t be foolish enough to directly start a war with us. I suspect they might have some other backing!”

The current strength of the Yang family is unclear to outsiders.

But the apparent strength of the Yang family is not something Divine Wood Island can provoke at will.

On the surface, Star Moon Island has seven Innate Martial Artists: Yang Zhenshan, Yu Qingyi, Yang Mingzhi, Yang Minghao, Luo Jingsong, Wu Zhan, and Wu Zheng.

Yang Mingcheng, Ding Qiu, Yang Chengche, and Yang Qinwu have never displayed their cultivation outside.

Even within Star Moon Island, only a few people know how many Innate Martial Artists there currently are.

For instance, Luo Shang and Zhen Yang’s family only know that there are several Innate Martial Artists among the Yang family’s business guards.

People like Yang Mingzhi and Wu Zhan only know about a few Innate Martial Artists in the Yang family’s navy.

While Yang Chengche and Yang Qinwu only know about a few Innate Martial Artists in the government.

But only Yang Zhenshan and Yang Mingcheng know the total number because they are responsible for distributing the cultivation salary to everyone.

This situation is not because Yang Zhenshan is deliberately keeping it a secret, but because people don’t find Innate Martial Artists particularly rare.

If in Da Rong, an Innate Martial Artist suddenly appeared, it wouldn’t be long before the news spread throughout Da Rong.

But on Star Moon Island, Innate Martial Artists are just that; everyone sees them often and doesn’t find them particularly rare.

Also, the Yang family maintains a high degree of independence, such as Yang Zhenshan’s Personal Followers, who hold no specific positions on Star Moon Island and remain Personal Followers around Yang Zhenshan.

Among the twenty Personal Followers, eighteen are Innate Martial Artists; only Yang Zhenshan, Yu Qingyi, and Yang Mingcheng know about this.

Additionally, the Yang family’s guards are also an independent unit under Ding Qiu’s command.

Previously, the Yang family had three hundred guards, but now they have retained only one hundred guards, with others joining the business, some joining the navy, and others remaining in the government.

Besides the Yang family, the strongest small group on Star Moon Island is Yang Zhenshan’s twenty Personal Followers, followed by the Yang family’s guards, then the navy, government, business, and finally the Luo family, the Zhen family, and others dependent on the Yang family.

Outside, Star Moon Island has only seven Innate Martial Artists, with Yang Mingzhi, Yang Minghao, Luo Jingsong, and Wu Zhan appearing most frequently.

But even so, Star Moon Island is far beyond Divine Wood Island’s ability to contend with.

Divine Wood Island has only four Innate Martial Artists; back then, Star Moon Island could suppress Divine Wood Island because of Yang Zhenshan’s strength and because Star Moon Island had more Innate Martial Artists than Divine Wood Island.

Divine Wood Island should be well aware of this; so why would they still provoke Star Moon Island?

”You mean they have other support?” Yang Mingzhi asked.

Luo Zhen nodded, ”Either this is a misunderstanding, or Divine Wood Island has other reliance!”

”Misunderstanding? How is that possible? The pirates in the surrounding seas have long been cleared, only Divine Wood Island has the strength to intercept our fleet near Huya Island!” Yang Mingzhi sneered.

Every fleet of the Yang family’s business possesses considerable strength, with two hundred guards all being Postnatal Martial Artists, among whom the lowest Commander is Postnatal Ninth Layer.

Besides the guards, the sailors and staff on board are almost all martial artists.

In a way, if you’re not a martial artist, you don’t have the qualification to board the ship and go out to sea.

A fleet of over four hundred people, inside and out, are all martial artists, even those old Shopkeepers who can pick up a knife and kill.

Moreover, the big ships of the fleet are equipped with crossbows, even though not as many as warships, they are still armed merchant ships.

With such a fleet, not to mention pirates, even the navies of those dynasties would mostly end in failure against it.

”Then they must have some backing! Should we first investigate the specific situation?” Luo Zhen said.

Yang Mingzhi furrowed his eyebrows in thought.

”No need, let’s have a fight first!”

Luo Zhen reminded, ”Shouldn’t we first ask the Island Master’s opinion on this matter?”

Yang Mingzhi paused, damn, he was so agitated that he forgot his father was still home.

If Yang Zhenshan weren’t here, he could make the decision himself, but since Yang Zhenshan is home, he really can’t make the decision alone.

”I’ll go ask!”

”Second Young Master, it’s already dark now; let’s wait until tomorrow!” Luo Zhen reminded again.

Yang Mingzhi tugged at his beard and could only nod.

In recent years, he got used to making decisions and handling matters himself; now that Yang Zhenshan is suddenly back, he’s really not used to it.

The next morning.

As Yang Zhenshan just got up, Qingxia reported, ”Master, Second Young Master, and Third Master are waiting in the front yard.”

”Hmm, what do they want?” Yang Zhenshan washed his face and asked.

”A fast boat came back last night, saying the business fleet was robbed!” Qingxia said.

Yang Zhenshan nodded and told Yu Qingyi, ”I’ll go to the front yard and take a look. You don’t need to wait for me to eat!”

Being robbed like this usually shouldn’t require disturbing him.

In the past, the Yang family’s business fleet had also been attacked and robbed. Once, a fleet even disappeared entirely, and it took the Yang family’s business two years to find out that the Desheng Dynasty’s navy had swallowed the fleet, and over a hundred guards and sailors had been doing hard labor for two years in the Desheng Dynasty.
