Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 840: Chapter 623: Come Here, Let Ancestor Hold You! (Part 2)

First, Yang Mingcheng and Ms. Wang, leading a big group of people, came in. Yang Zhenshan glanced around and indeed saw some unfamiliar faces.

Yang Mingcheng and Ms. Wang have two sons and two daughters: Yang Chengye, Yang Wanqing, Yang Wanyi, and Yang Chengzhen.

Yang Chengye and Mrs. Yu are in Chongshan Town and haven’t returned, but their children are all on the island.

Yang Wanqing married into the Qu family in Southern Border Town. Before Yang Zhenshan left Star Moon Island, she came back.

Yang Wanyi was paired with Wu Zhan’s eldest son, Wu Haiyang, and Yang Chengzhen married Lu Wenquan’s youngest daughter, Lu Miaotong; they all live on Star Moon Island.

As for Yang Chengye’s eldest son, Yang Qinyuan, he is already twenty-two this year and has married Luo Shang’s granddaughter, the youngest daughter of Luo Zhen, Luo Keqing.

Now even Yang Qinyuan’s children have reached two.

Yang Qinyuan’s eldest son, Yang Jijue, is already three years old.

Yang Zhenshan now not only has a full house of descendants but multiple generations, with five generations living together.

”Come, let the old ancestor hold you!” Yang Zhenshan beckoned to the little one.

Yang Jijue pouted and looked at his mother beside him. Luo Keqing hurriedly pushed him gently, ”Don’t be afraid, Ju’er, Grandpa loves you the most!”

The little one then hesitantly walked to Yang Zhenshan, who picked him up.

The little one was very quiet, lying in Yang Zhenshan’s arms without speaking. Yang Zhenshan took out an Ice Heart Fruit to give to him.

The Ice Heart Fruit only has cold-resistant benefits, suitable for children, and eating it posed no harm.

But the Three Yellow Plums, Jade Dew Spirit Peaches, and similar fruits are too nourishing for children; they can’t handle them.

Ice Heart Fruit is both sweet and crisp. The little one took a bite and immediately laughed, saying sweetly, ”Thank you, Grandpa!”

Seeing this, Luo Keqing’s tense emotions immediately eased.

She was genuinely worried her son would not perform well before Yang Zhenshan.

”Haha, what a good boy!”

Yang Qinyuan also chuckled heartily beside them.

Yang Zhenshan then glanced at Yang Qingyu, this little girl, only three months old, calmly asleep amid the bustling noise.

”Dad, this is Sheng’er, and this is Han’er!” Yang Mingcheng hurriedly introduced them, afraid the old man didn’t recognize his great-grand-grandchildren.

Yang Chengye has five children: Yang Qinyuan, Yang Ruochen, Yang Qinming, Yang Qisheng, and Yang Ruohan.

When Yang Zhenshan left Star Moon Island, Yang Qisheng and Yang Ruohan were still in Chongshan Town, but Yang Zhenshan once had a brief visit to Chongshan Pass and met these two children.

”You’re too talkative!” Yang Zhenshan retorted grumpily.

”I’ve seen Sheng’er and Han’er already.”

Saying this, he beckoned the three children over and inquired briefly about their past three years.

With Yang Chengye not present on the island, his children are raised in Yang Mingcheng’s courtyard.

Teenaged Yang Qinyuan already has his own small courtyard and his own small family.

Yet Yang Zhenshan didn’t ask much, simply inquired a few questions before letting the children leave.

A substantial number of children were still waiting behind. Even sparing a few minutes for each meant taking up to two hours to meet everyone.

After meeting the eldest family’s children, Yang Mingzhi and the Li family brought another large group to pay respects, followed by the third house children, and finally, Mrs. Zhu arrived with Yang Cheng’an and Yang Wanqi to pay a visit.

Compared to this, the fourth family seemed to have fewer descendants.

”Where’s Ming Zhao?” Yang Zhenshan asked.

”Uh, my husband is out traveling!” Mrs. Zhu responded nervously.

”Traveling? He never returned?”

”No, he returned half a year ago!” Mrs. Zhu quickly replied.

Yang Zhenshan furrowed his brows and looked toward Yang Mingcheng. Yang Mingcheng sheepishly said, ”These past two years, my younger brother has been away traveling. He returns for one or two months every year!”

”You don’t know where he’s gone?” Yang Zhenshan asked.

Yang Mingcheng replied, ”I know. He’s in Da Rong, always coming ashore at Song River Prefecture.”

Yang Zhenshan pondered for a moment, ”What’s this kid up to?”

He certainly didn’t suspect Yang Mingzhao was up to rebellious deeds. In his mind, Yang Mingzhao had always been obedient and became quite mature as an adult, not someone prone to reckless actions.

He never suspected Yang Mingzhao would misbehave outside, just assumed Yang Mingzhao found something intriguing.

Yang Zhenshan didn’t impose many constraints on his descendants. As long as they weren’t engaging in misdeeds and didn’t neglect their training, he wouldn’t hinder their interests and would support them.

The third generation of the Yang family didn’t just focus on training like sluggards; they each had pursuits. For instance, Yang Chengmao helped Jiang He in the government, Yang Chengxian and Yang Chengyou joined the Navy, Yang Chengzhang went into business, Yang Chengzhen went to the Zhu family and learned ironwork for a few years, and now opened a blacksmith shop on the island, working on iron all day.

And Yang Chengyu, this kid hangs out with Wang Mingzhe, while Yang Qinyong learns alchemy.

As for Yang Qinyuan, this kid is farming, managing the island’s medicinal field, researching the cultivation of Treasure Medicine daily.

Regarding these, Yang Zhenshan typically wouldn’t interfere. Everyone has their interests; as long as they were intrigued, he was inclined to support them.

As for industry status, it bore no impact on the Yang family, because the foundation of the Yang family was Martial Arts. They were martial artists first, and only afterward held other professions.

”Try to contact him, and if possible, have him return soon!”

”These kids can’t be left uncontrolled and always staying outside, what does that even look like!”

Yang Zhenshan remarked.

He somewhat suspected the kid might have set up a new home outside and found another wife?
