Ghost Catching System

”Yang Ying, what do you mean by that?”

Yang Ying said, ”I just think that with friends like Li Yin, how can he ever amount to anything? A loser is always a loser. Wei Shanshan, you might have bet on the wrong horse.”

Wei Shanshan scoffed, ”You should worry about yourself first.”

Yang Ying laughed lightly. ”I’ve already found a boyfriend, and he’s a Yin-Yang Person.”

When everyone heard this, they gathered around Yang Ying and asked, ”Yang Ying, your boyfriend is a Yin-Yang Person?”

Surrounded by the crowd, Yang Ying felt particularly proud. ”Yes.”

A girl said, ”It’s not easy to find a Yin-Yang Person. I also want a Yin-Yang Person as a boyfriend; it must be very safe to be with one.”

Yang Ying smiled. ”It is very safe. My boyfriend is now a registered Yin-Yang Person, serving a national department, with a bright future ahead of him. I’ve got it all planned out; we’re getting married this year.”

Everyone envied her.

Even the men felt envious, fantasizing about when they would awaken.

The young man next to Wei Shanshan, Fang Zizhen, looked at her and said, ”Actually, I went to register as a Yin-Yang Person yesterday.”

Everyone was shocked, looking at Fang Zizhen with surprise on their faces.

Fang Zizhen was an actor, the second male lead in their production crew.

Yang Ying, surprised, asked, ”Fang Zizhen, Yin-Yang Persons get certification. Where’s your Yin-Yang Person certificate?”

Fang Zizhen gave a faint smile and took out a little red booklet. It had his photo on it, somewhat like a driver’s license, and also bore the national stamp, indicating a Level One Yin-Yang Person.

Everyone was astounded.

Someone excitedly said, ”Zi Zhen, let me have a look! I’ve seen Yin-Yang Persons show off their certificates online, but I’ve never seen a real one.”

Having a Yin-Yang Person among them was quite a shock; Fang Zizhen suddenly became the center of everyone’s attention.

Times had changed. Yin-Yang Persons had become extremely important, and the national government paid close attention to them. Any Yin-Yang Person could receive national welfare. Not only did this certificate signify their status, but it also indicated a boundless future.

Not long ago, there was a perfect example: a young man, fresh out of a third-rate university, with unimpressive looks, who could only make ends meet with odd jobs. However, this young man awakened as a Yin-Yang Person. He was recruited by the nation to develop his potential. After completing several assignments, his life soared—he had a house, a car, and beautiful women, everything he could wish for.

Fang Zizhen also had such potential!

Wei Shanshan exclaimed, ”You—when did you awaken?”

Fang Zizhen said, ”About half a month ago.”

Yang Ying glanced over, her tone smug. ”A Level One Yin-Yang Person. My boyfriend is Level Two, one level higher than you.”

Fang Zizhen shook his head. ”The powers of a Yin-Yang Person can be cultivated. Haven’t you seen One Piece? In it, Fruit Users can continuously develop their abilities, amplifying their powers indefinitely.”

A friend of Fang Zizhen asked, ”Zi Zhen, what’s your ability?”

Fang Zizhen replied, ”I can not only see ghosts but also punch with Yang Energy.”

Everyone was confused. ”What is Yang Energy?”

Fang Zizhen explained, ”Yang Energy is similar to the Yang Qi inside a person’s body. The more Yang Qi a person has, the more of it transforms into Yang Energy. Ghosts fear this energy the most.”

The crowd was awed once more. Fang Zizhen’s fortune had truly changed overnight.

Someone asked, ”Zi Zhen, how did you awaken?”

Fang Zizhen replied, ”That day, I was showering and getting ready for bed when I felt an unusual heat in my body, like a fire burning in my stomach. It was so unbearable that I went to the hospital, and then I passed out. The next day, when I woke up, the doctor told me I had the potential to be a Yin-Yang Person.”

So that was how it happened.

The crowd was once again filled with envy, especially the men.

