Ghost Catching System

Li Yin, this guy, had actually awakened the Heavenly Eye.

Li Yin said excitedly, ”I don’t know what’s going on, but let me tell you a terrifying reality. According to statistics, there are now 1,300,000 people in Huaxia Country who have become Yin-Yang People, whether by awakening the Heavenly Eye or some other special ability. The officially registered count alone has reached a staggering 1,300,000. I’m just one of them.”

Chu Hao was shocked. In just three short months, so many people had been affected?

Chu Hao said, ”Continue.”

Li Yin said, ”I didn’t register as a Yin-Yang Person, so I estimate the actual number in the country is far more than 1,300,000—perhaps even significantly higher. And there are even more abroad, all over the world.”

Li Yin continued, ”Too many things have happened during the time you were away. Ghosts have been confirmed to exist, as have demons, and they are extremely dangerous.”

Chu Hao was startled and asked, ”What’s going on?”

Li Yin said with a sigh, ”It’s not just Humans awakening some special abilities. Ghosts, demons, and some terrifying Evil Spirits have also gained tremendous power. It used to be simple for Sanqing Pavilion to deal with Ghosts, but now they can’t handle even one.”

Chu Hao was utterly shocked by this.

Li Yin took out his phone and said, ”Let me show you a piece of news.”

As he spoke, he opened up the latest news on his phone, which reported that a Fierce Ghost had appeared and slaughtered an entire county, with a confirmed death toll of 50,000.

The identity of the Fierce Ghost had been uncovered. She was a woman from the county who had died a miserable death—poisoned by her in-laws. She had been constantly beaten and lived a life of unimaginable suffering. When she finally became pregnant, even the child was killed along with her.

Therefore, the mother and child transformed into Fierce Ghosts, became incredibly powerful, and directly slaughtered 50,000 people, shocking the world.

Upon reading this, even Chu Hao couldn’t help but gasp.

Li Yin also said, ”Evil deeds bring evil consequences; retribution isn’t absent, it’s just delayed. Everyone in her in-laws’ family was wiped out, and they dragged another 50,000 people down with them.”

It turned out that the revival wasn’t just of Humans, but also of Ghosts and demons.

Then, Li Yin found another piece of news and said, ”Look at this. A massive outbreak of zombies occurred in Xiangxi, turning a county of 700,000 people into a zombie-infested dead city. Many were infected, and the area is now sealed off, with a total of 130,000 people confirmed missing.”

Li Yin said fearfully, ”This is like some damn real-life zombie apocalypse! One bite, and you’re infected!”

Indeed, this was terrifying.

This was no ordinary zombie phenomenon; these could turn humans into Corpse Demons. Golden Drought Fiends possessed such an ability, but even they didn’t act with the same unbridled recklessness as this particular zombie.

Li Yin then found another piece of news and exclaimed, ”Look at this! Is this even the same damn world I used to know?”

Chu Hao read the news, which stated that a troupe appeared in the mountains, singing operas day and night. An elder warned everyone not to go up the mountain, saying it was a ”human skin lantern play” and to be careful not to be skinned and turned into lanterns.

Some people didn’t believe it and went up the mountain, never to return. The next day, this group was discovered—they had all been skinned, their bloody bodies hanging from the trees.

There was also news about the long highways in the Uninhabited Area of Tibet.

As everyone knows, that’s an uninhabited region in Tibet, with long and lonely roads stretching for hundreds of kilometers without a soul in sight. Yet, people claimed to have seen a bustling city appear in the uninhabited area.

If only one person had seen it, one would think it was a hallucination. But then many people posted videos online, and even satellites captured the silhouette of the city in the uninhabited area, causing a huge sensation.

The people of Tibet said it was a Holy City buried by sandstorms in ancient times.

But there was an even more bizarre piece of news.

Overnight, all the women in a village became pregnant; upon further inspection, all were found to be carrying Ghost Fetuses.

Yin-Yang People were prepared to deal with it, but then something happened the next day.

All the Ghost Fetuses were born, all the women died, and the group of Ghost Fetuses disappeared without a trace.

Seeing this news, Chu Hao felt certain it was the work of the Flirtatious Ghost. Its power has grown so much.

Li Yin couldn’t help but say, ”In the three months you were gone, so many terrifying things happened that now a lot of people are hiding at home, too scared to come out.”

Chu Hao frowned, as he spotted another piece of news.

In the Yellow River region, people mysteriously disappeared so often that the Yellow River has become a forbidden area, and no one dares to fish there anymore.

Moreover, corpses would inexplicably appear on the banks of the Yellow River the next day. They were bloated from the water, some dressed in modern clothing and others in ancient attire—it was an utterly bizarre sight.

Li Yin found another piece of news and exclaimed, ”Look at this, is this person a deity like you?”

There was a video, taken in the skies above Chuan City, showing an elderly man walking among the clouds. He carried a large bamboo basket on his back and was bent over, picking herbs.

Herb gatherer in the clouds, that’s what the netizens called the old man.

However, these were only news from Huaxia Country; abroad, countless other pieces of news had emerged.

Devils specifically captured children, and the number of missing people in a month reached hundreds of thousands.

In the deserts, horrific creatures appeared, invisible yet able to melt people away, turning the entire desert into a forbidden area.

All sorts of supernatural news made people’s scalps tingle involuntarily.

After reading for a while, Chu Hao inhaled sharply, ”The changes are so great.”

The entire world was swept by a supernatural storm.

Countries around the globe were in turmoil, countless people felt panicked and uneasy, and some had already stockpiled food, planning not to go out.

Li Yin said, ”However, not all places are dangerous. Our Huaxia Country is still quite powerful, having designated some cities as safe zones, telling the citizens not to panic. Our Anli City is one of them; even Shen State and other first-tier cities aren’t safe.”

Indeed, Huaxia Country had designated some cities as safe zones, mostly those closest to Taoism and Buddhism, with a hundred miles around them being safe.

Li Yin said, ”Our Anli City is set as a safe zone; otherwise, you wouldn’t see so many people at the Lantern Festival.”

The changes in the past three months were so great.

Chu Hao had a feeling this was only the beginning.

Li Yin said, ”However, some powerful Yin-Yang People have also appeared among us Humans, specializing in handling these supernatural events.”

”A while ago, a Yin-Yang Person named Wang Zheng appeared. It’s said that he wields a divine sword, slaying demons and exorcising Ghosts. He’s dealt with many Fierce Ghosts and demons, securing the safety of an entire city.”

There were quite a few people like him. Prominent figures from both Taoism and Buddhism have also begun to eliminate some of these monsters.

Chu Hao nodded.

The two chatted for a long time about the world’s changes. Li Yin recounted many things to Chu Hao, though much of this information was already widely available online.

「...」

Wei Shanshan watched Li Yin in the distance with some dissatisfaction.

The young girl laughed and said, ”How could your boyfriend have such a friend? He’s really sloppy.”

Wei Shanshan shook her head, ”This is my first time meeting him, too.”

The young girl made a sarcastic remark, ”They seem to have a quite good relationship.”

Wei Shanshan turned around, ”Yang Ying, what do you mean by that?”
