Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 878: 877 Revenge

Having entered the hospital, the driver carried the woman into the emergency room.

After hearing a brief account from them, the doctor instructed the driver to place her on the bed for examination and lifted the hair from her face. When Jiang Liu saw her face clearly, his eyes widened in shock as he exclaimed,

“Cheng Jia?”

“You know her?” the driver asked, turning his head upon hearing Jiang Liu’s voice. The doctor performing the check-up also turned around, meeting Jiang Liu’s stunned expression, and said indifferently, “Go and handle her hospital admission procedures…”

Jiang Liu left the emergency room, his heart still unsettled. Cheng Jia seemed to have suffered a lot. The doctor had mentioned earlier that she had fainted from severe hunger.

After paying, Jiang Liu completed Cheng Jia’s hospital admission procedures but did not wait for Cheng Jia to wake up before leaving the hospital with the driver.

When he got home, Shen Yuting was already asleep. Jiang Liu poured himself a glass of water to drink, took a bath, and then returned to the bedroom.

“Why are you back so late?”

As he moved closer, Shen Yuting woke up, turned her head, and looked at him with a slight frown between her brows.

“Stop it, I’m really tired.”

“Yuting, I need to tell you something.”

“You have to promise me that you won’t get angry after I tell you,”

Previously, Shen Yuting had almost broken up with him over issues regarding Cheng Jia, so to avoid any misunderstandings, he wanted a promise from her before he told her.

Shen Yuting blinked, confusion replacing the haziness in her eyes. Although puzzled, she still nodded, “Alright, I won’t get angry. Tell me, what happened?”

Securing her promise, Jiang Liu finally began, speaking gently, “On my way back home tonight, I encountered Cheng Jia.”

“Cheng Jia, she came looking for you again?”

At the mention of Cheng Jia’s name, Shen Yuting’s expression immediately changed, and her tone unabashedly conveyed her displeasure.

Jiang Liu hurriedly explained, “No, Cheng Jia didn’t look for me. I was in a cab, and she just happened to faint in front of the car. Initially, I didn’t know it was her. The driver and I took her to the hospital. Her clothes were disheveled, as if she had been tormented by a man. The doctor also said she fainted due to extreme hunger…”

Upon hearing this, Shen Yuting was fully awake.

Her eyes widened in shock as she stared at Jiang Liu, “You’re saying Cheng Jia was tortured by men and even fainted from hunger?”

“Yes, she looked very disheveled. It seems like she ran into some trouble. I’m not sure if it was an accident or if someone orchestrated it,” Jiang Liu said, slowing down towards the end.

Shen Yuting blinked, “Are you suggesting that someone did it on purpose? Could it be Mo Xiuchen?”

Hearing her mention Mo Xiuchen’s name, a flicker of unusual emotion passed through Jiang Liu’s eyes, but it vanished swiftly, unnoticed by Shen Yuting. He responded, “Not necessarily. If it were Mo Xiuchen, he wouldn’t need to resort to such means. When you see Wen Ran some day, you might want to ask her. If it was Mo Xiuchen, then let it be. If not, letting them know about Cheng Jia’s experiences wouldn’t be a bad thing.”

Jiang Liu was merely suggesting, uncertain if Cheng Jia’s ordeal was linked to Mo Xiuchen.

However, he felt that Mo Xiuchen could have destroyed Cheng Jia’s reputation in other ways and not like this. As for Wen Ran, she wasn’t the type to employ such means either.

Whether or not it was their doing, informing them about Cheng Jia’s current situation seemed like a good cautionary measure.

Shen Yuting nodded, “Okay, I’ll ask Ranran when I see her.”

As Wen Ran and Mo Xiuchen were mentioned, she recalled the sweet interactions between them at Mo Xiuchen’s house that evening, and a sudden heaviness filled her chest.

“Hmm!”

Jiang Liu smiled faintly, having finished talking about Cheng Jia. He then reached out to embrace Shen Yuting, attempting to be intimate. However, Shen Yuting seemed very reluctant and frowned displeasedly, pushing him away, “Ah Liu, let’s sleep, I don’t want to tonight…”

“Alright, let’s sleep. I’ll just hold you like this, and do nothing else.”

Jiang Liu felt somewhat dejected but did not want to force her or upset her. He truly just held her, daring not to make any further moves.

**

The next morning, Mo Jingteng woke up.

When he opened his eyes and saw the two people in front of his hospital bed, surprise flickered across his face. Beside him, the bodyguard gently explained, “Master, I came early in the morning and happened to run into Miss Cheng. She was admitted last night. Hearing you were still not discharged, she came to visit you.”

Cheng Jia was wearing a hospital gown, with strands of hair scattered over her shoulders, but it could not cover the marks on her chest, and her face was pale and haggard.

“Cheng Jia, what happened to you?”

Mo Jingteng looked at Cheng Jia for a long time, his words not only weak but slurred as well.

Deep inside, he was very aware that Cheng Jia’s plight was all due to him. Hearing his words, a flash of hatred shot through Cheng Jia’s eyes, and her already pale face twisted with barely suppressed loathing.

“It was Wen Ran. She took revenge on me for stealing Mo Xiuchen away from her before. She hired a few men to kidnap me, saying they would torture me to death.”

Cheng Jia spoke each word with gritted teeth.

She vowed to repay Wen Ran’s humiliation manifold. She had even allowed those men to degrade her and said they would take….

“Again, Wen Ran?” Mo Jingteng’s voice carried anger, his expression agitated.

“Yes, it was Wen Ran. Chairman, I want to leave G City temporarily. If Wen Ran finds out I’ve escaped, she will definitely seek revenge again by sending men after me.”

Mo Jingteng frowned, pondering for a moment before replying with difficulty, “Alright, leave G City. Don’t let Wen Ran find you. Have Ah Cheng give you a business card. If you can win that man’s favor, seeking revenge won’t be hard.”

Finished speaking, sweat appeared on Mo Jingteng’s forehead, and his breathing became a bit laborious.

Next, there will be quite a spectacle to watch.

Cheng Jia’s eyes lit up, and she immediately stood up. She gave Mo Jingteng a deep bow and promised, “Chairman, rest assured, I will make Wen Ran disappear from this world and ensure she cannot steal Mo Xiuchen from you.”

As long as she was alive, she would make Wen Ran regret her actions against her. Cheng Jia clenched her teeth and took the business card handed to her by the bodyguard. She looked at it and held it tightly in her hand.

“If you truly eliminate Wen Ran, this time, even if it means forcing Mo Xiuchen to marry you, I will help you,” Mo Jingteng said with a very sinister look in his eyes!
