Divine Level Witch Doctor

Unlike common soft whips, the Wind and Thunder Whip was a hard whip, identical in form to the Divine-Beating Whip wielded by Jiang Ziya.

According to the description in the *Hundred Instruments Manual*, the Wind and Thunder Whip was about 1.2 meters long. It was hexagonal with sharp, defined edges. The body of the whip had twelve sections, each engraved with three runes, corresponding to the thirty-six divine generals of the Thunder Division! Once Qi was channeled into the whip, it could command Thunderbolt Power to smite Ghosts and vanquish Demons!

Without a doubt, the Wind and Thunder Whip was an incredibly powerful offensive Magical Artifact!

In truth, the original Wind and Thunder Whip recorded in the *Hundred Instruments Manual* was nowhere near this powerful. It didn’t have twelve sections, let alone thirty-six runes; these were all enhancements from the Information Leaf.

Zhao Yuan couldn’t care less about the original version. All he wanted was this improved, powerful Wind and Thunder Whip!

Just as he was laughing with delight, an angry shout came from downstairs. ”Who’s cackling like a ghost? So loud! Are you trying to keep people from their afternoon nap?”

Zhao Yuan quickly shut his mouth, his face a mask of embarrassment.

His laugh hadn’t actually been that loud, but he couldn’t do anything about the poor soundproofing in this old apartment complex. His one laugh had been heard by all his neighbors.

’What time is it, that they’re already taking a nap?’

Zhao Yuan picked up his phone and saw that it was already past one in the afternoon. No wonder his downstairs neighbor was napping.

’Well, I was so busy I completely lost track of time.’ Zhao Yuan shook his head. A wave of hunger washed over him, so he packed up his things and went out to eat.

Crafting the Wind and Thunder Whip could wait. There was no rush.

Besides, according to the book, it was best to craft the Wind and Thunder Whip in a place with abundant Spiritual Qi. Doing so would significantly increase both the success rate and its final power! His rental was fine for making auxiliary Magical Artifacts, but it simply wasn’t up to snuff for the Wind and Thunder Whip.

This matter further solidified Zhao Yuan’s resolve to find a new place for the upcoming semester.

Zhao Yuan didn’t go far, just finding a restaurant outside his complex. He was in the middle of eating when his phone rang. It was Fang Yi.

”Brother Zhao Yuan, where are you? I’ve sorted things out with the bank. We can go process the transfer anytime.”

”I’m near the school. Come pick me up.” Zhao Yuan gave Fang Yi the address of his complex, then hung up and continued eating.

About ten minutes later, Fang Yi’s car pulled up in front of the restaurant. Zhao Yuan shoveled the rest of his food down in a few quick bites, paid the bill, then patted his stomach and said casually, ”I’m only about seventy percent full. After we’re done with business, I’ll buy some bread or something.”

His words nearly scared the restaurant owner to death.

The owner glanced at the mountain of empty bowls and plates piled on Zhao Yuan’s table and thought with a sigh, ’My heavens, this kid ate enough food for a dozen people by himself, and he’s only seventy percent full? Are you even human, or are you a bottomless pit?’

Despite his silent complaints, he scrambled to catch up with Zhao Yuan, a broad smile on his face. ”Hey, handsome, please come back often! You’re a VIP at our restaurant now. Next time you come, I’ll give you a discount! Remember to come back often, dear!”

The owner’s overly enthusiastic attitude and fawning expression made Zhao Yuan shudder involuntarily.

’For cat’s sake! You’re an old man, a walking pile of wrinkles, so stop trying to act all cute and cutesy! And ’dear’? Dear my ass!’

Zhao Yuan practically fled the restaurant and dove into Fang Yi’s car. He mentally blacklisted the establishment, vowing never to return.

Fang Yi drove, weaving through the streets of Rongcheng City, and finally arrived at the branch office of a major bank.

After parking, Fang Yi made a phone call. Just as the two of them reached the building’s entrance, a man in his fifties emerged to greet them, his face wreathed in smiles.

”Bank President Cao, we’re so sorry to have you come out and greet us personally,” Fang Yi said with a smile, shaking his hand. He then introduced Zhao Yuan. ”This is the legal representative of our pharmaceutical company, and also our big boss, Zhao Yuan!”

A flicker of surprise crossed Bank President Cao’s eyes. He had originally assumed Zhao Yuan was Fang Yi’s nephew or some other young relative. He never expected this plainly dressed young man to be Fang Yi’s big boss!

He subconsciously thought Fang Yi was joking, but on second thought, he realized Fang Yi wouldn’t make such a crude joke.

Bank President Cao immediately adjusted his attitude, shaking Zhao Yuan’s hand and saying with a cheerful laugh, ”I truly never expected Boss Zhao to be so young! I’m impressed, deeply impressed!”

If it were any other company, Bank President Cao certainly wouldn’t need to be this polite. But Zhao Yuan’s pharmaceutical company was different. The assessment report indicated they were a high-quality enterprise with immense potential and great prospects for development! For a company like this, it was the bank that would be begging them to take out a loan, not the other way around.

After a few more pleasantries, Zhao Yuan cut to the chase. ”You’re too kind, Bank President Cao. You’re aware of why we’re here, correct?”

”I am,” Bank President Cao said with a smile. ”Normally, a transfer of this magnitude requires an appointment several days in advance. However, Boss Fang is a friend of mine, and since the card you’re transferring to was also issued by our bank, I’ve made a special exception for you! Gentlemen, please, follow me.”

Bank President Cao led Zhao Yuan and Fang Yi to the VIP client lounge, had someone brew them tea, and then said, ”I’ll go get the relevant documents. Once Boss Zhao has filled them out, we can proceed with the transfer.”

After he left the VIP lounge, Zhao Yuan whispered to Fang Yi, ”This Bank President Cao seems like a decent guy.”

Fang Yi rolled his eyes. ”How could he not be? I gave him a full set of Soul-Stabilizing Incense, Beauty Pills, and Vitality Pills.”

Zhao Yuan was stunned for a moment. ”Oh, so you bribed him. No wonder he was so nice. Alright, I take back what I just said.”

The two shared a laugh, and soon Bank President Cao returned with a file. After Zhao Yuan filled out the forms, Cao personally led him to the VIP counter to process the transfer.

After it was done, Bank President Cao said, ”It’s all taken care of. However, because the amount is quite large, it might take some time for the funds to arrive.”

”Thank you.”

While thanking him, Zhao Yuan couldn’t help but mutter to himself internally, ’It seems the Ying Family either has someone on the inside at the bank, or they’re just at a very high level. The transfer from the Ying Family Ancestor went through in minutes.’

Zhao Yuan and Fang Yi took their leave, with Bank President Cao personally escorting them all the way out of the bank building.

Back at the bank counter, a pretty young teller asked her colleague who had just handled Zhao Yuan’s transaction, ”Who are those two? Why was Bank President Cao sucking up to them so much, greeting them at the door and seeing them out?”

Her colleague replied, ”I don’t know who they are, but I do know that the young man just transferred one hundred million out.”

”How much? One hundred million? Good heavens, he’s that rich?” The pretty teller was shocked, and several other colleagues nearby were just as stunned. Working in a bank, they had seen plenty of rich people, but they had never seen someone transfer one hundred million in one go.

This incident became the main topic of conversation among the employees for some time after. Many of the unmarried young women lamented, why didn’t they go over, strike up a conversation, and get his number?

He was a genuine prize catch! And he wasn’t bad-looking, either!

What a shame, what a terrible shame!
