Ghost Catching System

After countless reports were released, they drew the attention of the general public, with responses ranging from people feeling moved, to offering praise, to expressing envy.

When these reports reached foreign countries, the whole world was shocked.

Many foreigners said, ”Welcome Yin-Yang people from Huaxia to come abroad! Just come, and we will give you generous rewards.”

”God, Huaxians are so lucky.”

”Yin-Yang people of Huaxia, please come to foreign countries to help. We need Huaxia’s Yin-Yang people.”

”So righteous! With these Yin-Yang people emerging, ordinary people in Huaxia Country without awakened abilities can finally get a good night’s sleep. If only we in the United States could have this too.”

This led to foreigners inviting Yin-Yang people from Huaxia Country to their nations, promising generous rewards.

However, soon after, several countries united on a software platform to jointly issue bounties on ghosts, from the lowest one-star to the highest star level. Anyone who could resolve these spectral issues would receive a hefty sum of reward money.

Defeating a six-star level Ghost could earn a reward of one million RMB.

This made countless ordinary people so envious their eyes turned red, all of them hoping that they too could awaken someday.

The grim era slowly began to turn around, as people saw a glimmer of hope.

For justice, for money, for the people—regardless of the reason—the struggle between Yin-Yang people and ghosts became a global sensation.

Of course, the number of ghosts was also increasing, with all sorts of terrifying ghosts emerging. Every day, the horror ranking software was updated with new kinds of Fierce Ghosts, Demons, and Evil Spirits, too numerous to count.

The daily death toll was also rising, which was chilling.

The news also advised everyone to go out as little as possible, especially at night, and to avoid deep forests and old mountains where more Evil Spirits lurked.

As for the increase in ghosts, Chu Hao found nothing surprising, for the Underworld was also in chaos and simply couldn’t attend to the Human World.

The terrifying Foreign Ghost Army had emerged from the Land of the Vast Ancient. The Underworld was too overwhelmed to cope.

Chu Hao even wondered, What would happen if the Underworld fell?

One could imagine: souls unable to be reincarnated, ghosts unable to enter the Underworld, resentment flourishing—it would truly be horrifying.

...

Chu Hao had been very busy lately. He had sent Dong Qi, Liang Qian, and the Golden-Wood Drought Demon to the towns near Anli City to deal with the local Evil Spirits and stabilize the region, since his friends and relatives lived in Anli City.

One day, Chu Hao received a phone call. The caller spoke in a gentle tone, ”Is this Master Chu Hao?”

Chu Hao said, ”It is I. Who’s this?”

”I’m the president of Beihua University,” the caller replied. ”I would like to invite Master Chu to give a lecture for the Yin-Yang class at Beihua University. You can name your price for the lecture. Please agree to come. After all, you are now a role model in the hearts of young people, and we hope you can come to teach and speak.”

Chu Hao was surprised. Schools were establishing Yin-Yang classes now? From middle school to high school to university, all were starting classes for Yin-Yang people.

Chu Hao said with a bit of amusement, ”How did you find my number?”

The president said, ”I found it on the Film University’s website.”

So that’s how it was.

Chu Hao was just about to refuse when the president earnestly said, ”Master Chu, I earnestly request you to agree. The world is not the same anymore. The global community is in panic and crisis, and I hope someone like you can step forward to guide the younger generation, showing them a brighter path.”

With such sincerity from the other party, it would be somewhat embarrassing not to agree.

Chu Hao said, ”I’ll go take a look.”

”Thank you, Master Chu! Beihua University welcomes you,” the person on the other end exclaimed excitedly.

Suddenly being asked to be a guest lecturer was a rather high distinction. Chu Hao’s interest was piqued. Could I go and show off a bit?

At that moment, another phone call came in.

Chu Hao took out his phone and saw it was from his university advisor. He hadn’t attended classes for a whole semester, which was indeed somewhat inappropriate.