Fang Zizhen looked at Wei Shanshan and said, ”Shanshan, I’ve liked you for a long time.”

Everyone gasped, clapping their hands, the girls looking on with envy.

Wei Shanshan blushed and said, ”I have a boyfriend.”

Fang Zizhen waved his hand. ”Li Yin is just an ordinary person who’s only been in the entertainment industry for half a year. I’ve asked around. If it weren’t for his connections, would Manager Mu think so highly of him?”

Yang Ying also chimed in, ”I’ve heard that too. Li Yin got that movie role entirely because of connections. With his acting skills, how could he have landed the lead role?”

Wei Shanshan said, ”But I—!”

Someone else persuaded her, ”Shanshan, Fang Zizhen has a bright future ahead of him. You should seize this chance. If I were you, I would have dumped Li Yin long ago. Look at the kind of friends he keeps—all shabby and unkempt.”

Wei Shanshan was indecisive.

Just then, Li Yin and Chu Hao came over. ”What are you guys talking about? Are you hungry?”

As he spoke, Li Yin reached for Wei Shanshan’s hand. ”Shanshan, are you hungry? I’ll take you for a late-night snack.”

Wei Shanshan glanced at Fang Zizhen, seemed to finally make up her mind, and pulled her hand away from Li Yin’s.

Seeing this, Fang Zizhen’s heart leaped with joy.

Wei Shanshan said, ”I’m not hungry. I want to go back.”

Li Yin, puzzled, said, ”We just got here. Why go back already? I want to introduce you to my brother. He’s no ordinary person.”

Chu Hao coughed. ”Don’t talk nonsense.”

Li Yin felt awkward. He knew Chu Hao was a cultivator, a secret that couldn’t be casually revealed.

Nearby, Yang Ying said with a mocking tone, ”Not an ordinary person? Don’t tell me he’s a Yin-Yang Person?”

Li Yin, already annoyed with Yang Ying, retorted, ”My buddy really is a Yin-Yang Person.”

Everyone was shocked.

Yang Ying was also surprised. ”But Yin-Yang Persons all have certificates.”

Li Yin said proudly, ”My brother doesn’t need that kind of thing. He could get one in minutes if he wanted.”

Everyone laughed. This Li Yin was bragging way too much! Chu Hao didn’t look like a Yin-Yang Person at all. Would a Yin-Yang Person really go three months without bathing?

Yang Ying scoffed, ”So he’s not a Yin-Yang Person but still puts on airs? Acting like you actually know one.”

Li Yin had always disliked Yang Ying. Today, as if he’d swallowed gunpowder, he snapped, ”It’s none of your damn business! Who here is more pretentious than you? Take a good look at yourself!”

Yang Ying was furious and sneered, ”Let me tell you, Li Yin: Shanshan likes Fang Zizhen, not you.”

Li Yin was furious and rushed forward to slap Yang Ying.

Wei Shanshan grabbed him, saying angrily, ”What are you doing? Are you trying to hit someone?”

Li Yin shouted, ”This bitch is asking for it! Shanshan, tell her! Who do you like?”

Wei Shanshan hesitated, her voice faltering.

Li Yin turned around, his face a mask of disbelief. He looked from Wei Shanshan to the smiling Fang Zizhen, a towering rage threatening to explode from within him.

Having regained her composure, Yang Ying sneered, ”Fang Zizhen *is* a Yin-Yang Person, with a certificate to prove it! And what are you? Just an ordinary guy. If it weren’t for someone backing you, do you think Manager Mu would’ve given you a second glance, let alone cast you as the male lead? Dream on!”

Li Yin exploded with rage and charged forward to punch Yang Ying.

The others held him back, urging him to calm down.

Yang Ying raged back, screaming, ”Li Yin, let me tell you, my boyfriend is a Yin-Yang Person! If you dare lay a finger on me, my man will make you pay!”

Li Yin was restrained, his body seething with uncontrollable fury.
