Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 887: 886 to get rid of him

Wen Ran saw him come out and immediately added another sentence, “Qing Feng, Mo Xiuchen is out, wait a moment.”

Mo Xiuchen walked to the bedside, took the mobile phone from Wen Ran’s hand, and greeted with a faint “hello.”

It was unclear what Qing Feng had told him, but his brows furrowed slightly, his expression turned cold, and the voice that spilled from his thin lips also carried a hint of melancholy, “Come back. I will arrange for someone else to keep watch.”

A trace of confusion appeared on Wen Ran’s face as she silently watched Mo Xiuchen.

Mo Xiuchen gave her a slight smile, handed her the towel he had used to dry his hair, and Wen Ran took it, got out of bed, and went to hang the towel.

After hanging the towel and returning, Mo Xiuchen had already hung up the phone, was sitting on the bed, and gestured for her to come over. Wen Ran smiled, climbed onto the bed, and snuggled into his arms voluntarily.

“Ranran, Cheng Jia has disappeared. I suspect that this matter is related to Mo Jingteng.”

Wen Ran blinked in confusion and asked softly, “What do you mean Cheng Jia has disappeared?”

Mo Xiuchen’s large hand gently stroked her soft hair, and his warm, deep voice whispered in her ear, “Originally, I wanted Cheng Jia and Mo Jingteng to fall from grace together, but I only found out after sending Qing Feng to investigate today that she hasn’t been home since the night before last. She went to the hospital this morning to see Mo Jingteng…”

Surprise flashed in Wen Ran’s eyes, and after Mo Xiuchen finished speaking, her brows knitted gently.

“Ranran, tomorrow, I will arrange for Qing Feng and Qing Yang to accompany you abroad. So, later, we’ll need to call Bai Xiaoxiao again to ask which flight she booked.”

Wen Ran shook her head in refusal, “No, Mo Jingteng is not kind-hearted. He won’t go soft just because of your son. Qing Feng and Qing Yang staying in G City might be able to help if something happens.”

“They won’t, rest assured.”

Mo Xiuchen reassured in a soft voice, but Wen Ran was not at all reassured. She pursed her lips and whispered,

“Mo Xiuchen, when you were young, Xiao Wenqing hurt you time and again, often trying to put you in mortal danger. Back then, Mo Jingteng just turned a blind eye and did nothing about you. This shows that he doesn’t care about you at all. Now, because of me, you’re once again opposing him and even planning to take over MS Group and send him to prison. Who knows what he might do.”

“Ranran, that was the past. Now, he doesn’t have the power to hurt me,” Mo Xiuchen said in a low voice, yet it was filled with confidence and determination.

**

In the middle of the night, Mo Jingteng finally woke up again.

His condition wasn’t too bad, similar to yesterday’s stroke, he could speak, albeit not clearly, and half of his body was incapacitated.

But that didn’t stop him from being furiously enraged, even more viciously than before.

“Ah Cheng, has Cheng Jia left G City?”

He struggled to ask a complete question, the sinister look in his eyes chilling even the bodyguard standing by.

“Master, Cheng Jia left this morning. Rest assured, the young master won’t be able to find her,” the bodyguard replied.

Mo Jingteng looked at him, gesturing for him to continue. Ah Cheng smiled and explained, “I told Cheng Jia to go wherever she wanted. With the money you gave her, she can hide in a safe place. After a facial reconstruction, she can come back with a completely new face and identity.”

“You…”

Mo Jingteng’s eyes widened in surprise, and his features twisted viciously with emotion.

“Master, since the young master hasn’t considered the father-son relationship with you, there’s no need for you to be merciful towards him. This afternoon, Lu Zhiyan brought several policemen to the hospital, claiming they had evidence of the crimes you’ve committed over the years…”

“Master, don’t be agitated. This was all informed by the young master. To favor a woman, he not only disgraced you but also wants to ruin the efforts of your lifetime. Master, why not just eliminate him.”

“Take him out?” Mo Jingteng muttered.

He tried to control his emotions, but even so, breathing was somewhat difficult.

A fierce streak flashed in Ah Cheng’s eyes as he said in a heavy voice, “Yes, get rid of the eldest young master. He now sees you as an enemy. As long as the master is willing, I will help you take care of him.”

“Good, you… go make the arrangements.”

Mo Jingteng hesitated for a moment, then made up his mind.

Mo Xiuchen, since you are unfilial, then I have no need to keep you. It’s time to send you to meet your mother.

After all, that woman had betrayed him long ago. If it hadn’t been for Mo Xiuchen’s natural intelligence and the fact that he had always liked his son before he knew the truth, he wouldn’t have allowed him to live for so many years and even considered handing the company over to him.

Looking back, he should never have kept him. Even if Mo Zixuan is not as smart, he is still Mo Jingteng’s son.

“Alright, master, I will go now.”

After Ah Cheng left, Mo Jingteng lay alone on the bed, an image of a young and beautiful face surfacing in his mind. It was from many years ago, the first time he met Mo Xiuchen’s mother, and he fell for her at first sight.

He loved her so much, yet he couldn’t earn even a bit of her affection. He did so much for her, but it wasn’t enough to surpass the man in her heart. Finally, after exhausting all means, he managed to have her and succeeded in marrying her.

And without anyone knowing, he orchestrated an accident that sent the man she loved to Hell…

If Mo Xiuchen’s mother hadn’t discovered that secret, hadn’t argued with him about seeking revenge for her beloved, their family might have continued to be happy.

There would not have been Xiao Wenqing, nor the tragedies and hurts of Mo Xiuchen’s childhood.

Thinking of these things, Mo Jingteng’s eyes couldn’t help but fill with bloodshot veins. After so many years, he was no longer clear if he treated Mo Xiuchen as his son or as a shame, constantly avenging himself upon him.

Now, finally, it was all going to end. Good, that bastard should have died long ago. If only he had been more heartless, he wouldn’t have been driven to this state by that boy.

…

The next morning, Mo Xiuchen personally cooked breakfast for Wen Ran.

It was Wen Ran’s favorite breakfast, but because of their imminent separation, the food had lost all taste.

“Ranran, eat a bit more.”

Mo Xiuchen ignored the reluctance in his heart, had a gentle smile float on his lips, and peeled a boiled egg for Wen Ran, placing it in her bowl.

Wen Ran returned a smile and did not refuse.

“You have to call me every day. Don’t keep anything from me,” Wen Ran instructed gently after she was full.

Mo Xiuchen nodded smilingly, “I will report to you in detail about everything that happens each day. You also have to take care of yourself when you are away.”

“If you’re worried, then I won’t go,” Wen Ran said teasingly, batting her eyelashes.

Mo Xiuchen chuckled softly, his large hand gently stroking her head, fingers tenderly combing through her hair, “Ranran, once all this messy stuff is sorted out, in the future, even if you want to leave me alone to have fun, I won’t allow it.”

Wen Ran felt like crying inside, but she forced a smile on her face, pushed his hand away, stood up, and said cheerfully, “Then I’ll take advantage of the fact that you’re too busy to worry about me and have a really good time.”