However, the voice on the other end of the line wasn’t his university professor’s but someone else, who said, ”Master Chu, I am the President of the Film University.”

Chu Hao asked, ”What can I do for you, President?”

The President of the Film University replied, ”It’s like this. We have established a Yin-Yang class at the Film University, and I would like to invite you to be a guest lecturer.”

Here we go again, Chu Hao thought.

Chu Hao said, ”I’ve just agreed to go to Beihua University, as invited by their President.”

The President of the Film University hurriedly said, ”No problem. The lecture date at Beihua University is different from ours at the Film University. You can come when the time comes.”

”Alright then.”

The President hung up the phone politely.

After a while, more calls came in from people claiming to be from various high schools or universities.

Chu Hao only then realized how famous he had become.

Indeed, ever since the national ranking software was released, Chu Hao had become thoroughly famous. How many Ten-star Yin-Yang Masters could there be worldwide?

Calls kept coming in one after another; his phone was ringing almost constantly. So Chu Hao simply turned off his phone.

When he turned it off, the moods of those trying to reach him soured. They had been calling continuously, only to get a busy signal. Now, with Chu Hao’s phone off, a wave of their negative emotions surged forth.

”DING. For snubbing people from a thousand miles away, the Host has received 4,000 Pretentiousness Points.”

Chu Hao was amused. So I can earn Pretentiousness Points this way too! This instantly put him in a good mood.

Chu Hao was instructing Li Yin, Wang Meng, Yu Sicheng, Ankang Mo, and Zhang Qin’ai, along with the children from the orphanage, in Yin-Yang Techniques. He conveyed the principles of the Internal Energy Breathing Method to everyone, and they all benefited greatly.

Naturally, Chu Hao hoped that the people he knew could live well in this terrifying era, at the very least not be harassed by ghosts.

One day, Chu Hao received an invitation.

He assumed it was another university lecture invitation, but when he opened it, it was an invitation from the Peak Yin and Yang Conference.

The organizer: the Valley Financial Group.

Li Yin was somewhat surprised and said, ”The Valley Financial Group? Isn’t that a big financial group in Huaxia Country with businesses all over the world?”

Liang Qian couldn’t help laughing alluringly. ”The Valley Financial Group really is confident. What makes them think they can host a Peak Yin and Yang Conference? I bet not many people will go.”

Dong Qi shook his head and said, ”That’s not right. Look at the name on the invitation: Shangu Yizun. Doesn’t that name sound familiar?”

Li Yin opened his phone, looked at the ranking app, and pointed to a name. ”Shangu Yizun, a Ten-star Yin-Yang Master, ranked the same as Ah-Hao. He is a Yin-Yang Master from Wo Country.”

A Yin-Yang Master from Wo Country, coming to Huaxia Country to host a ’Toppling Yin and Yang Conference’?

Dong Qi said, ”What is this Wo Countryman up to?”

Li Yin couldn’t help but say, ”Why do I feel like this is Xiang Yu’s Hongmen Banquet for Liu Bang?”

Chu Hao, completely unconcerned, said, ”Even if it is, I’ll go see what that Wo Countryman is up to. We still haven’t settled our previous score.”

He held no fondness for Yin-Yang Masters from Wo Country. Last time, one of them had delivered the demonic altar sealing the Heavenly Bone Woman right to his doorstep. If not for his quick wits, he would have died long ago.

Besides, the Valley Financial Group sent people to assassinate him last time. That’s a score that needs to be settled properly.

Li Yin searched online and indeed found information about this invitation event. All the invitees were influential figures in the Yin and Yang Realm.

Apart from Chu Hao, there were several other Ten-star Yin-Yang Masters: Ghost Sword Dust of Dragon Soul, Longhu Mountain Taoist Master Zhang Zhonghao, and the current Taoist Masters of Mao Mountain, Zhongnan Mountain, and Qingcheng Mountain, among others.
